hey Lori here today we're going to be
doing a candy wreath with one of these
awesome white uh Pine wreaths I love
these These are fun this is so popular
this year so I thought it might be fun
for us to do one so the first thing I'm
going to do is cut up my
mesh I like to start with a clean
Edge I just find it works a little
better that way okay and I'm going to do
15
in and it's this really pretty pink and
white it even has a little bit of kind
of a blue tinge to it so I think it's
going to match
perfect okay so I just put my mesh on my
mat cut it up and then we'll get
started okay so I'm going to use about
15 pieces of the 15
in let me show you the ribbons so I have
this really cute ribbon that has the
little macaroon candies on
it I have a little bit of blue with
some snow and a little bit of plain
blue and I'm going to pull this
out so we can get
started we have a lot of really fun
things we're going to put in this
one but we're going to put in the
mesh just to kind of start bringing the
color in so mesh is a great way to start
to fill in these wreath give it a nice
base color and it also is going to be
more economical than doing
all little pieces to put in here because
that can start to get a little
expensive now this is an elevated base
and this comes from
Joan it's a 24
in and it's really pretty isn't it so
one thing you need to know about these
faces is that you don't want to store
these somewhere where it's going to be
hot because they will yellow so you
definitely want to store these indoors
like in a closet or somewhere where it's
going to stay in a temperature
controlled
environment because heat will turn these
into
yellow okay so we're going to take our
Mish and we're just going to kind of
roll it and then pull it together just
like that and then start placing it
in I'm tying it with my little ties
here
okay now you can put it either way so
this way you will get more curl and less
ruffle this way you will get more ruffle
and less curl so you can do it either
way there's no rule that says you have
to do it one way or the
other just depends on what you
like sometimes I like it one way and
sometimes I like it the
other so this mesh here is from Craft
Outlet and it's super pretty it's a
great color you can use it for Christmas
you can use it for
Valentine's you can use it for breast
cancer waths you can use it for
spring so these are really great to have
because there's multiple Seasons that
you can use these
colors you can also use it for Mother's
Day so a lot of
uses
we're just going to go up and down along
the whole wreath
face bringing in this color you see how
it's already starting to brighten it up
bring that pink
in okay so now I'm going to go back and
put in a little bit where I see a lot of
white
showing just kind of add a little filler
here and there until I use the pieces
that I've
cut look how pretty that is already okay
so now what we're going to do is we're
going to make our bow put our bow in and
let me show you some of the fun things
that we have to put in so we have some
little
gumdrops a little
lollipop we have this awesome cupcake to
put
in here's our macaroons to match our
ribbon and we have some little bitty
lollipops
and then we have some ornaments so I'm
going to use the pink and the blue from
here so first things first let's make
our
bow okay so this ribbon came from Hobby
Lobby it's in the Christmas section you
can see it has the little macaroon
candies on it it is so cute so I want to
do
oh let's do about 24 in
tail
okay we go I'm going to go ahead and
drop that in the floor just makes it a
little bit easier for me to work
with and I'm going to go to the 6
inch again the six now you can see these
are going in opposite directions so to
combat that all I'm going to do is lift
this up and flip it
around it's a really easy way to make
sure your ribbon's going in the same
direction does it
matter if you flip this way or that way
whatever is more comfortable for
you that's what you want to do so so you
can flip it this way this one we flip
the other
way so I'm going to do three
Loops
here
okay right there
there and I'm going to pull my tail
out trim it
off
okay all right
now I want to put in some of this this
is so cute with a little glitter on
it
okay that in the floor
okay so I want to do two Loops of this
one this bow is called a
321 all that means is three Loops at one
size two Loops at one size one loop at
one
size and I just pull this
out Trim It
Off
and I want to put this ribbon back on
top this time we're going to do a
shorter
tail so let's say this is about 12 in
long okay and I'm going to do the same
six
in on both
sides remember we're going to flip this
one you want to flip it after you've
made the loop but before you've
tightened the bow
okay so I'm going to take a zip tie run
it
underneath get it
started pull it out all right so right
there is my indention most important
thing with making a bow is to hold your
bow while you're slipping your zip tie
around and then make sure it stays in
that indention all the ribbons stay flat
like this that way you're not going to
have a problem with your ribbons
moving or your size
changing I'm going to take another zip
tie and I'm G put it in the back and
then tighten it
up I like to
use my zip ties to hold it while I fluff
it and I'm just going to pull my Loops
out spread them out
first
this make makes it a little bit easier
for me to fluff it if I do that first
you always want to do one side and then
the other otherwise it can get really
easy to start to lose track of where you
are
okay there we
go
[Music]
okay there make sure you pull out all
the little pieces that get stuck down in
the zip tie cuz that's what's going to
prevent it from fluffing the
best you just kind of twist it and then
pull it
out we go and the twisting of the ribbon
helps to to loosen it so that you can
pull out those little pieces that get
stuck
okay all
right so we're going to take this bow
and I want to tie
it at the top and I want to tie it on
this inner ring the reason is is if you
tie it on this back ring it's going to
tend to want to fall backwards if you
tie it on this inner ring you can
control keeping it to the
back so I just slip my zip
tie right in
between the
base and then this one around the base
so you can see where it is right
here okay and then I can put my bow in
place
where I want it to
be okay and then I'll start to tighten
