Auction to include lost painting of George Washington

There is no more important portrait of George Washington in private hands today. It depicts him as the supreme leader of the American forces and of course projects I think effectively that quiet and serene calm which was his most notable characteristic in battle. The art market is strong. We certainly are cautiously optimistic that the strength of the market will continue into next week with the American sales and I think it's an indication of the general strength of the economy and the passion of our collectors for American pictures and we expect a good result next week.
