LEO RAINVILLE - THE THUNDER ROLLS

He's heading back home somewhere, where he never should have been, headed to the road. In the Thunder Road. Every light is burning, house across town. Spacing by a telephone, in a faded platinum gown. Asking for a miracle, hoping she's not right. Praying is the weather, that kept him up all night. In the Thunder Road. The road is dry, a hole, on a sleepless night. As the storm rolls in, out of control. In the Thunder Road, he pulls into the drive. She rushes out to hold him, faithful he's alive. Strange new perfume glow, lightening flashes in her eyes. And he knows, that she knows. In the Thunder Road. It was night, as the storm rolls in, out of control. Deep in her heart, the Thunder rolls, through the bedroom door. She reaches for the pistol, hidden in the dresser drawer. Tells the lady in the mirror, he won't do this again. Tonight will be the last time, she'll wonder where he's been. In the Thunder Road. In a lightning strike, the road's cold. On a sleepless night, as the storm rolls in, out of control. Deep in her heart, the Thunder rolls.