it you want to make sure that you pull
it towards the underneath the bow and
you also want to make
sure that you don't tighten it so much
that your bow wants to sink
in so you want to be careful when you're
tightening it make sure you're not
tightening it too much so that your bow
sinks
in so I'm going to kind of readjust my
Loops
here there we go all right so I'm just
going to trim it
off so right here is the hanger
for the
wreath
okay all right now I'm going to take
this I'm I'm going to pull it straight
up fold it in half and cut it at an
angle that gives me my nice little
doveet
tail we go and then these ribbons
here I'm going to take these I'm going
to come across
here I'm going to pinch it and I'm going
to tie it with one
of my little pieces here all right so
right there so same thing on the other
side I pull it
across I
pinch and I'm going to tie it right in
here and then I can let
these drape over the side I'll just cut
them at an
angle
there these two will hang down like
this okay so cut these at an
angle okay and what we can do is with
this space behind the bow we can put
some of our little pieces
in okay so this came from high Hobby
Lobby this came from Hobby Lobby this
one and this one and this one so all
these came from Hobby Lobby I want to
keep these in the groups of
Threes okay so this will be
one this will be another
one
okay
there
and this will be another
one now this has a hanger on it which
I'm not going to use so I'm just going
to trim that off and I want to pull
these out so they look really cute and
fun I'm going to run it in my glue and
I'm going to put it in the Evergreen and
I'm going to move it around
around and make sure that it is gluing
into the Evergreen cuz that is what it's
going to glue
to
okay put this
one right in
here so I kind of want these to be
together like a
three
three little pieces together just like
that see isn't that
cute all
right I just kind of double check make
sure it
glued it
did okay we have this adorable
thing here love this
hope we have a little piece fell off
let's F that so I'll just glue it right
back
on not
quite go so see right
there
okay all
right it's
adorable all
right so I to put this
kind of over here on the
side
okay right in here so want to make
sure I got it hitting some
pieces oh how
cute yeah and I'm going to put this on
this other
side or we can put it down here kind of
across so either way works
fine these little ribbons are a little
bit wrinkled so I'm just kind of trying
to pull them out a little
bit
okay okay I think we'll put this one
right in here
all right so I'm just going to angle it
down in
[Music]
there so you see we've kind of created a
little
triangle and we've balanced it so we
have kind of a large item there a large
item
here all right now we're going to put
these
in and then we're gonna put a couple of
these and we're going to put our
ornaments
in
okay so you can keep these together or
you can separate them
out it's really just whatever you
feel I'm kind of keep them
together and want in here oh how cute
look how cute that
is
okay one over
here right back in
here so what you do to one side you want
to do the other side doesn't have to be
in the same
space this I think I want
to kind of
separate Maybe
put in
here oh that's so
cute one in
here there oh that's so
cute and
one right down in
here
okay all right now
we're going to get out our ornaments and
add those
in so that's going to start to take
up some of the white that we have
showing okay these came from Hobby Lobby
and they're 50% off so I got 50 of
these
oh I love this color so I like to put
the
glue over the whole
piece and then same thing I'm going to
put it in push it
[Music]
around
this like
that
I want to put one kind of underneath my
little ribbon
there one down here so I'm just kind of
spreading them
out
G to put one over
here right there oh how
cute
okay let's put one more and then we're
going to
flip to the other side and do the
pink
there we go all right let's grab our
pinks and let's start put some pinks
in right in
there one right in
there oh that's so
cute
look how
adorable one in
there those are pretty and
bright I like pretty and
bright
okay one down in
here
okay I'm going to put one
right behind this
bow it's going to do double duty it's
going to look cute and it's going to
keep my bow in
place okay I want to
put this last blue one right in
here right in
there and let's put one more
peek let's
see right I think we'll actually put it
on under that
ribbon so right in
here then we just kind of spread our
ribbon back over
it oh how cute look at that oh look how
cute that is all right
now
right let's put our little lollipops in
here oh these are so
cute aren't those
cute in another video I'm going to show
you how you can make these
yourself but for today we're going to
use
some from the hotlocks okay so one in
there
one make be right in here there oh
cute
okay one in here right back in
there and our last
one
right back here behind the
bow look how cute that
is still feels like it needs
something okay I'm going put a few more
of these
in okay these are so cute uh oh we're
missing
one it's okay we'll just trim that
off and it'll just look like a little
piece
okay there we go oh
hot
okay
one back in
here
that got blue
one
here got these two pink
ones
put this back in
here that's
cute
there okay then we got one that has all
three
colors now these you
can scrunch them up you can pull them
out you can separate them or keep them
together
put it right in
here there we
go
okay all right I want to take a little
bit of this ribbon here and I want to
put a little bit in so I'm going to
do let's
say 10 in I'm thinking yeah
okay so 10
inch okay and I'm going to take one
side and I'm going to cut it at an angle
just like
that then I'm going to take this I'm
going to pinch
it and I fold it
over put a little glue on it and then
I'm going to start adding it
in to bring some more blue
into our
wreath
so this will help break up the pink and
just bring some of that pretty blue
color in
it
okay now I'm just ping it right to the
Evergreen
do you have a pick machine you can use
that I have one
somewhere there we go
right that one
there put this final one under the bow
we oh how fun look how fun that
is all right y'all have to tell me what
you
think all right and I'll see you in the
next video thanks for watching make sure
to subscribe bye
y'all
