A Turkey Vulture on a street in North Park #birds

I had never seen a Turkey Vulture before, today was a first! What an amazing bird! I didn’t actually know what it was, had to do a little research. Turkey Vultures are found in the western part of California. Their size range from 25 to 32 inches, with a wingspan of 5 to 6 feet. They feed on dead animals.

I encountered this one in North Park at the edge of a canyon above Mission Valley. So amazing!

While doing the research I also found out that we also have Condors in California. They are quite a bit bigger, though.
