She is teaching the children how to meditate.
Hello everyone, RuLian sister is here today with everyone at the QiCaiQiao Children's Home.
Are you all very happy?
In the previous episode, everyone listened to a beautiful fairy
In order to save the good people,
they spread the story of the Truth Seeds everywhere.
Letting the children know from it,
people are only willing to accept the Truth Seeds hidden by the good people,
in order to avoid disasters and have a beautiful future.
In today's program,
Sister RuLin wants to tell the children through another little story.
Kindness and sincerity will be rewarded by God.
Even if it is a very small good deed,
when we do it with sincerity and kindness,
it will also bring us unexpected joy and grace.
The name of this story is
The Bodhisattva of Tibet with a Doughnut.
A long, long time ago,
in the countryside of Japan,
there lived a couple of lovely grandparents.
Although they worked very hard,
they were still very poor.
Sometimes, they couldn't even afford to eat.
One morning, the old lady said to the old man,
My dear, it looks like the New Year is coming tomorrow.
But look, there is only a little glutinous rice left in our rice cooker.
Maybe we can only make a small rice ball.
If it goes on like this, how are we going to spend the New Year?
After saying that, the old lady sighed with sadness.
She thought about it for a while,
and then she said to the old man,
My dear, I remember that we still have some dried leaves in our house.
If we make them into doughnuts and sell them on the street,
maybe we can make some money.
Then maybe we can have a good New Year.
That's a good idea.
Let's do it.
The old man replied,
Then they found the only leaves in the house,
and quickly made the doughnuts.
After a day and a night of hard work,
the two of them together in the morning of the next day,
that is, at dawn on the night of the New Year,
finally made five very beautiful doughnuts.
The old man took the doughnuts and hurried out.
As soon as he opened the door, he found that it was snowing outside.
There was already a thick layer of white snow on the ground.
But the old man, who was full of hope, still walked happily to the market in the snow.
As he walked, the old man saw six people standing in front of him.
He walked in and saw that it was the statue of the Bodhisattva of Tibet.
Because the snow was so heavy, the head of the statue was covered with snow.
Seeing this, the old man swiped the snow off the heads of the Bodhisattvas of Tibet,
and said in a low voice,
I'm going to the market now to sell doughnuts.
When I sell the doughnuts and have the money,
I'll come back and buy some glutinous rice and make rice cakes to offer to the Bodhisattvas.
But now I can only make some snowballs to offer first.
Please bear with me for a while.
After the old man finished speaking, he sat down and raised the snow on the ground.
He made six round snowballs and put them in front of the Bodhisattvas of Tibet.
Then he kneeled on the snow with his hands together in front of the six Bodhisattvas of Tibet,
and fell down sincerely for a while.
After that, the old man looked up and saw that it was getting late,
so he quickly got up and rushed to the market.
When the old man came to the market, the market was bustling with people coming and going.
The whole street was full of people who were busy buying New Year's goods.
All kinds of sellers were also lined up.
The old man joined in.
He shouted loudly,
Is there anyone who wants to buy a top-grade douli?
Come and buy! This is a top-grade good douli!
Although the old man was trying very hard to sell,
he sold for a long time, but no one came to buy.
In fact, thinking about it, I also know that
on such a big New Year's Eve, people are all busy buying New Year's goods.
Who would buy a top-grade douli?
What's more, when it snows heavily, people almost all go out with a top-grade douli.
As time went by, the snow was getting heavier and heavier,
and the sky was getting darker and darker.
At the market, the rice and vegetable sellers began to close their stalls and prepare to go home for the New Year.
In a blink of an eye, the pedestrians on the street were slowly dispersing.
There was only a quiet street left.
The old man, who had been selling for a day and exhausted, looked at the empty market, which had calmed down,
and was disappointed to step on the heavy steps and walk home.
It was not easy to get near the village.
He looked up and saw the Tibetan Bodhisattva statues he had seen when he went to the market in the morning.
The old man was covered in snow again when he saw these statues.
