Inspiring ideas for November: cozy crochet & forest treasure crafts 🍂 cottagecore cooking | art vlog
Hello, guys! The end of October is this magical time when autumn finally grows into itself, and starts showing its vibrant character. But it's also the month of chilly and moody weather and relaxing days of the fall break, spent cooking warm comfort food, drinking cinnamon-spiced cocoa, crocheting a new pair of mittens and making crafts with forest treasures.
And all these and more I'm going to share with you in today's video 😊 So make yourself a cup of tea (or even better a mug of hot cocoa) and join me for a day of cozy cooking, painting butterflies on pressed leaves and creating a new Samhain-inspired art! I hope you will enjoy it! 🥰
Materials & Resources
1. French toast. I always follow this quick & easy recipe https://www.mccormick.com/recipes/breakfast-brunch/quick-and-easy-french-toast
2. Crocheted mittens. I got inspired by this tutorial https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v3X70X55kIg&pp=ygUVZ3Jhbm55IHNxdWFyZSBtaXR0ZW5z but since I had a thicker yarn, eventually I went off the rails and improvised 😅 But I like the result and thanks to the thick yarn the mittens are deliciously warm!
3. Acorn and pine cone fairy & butterflies made painted on dry leaves. There was no particular tutorial to follow, I just saw a few photos on Pinterest featuring crafts made of forest treasures and I used what I had in stock to feature some of my fav themes: fairies and butterflies.
For acorn fairy I used acorn and white moss for the head, a small pine cone for the body and helicopter seeds for the wings. I put it all together with the hot glue.
For the butterflies I used gouache and pressed maidenhair tree leaves.
4. If you didn't guess it, the inspiration for the autumn fairy painting was one of my favorite creators @DarlingDesi the dress, the hair style the character😍
