so Todd what do you make of this last Wednesday in Brazil there was a bust you know two people were indicted on terror charges ostensibly as part of an operation to take down a Hezbollah cell tell me about that I think that operations in Brazil and probably other ones planned elsewhere around the world are part of a Hezbollah uh Iranian strategy to start taking retaliation against Israel for exchanging fire on the northern border and also for the war against Hamas in the South I think it's linked to that War I think that that's a Harbinger that case in Brazil which by the way was investigated jointly by the Israeli mad and the FBI working together with a little bit of Brazilian assistance as as well uh I think that that we're we could probably expect to see more of the same Hezbollah has clandestine agents all over the world they are the most powerful us designated terrorist organization in the world the most capable the most dangerous uh they have proved it time and again all over the world uh they can kill anywhere they want to kill including in the United States okay that's uh very strong statement and you've actually done some reporting on some of these sleeper cells back in the day I believe it it was in 2018 linked to Hezbollah let me put it this way a lot of Americans are not that familiar even with Hezbollah or the these kinds of realities that you've been reporting on so maybe give me a primer right when I say that Hezbollah has clandestine agents all over the world that's actually coming from us prosecution court cases in the United States and in CA court cases in other parts of the world as well but the ones in the United States gave us a window a a a open window on hezbollah's unit 910 is what that what it has been called for many years unit 910 which is a foreign Clandestine Service of Hezbollah where people from Lebanon usually uh who have US citizenship naturalized or are here on green cards Etc and are able to travel in and out of the country are on the Hezbollah payroll monthly stiens with health care and benefits and everything uh and their job is to amass Target lists and weapons to execute on those Target list explosives guns and ammunition uh and also surveillance uh footage and video of uh hard targets just inanimate you know locations that sort of thing human beings like dual Israeli US citizens uh Israeli businessmen doing business in the United States synagogues uh US federal Offices that sort of thing and they're there waiting for an order from tan or from Beirut to go into action against those targets that's likely what we saw happen in Brazil and we've seen that happen in Bulgaria and Thailand and Argentina uh where agents that were planted for a long time and prepared waiting for the order actually went into action you know I I'll I'll just say this again this is something that I think a lot of Americans may have trouble um you know believing in the veracity of yes maybe uh well yeah I mean it's it's it's unbelievable that that that some organization actually succeeded in doing this but the United States government has succeeded in catching them and that's why we know and putting them on trial uh you mentioned a series of stories that I did in 2018 those stories are based entirely uh no interviews I did nothing I just simply went to the court case f s and found that the prosecutors had loaded it up with things like FBI 302s which are this very rarified highly protected document produced by the FBI from interviews with defendants with suspects they loaded them up into the court files they loaded tremendous amounts of me material in these Court files and so I was able to uh take all all of that there were two cases one in Dearborn and one in uh New York Brooklyn uh that were tied that were together tied uh and and uh really just was able to put together a picture of nine unit 910 inside the United States some of those court records actually named other 910 suspects in other cities around the country just put their names out there put organizations out there named names people and places and just left it like that I'm assuming they did that maybe to spook them off uh make them close shop and flee the country rather than uh make the government prosecute them
