Today's episode is about the 2028 Reopening Plan, which is a hot topic these days,
and the 2024 Certificate Examination Explanation held by Megastudy recently.
I read the Reopening Plan.
I'm still in elementary school, so I didn't have enough insight,
so I went to the explanation and listened to the stories on the spot.
After listening to it, I'm going to share it with you because it's organized in a certain part.
I'm sure elementary school parents still have a long way to go,
but if you listen to it now, it will definitely help you in the future.
First of all, this is the 2028 Reopening Plan released last month.
I've included a link in the information column, so please take a look at it.
Middle school 2 and middle school 3 will be the most confusing.
This Reopening Plan applies from the current middle school.
If the system changes, it will be more confusing and uncomfortable for children and parents of the year.
First of all, the big letters are well shown in this report.
The Reopening Plan is a progressive form of the entrance-exit system.
It eliminates the disadvantageous and advantageous problems of the entrance-exit system,
and increases the review rate in the entrance-exit system.
If you look at the actual content, there are two things that stand out.
The first is that the current 9th grade grade system is changed to a 5th grade system,
and the selection of CSAT is changed to a comprehensive subject.
I explained what the Reopening Plan is about in the mega study education and gave you some insights.
Let me summarize the main contents.
The first is that the meaning of absolute evaluation is more meaningful than personal achievement evaluation and relative evaluation without the meaning of division.
What this means is that the first grade is currently 4% in the 9th grade system.
If it is changed to a 5th grade system, the first grade is 10%.
Then, you can no longer have a bias just by the grade,
so the original score and actual score that the child receives are important,
which means that the child's level of achievement itself becomes important.
And the second is that the college and department are determined by the CSAT score,
and the child in the department becomes advantageous.
There are three major types currently.
There are three types, the CSAT for the Department of Education,
the CSAT for the Department of Education,
and the CSAT for the Department of Education.
In the reform, the CSAT will be changed to a common subject.
It will be reformed into a comprehensive science and a comprehensive society,
and in the case of mathematics, all exams will be conducted as a common test
with a majority, a minority, a probability, and a statistic without a choice.
In the past, if you look at it like this,
the liberal arts students only had to do one choice subject in math,
but now that there is no distinction between liberal arts and science,
they have to take the same exam.
Then, of course, the science students who are strong in math will be advantageous.
As it was the case in our time,
it is very difficult for a liberal arts student who is good at Korean society to be good at math and science,
but on the contrary, it is easier for a child who is good at math and science to be good at Korean society.
So, the science students will take the top of the entire grade.
In this way, regardless of major,
science students will take over top schools in liberal arts
and will be more likely to take the CSAT.
This is actually a part that I was quite impressed with while listening.
Next is the third one.
The status and preference of special education and private schools will be much higher than now.
The ratio of special education and private schools in national universities is actually only 6%.
However, it is the same as taking the entrance exam once from the 9th grade before enrolling.
As long as there is a special education and private school,
competition from the middle school has no choice but to be more fierce.
Previously, I said that the meaning of the inner class is gone and the degree of individual accomplishment is important.
So, they prefer schools where individuals can do well,
and it means that these students are more likely to prepare for the CSAT than to prepare for the CSAT through the inner class.
For this reason, it means that more preference will be drawn towards special education and private schools.
For example, most of the Hanwha high school students are already in the middle school and have been working for a long time.
It is inevitable that it will be difficult for these students to enter Seoul National University through the inner class,
but it means that they will study hard to go to the official exam through the CSAT.
In an environment where absolute evaluation is strengthened than relative evaluation,
of course, the degree of individual accomplishment is important,
so it means that the atmosphere of special education and private schools can be brought to a better place.
In addition, the importance of mathematics and science will be very high,
and this will increase the pressure on learning.
There is a part that I felt while participating in this lecture.
The title of the lecture itself is a special education and private school entrance strategy lecture,
so there was a lot of talk about how to explain how to enter the school or how to set up a strategy for the third year of middle school.
In particular, it did not include the contents such as how to get good grades or good grades in general high school,
but since it was aimed at the top group,
it appealed to the importance of the choice of special education and private schools in front of the strategy centered on medical school or Sky Entrance.
When I felt like this on the spot, I thought that a lot of numbers participated compared to the previous lecture.
Hundreds of people were at the scene, and the lecture was held for two full hours on the weekend.
Of course, there were a lot of parents,
and I thought that there were a lot more fathers than when I went to the lecture a few years ago.
And I thought that the number of children participating has increased a lot more than before.
While listening to the lecture, I thought a lot about what to do in elementary school.
I felt frustrated because of the complicated education system and reality.
In the explanation, I said it was for the third year of middle school.
But in the middle, middle school parents or elementary school parents raised their hands.
There were a lot of parents and children in the first and second years of middle school, and there were also a lot of parents in the sixth grade of elementary school.
So, looking at the parents, I thought that they were very interested in the drafts that are being revised now.
And I thought that the people below that started to recognize a lot of new changes.
In fact, not all of the stories in the explanation are correct,
but I was helped by the general understanding of the current entrance exam and the revised entrance exam.
In fact, you don't have to go to too many lectures in elementary school,
but if you go to a few lectures in the sixth grade of elementary school, middle school, and high school,
I think it will help you set your own direction.
If you look at the recent news articles, the government announced that it would increase the number of medical admissions from 2025 to 2025,
which greatly increased interest in medicine.
From the beginning of elementary school, there was a medical entrance exam class or a medical preparation class.
And among the Seoul National University admissions,
it is said that there are many children who want to quit their majors and go to medical school through re-enrollment or re-enrollment.
Rather than their aptitude and interest, they are choosing a career for the stability of their job or for the sake of it.
In the recent EBS documentary,
I was actually surprised to see that only 20% of the students who take classes properly in high school are in the sleeping classroom.
It was very sad to see that the children who are already considered to be a failure in the entrance exam do not have the will to take classes at school
and that the role of the school does not exist just for the sake of admission,
but it seems to have changed in our educational environment that values only the results.
I was really worried about where to start and how to create a desirable educational environment.
However, we cannot ignore the educational environment or system of our education in Korea.
If you look at the purpose and background of the reform proposal,
it is designed to contribute to the development of future talent,
so that students, parents, colleges, and universities can all be predictable and prepared,
and the fairness of the entrance exam and the internal evaluation of the high school that does not fit the future society are the background of the proposal.
This proposal background looks very desirable,
but I was a little curious about whether it would be more fair than it is now in the application of the system,
and whether many children would be happy to receive education that really suits their career aptitude.
Today, I went to the explanation with the 2028 Reform Proposal and talked about it.
The entrance exam is a very complicated and difficult issue that involves many relationships.
As an elementary school parent, it may not be very touching yet,
but you need to keep track of these new and important issues
with the idea that you will listen to them little by little.
Then, you can be less influenced by the wrong information about the entrance exam later,
and you will be able to reduce unnecessary consulting.
And the right things to do when you are young,
not simply to accumulate knowledge for the success of the entrance exam,
but because you can become a real talent and raise it as a child who can play a good role in society.
We will continue to share more expert interviews and explanations about the entrance exam.
