Hello friends, welcome back to my channel.
I'm Lorena if you're new here, today we're decorating for Christmas.
This is part 1 of my Christmas decorate with me so there will be plenty of Christmas decorating
videos to come so make sure you're subscribed if you're not already.
I'm super excited just to start making all of our spaces feel super cozy and festive
for the holiday season.
Today we're decorating our downstairs living area so living room, dining space and kitchen
and just ready to transform it for Christmas so hopefully you get some new Christmas decorating
ideas and enjoy.
So here is a little bump update, she is growling, growling.
We may or may not have a little Christmas baby, we'll see, she'll be here sometime at
the end of next month so I will keep you guys updated so let's get to decorating.
And here is our living room once I took down all of the fall and Halloween decor.
It's looking so bare and empty so I was excited to make it cozy in here again and we did have
to rearrange some of the furniture on this side to make room for the tree.
So this is the 9 foot pre-lit Christmas tree from Costco and it's from a few years ago
so the one they have now the lights are a little different but it's still a beautiful
tree and I love it so much and I did get Mr. Batman a little Christmas toy so he can be
distracted while I do some decorating especially when I decorate the couch I had to move him
off of that.
But I set out all of my decorations on my dining table just to see what I had to decorate
the living room and the kitchen and I'm using lots of greenery and bells, some golds and
adding in those pops of red and green and I really really love how everything looks
all together.
I'm starting with the couch and just giving it a quick vacuum before I add in some pillows.
I actually didn't get any new pillows for this couch downstairs I did get some new ones
for our living room couch upstairs but I'm just going to use the ones that I already
have and sticking with mostly neutrals.
This first pillow cover is from Crate and Barrel and this one is from Pottery Barn.
I've had them for a couple years and they're just such great quality, super soft and I
just used some pillow inserts from Amazon and I really like that they're just a cream
color so it's a good like base pillow so I can add in some accent pillows and the
rest of them that I have are just from Target either last year or a few years ago.
Moving on to the side table and accent chair which complete the little sitting area here
in the living room.
I'm going to add some decor trees and a bowl with ornaments but first I wanted to show
you their color in better lighting they're so pretty and they're going to go well and
complement the ornaments and the ribbon that I usually use here on this Christmas tree.
This one is from Walmart and I love that dark green color and the velvet ribbon look and
then the dark red one is from Target and then I really love these ornaments they're some
of my favorites that I've ever gotten.
They're from Crate and Barrel and they just look so gorgeous in a bowl as decor and of
course on a tree I think they would look so pretty.
I also have the red and green version of these which I put on my tree and I absolutely
love them.
And just adding this cozy throw which I think goes really well with the color of the ornaments
and it just completes the look.
Now I'm going to add some decor to this coffee table just going to wipe it down first I'm
going to do some greenery here and bells and a candle just going to make it festive
and cozy but still keep it pretty simple.
First I'm going to use this pot for the greenery but it was a pretty big opening and when I
put some of the stems they kind of just flopped over so I am putting a smaller vase in there
and then just some plastic bags to help keep the stems like nice and up and for it to look
more full.
These stems are from Hobby Lobby last year and they look so beautiful I think they look
very realistic so I'm just putting a few in here and then fluffing them up.
Just using this book as a stand for the bells that I'm going to be setting on here I got
these bells last year and I love them they are beautiful and I like that they're three
different sizes and a little bit of a different shape and then I'm going to add this ribbon
from Amazon it has such a pretty brownish gold color to it and I'm just tying it on
the loops it just gives such a pretty festive touch I think anytime you add some velvet
ribbon to your decor it makes it extra pretty and perfect for Christmas I did it with so
much of my decor last year so I definitely had to do it again.
Just finishing off the table with this candle it's from Target last year and it's pretty
much almost finished so I'll probably have to pick up a new candle but I love how all
of this looks together.
And now I'm going to add decor to this beautiful cabinet which we just got this year so I've
only been able to decorate it for the fall season and I was so excited to be able to
add Christmas decor to it it's from Magee & Co and it was definitely an investment but
I'm so glad we got it I think it really transformed this room and it's even more beautiful with
holiday decor so I'm going to start off with the top shelf which the shelves are pretty
tall so I wanted to use some taller decor especially here on the top I found these super
cute light up birch trees at Aldi they came in a set of two and they look so cozy lit
up and have a timer so they're perfect for any space and then in the middle I'm just
adding these two decor books to give height to some brass bells I just added some green
and red velvet ribbon made some little bows and I think they look so pretty.
Finishing off this other side with these black reindeer that I got from Target I like
that they're pretty big so they definitely fill up this space well.