He walked over, reached out his already frozen hands, and once again cleared the snow on their heads one by one.
Looking at the snow that kept falling from the sky, the old man thought,
Such heavy snow, in a while there will be more snow on the heads of the Bodhisattvas.
Why don't I put on all the chains in my hands for the Bodhisattvas?
In this way, there will be no more snow on the heads of the Bodhisattvas.
Thinking of this, the old man said to the Bodhisattva,
Bodhisattva, I wanted to buy some rice cakes to offer to you, but I didn't sell any today, so I have to ask you to forgive me.
Now I only have these chains in my hands.
If the Bodhisattvas don't mind, let me put them on for you.
In this way, at least a little bit of snow can be covered.
After saying this, the old man went up to the Bodhisattva and put on a little bit of the chains for the Bodhisattva.
And he tied the chains one by one.
Because there were only five chains, and in the end there was still a little missing.
What should I do?
Thinking about this, the old man decided to take off his headscarf.
When he took off his headscarf, the headscarf was already wet with snow.
The old man took off his headscarf and said to the Bodhisattva,
I'm sorry, the headscarf is wet with snow. I have to ask you to compromise.
In this way, the headscarf of the six Bodhisattvas was covered with snow.
The old man knelt on the snow again.
Just like in the morning, he kneaded six snowballs with snow and offered them to the Bodhisattva.
After doing all this, the old man walked home in the snow.
At this time, it was already dark.
After returning home, the old man told everything to the old woman.
After hearing this, the old woman not only did not blame and be angry with the old man,
but also smiled and said to the old man,
You did the right thing. You should do this.
That night was New Year's Eve.
They ate a little bit of leftover sauce with porridge and went to bed.
The next day, the sky was just bright.
A strange sound suddenly rang in the yard.
The old man and the old woman were awakened by this strange sound.
On this snowy day, the sky is not yet bright.
Who is outside?
The old man and the old woman, full of doubts,
had to slowly get up from the bed.
Suddenly, they opened the door and looked.
Wow! There were a lot of straw bags tied up with straw in front of the door.
When they opened it, they saw that there were not only fresh rice cakes, fish, meat and vegetables inside,
but also the auspicious objects and coins in the house, and many other things.
There were so many things that it was hard to count.
It turned out that these things were given to the old man
and the old man was rewarded.
Facing the reward and grace of the Bodhisattva,
the old man and the old woman shed tears of joy and gratitude.
They knelt on the ground with their heads bowed,
constantly thanking the Bodhisattva.
Dear children,
have you heard the story so far?
Are you very happy to receive the reward and grace of the Bodhisattva on the first day of the New Year
for the good old man and the old woman?
In fact, do you know?
Every one of us has a thought.
Maybe you don't even know it very well,
but the heaven and earth know it very well.
So some people get the blessing of the Bodhisattva
because of their good thoughts.
Some people get punished by the heaven
because of their bad thoughts.
This is what the ancients of China said,
A good thought will bring good luck,
a bad thought will bring bad luck,
and so on.
It means that good thoughts will bring good luck,
and bad thoughts will bring bad luck.
Those who understand this truth
will be able to get the blessing of the Bodhisattva.
And a person who is full of good thoughts all day
will also make the people around him full of good thoughts.
So the life in good thoughts
is of course the happiest.
So, children, if you want to be happy,
you have to keep good thoughts all the time.
How can you keep good thoughts all the time?
This requires children to strictly ask themselves from now on
to be a good person according to the standards of the universe.
For example, don't say dirty words, lies, and swear words.
Don't do things that harm and bully others.
Be filial to parents and elders.
Don't lose your temper.
Don't throw garbage around.
Don't hurt small animals, and so on.
In other words,
you have to have a peaceful good heart for anyone and everything.
As long as you can hold this good heart
and persist in doing small things,
you will be able to constantly improve your moral quality.
You will also be able to make your good thoughts stronger and stronger.
Okay, it's time for us to say goodbye again.
Dear children,
I will still be waiting for you in the next episode.
