Lighting up the sky every year, lanterns are part of a tradition that has been passed down for thousands of years. Made primarily of bamboo, each lantern carries an important story or meaning and is believed to bring good luck. Yeliang Gu comes from a family of lantern makers and started this profession when he was 8 years old. All year long, he was busy preparing for that special night.