For this next shelf I'm going to do a little Christmas village with these ceramic houses
I got them from Target they're from the wonder shop and they also have timers with a little
light so they look so cute and cozy especially at night I got four of them and they're all
slightly different but perfect all together and then I also got some little wooden trees
which are actually from the craft section at Target and I think the natural wood color
is so pretty paired with the houses and also match well with the wood accent on the shelves.
And these beautiful glass trees are from the Target dollar spot and they do have an opening
at the bottom so you can put some tea lights and they look so pretty and just complete
the look of this village.
Just finishing off the cabinet with this shelf I'm starting with this snowy trees framed
art that is just a digital print from Etsy and tying in a black accent to match the reindeer
with this black wooden tree and then in the middle I'm using a wood piece to anchor three
different glass vases which I just put a few different vase filler pieces in them like
pine cones red berries and bells it's just vase filler that I've had from several years
and I just mix it up all together and then finishing up with a brass letters to Santa
mailbox from Michaels and then that other birch tree for more cozy lights on this shelf
and the cabinet is finished and I love how it all came together.
And we added some garland to the top of the cabinet this one is from the studio
Mickey line at Target and then I got two of these which I got last year from Bed Bath
and Beyond actually online and I just draped one on each side and then the Target one on
top.
I really love just that extra festive look that it gives and now I'm just going to wipe
down the dining table so I can add some decor.
I'm using this brass tray to set all of the decor on and starting with a tall vase and
tying some red velvet ribbon just making a pretty bow which really does add such a
nice festive Christmas touch and all the ribbon that I'm using is from Amazon and I will of
course link it and link everything that's available from today's video down below for
you guys.
These stems are from Hobby Lobby last year I really love those cedar branches and they
also have these little blueberries on them which look so pretty and they also just fill
this space very well.
And just setting these rustic trees which I got from Target last year but I know that
they also had them this year and I'm going to fill the rest of the tray with some pine
cones and bells.
And I didn't put any ornaments up on the tree yet but I will decorate it for my next
video and I still have to decorate our built in shelves and I have another Christmas tree
upstairs so there will be lots more Christmas decorating videos soon.
And now I'm ready to add some decor to the kitchen I'm starting off with this snow drop
scented Mrs. Meyers cleaning spray it smells so good and it's my favorite to use for the
Christmas and winter season I'm just going to wipe down the island and start decorating.
I set out everything I'll be using here in the kitchen and I'm doing some reds and
greens some pine cones and greenery trying to keep it simple but festive as well.
Trying to keep this little corner somewhat functional I'm going to set everything on
this plate and I'm starting with a flocked tree I just tied a velvet bow for a touch
of red and then adding my oil dispensers and then a little tree holder that I got from
the Target dollar spot I plan to put some napkins in it but I do want to pick up some
Christmas ones and then I'm going to finish off with a spoon rest from Home Goods.
These tea towels are from Pottery Barn and I feel like the colors really tie in well
with all of the decor here in the kitchen.
Adding in some wooden cutting boards and I wanted to give one of them an extra festive
touch so just adding some ribbon and a pine cone and berries and it also adds a nice touch
of red to match well with the rest of the decor here.
Just wiping down this area so I can add in some festive mugs and make a little coffee
slash hot cocoa station.
This is the only new mug that I got this year from Michaels.
It's super cute.
The rest I've had from previous years and still really love them.
I'm going to use this wooden tray to anchor the rest of the pieces here.
I have this cookies for Santa jar but I'm actually flipping it so you can't see the
words and I just tied a green velvet bow on top and it has all of the Keurig cups in there
and then this little tree is from Walmart and then this cute sleigh is from the Target
Dollar Spot and I'm just adding some little peppermint stirring sticks for hot cocoa and
then I have a hot cocoa sign that I got from Target a few years ago and I still think it
looks so cute here in the kitchen.
Moving on to the island.
I'm using these stems from the Hearth and Hands line from Target.
I love the little red berries and the pine cones.
I'm just using this ceramic pitcher from Hobby Lobby and then I'm going to set a bowl with
some pine cones and I have some dried oranges in there.
I actually had those from my fall decor but I decided to use them for Christmas as well
and then I'm going to finish off with a candle.
I always love adding a wreath to our pantry door for every season or holiday and I love
this one for Christmas.
It's from Target and then on the doorknob I'm going to add this Christmas countdown
sign that I've had for several years now.
And the last thing I'm doing is adding these mini wreaths to the back of the bar stools.
They're from Hobby Lobby and I just put some cute dainty ribbon on them.
I think they look so pretty and just complete the decor here in the kitchen.
I hope you guys enjoyed today's video and got some Christmas decorating ideas.
I have lots more to share soon.
Thank you so much for watching and I will see you on my next one.
