If you're struggling to make money with your Cricut machine, this video is
perfect for you. We're gonna go through the different scenarios that could be
holding you back from making the most money with your Cricut machine. If you're
ready to get started, let's jump into it. If you're watching this video and you're
like, yes I want to learn how to make money with my Cricut, but the Cricut's
still in the box, I want to encourage you to pause the video and take it out of
the box. That is the first step to being able to unlock your money-making
potential with your Cricut. Unfortunately, watching YouTube videos
is not gonna help you make money with your Cricut until you have taken it out
of the box. Once you take it out of the box, then you're gonna be able to start
understanding the machine, cutting material, and building your confidence,
building your relationship with the machine, so that you can start putting
yourself out there to actually sell and market yourself to be an expert and
somebody that people want to work with to buy things from. But it always starts
at taking it out of the box first step. Let's also say you're like, Tanner I've
taken the step, I've got it out of the box. Well guess what my friend, if you're
not making as many craft sales as you want, have you made your first project
that is going to be sellable? A lot of us get really caught up in like, should I
use mock-ups? If I use mock-ups it's not gonna look the same. No, we recommend
making that first project that is something you would be interested in
selling. Physically make it, not only to give yourself the confidence that you
can do this, but it also helps illustrate to the customer exactly what the project
will look like right from beginning to end. They're going to know what it is,
they're gonna know how it looks, feels, everything like that, if needed, by you
actually making the first one. You will not believe at how much better it will
be for you to sell and it'll come so much easier if you go ahead and take
that step and make it and perfect it before selling it. You may be completely
lost and you don't know which projects would actually sell or you don't know
how to get started and confidently sell. You need a community. Whether you join
Maker's Gonna Learn to get access to our commercial use license of all our art
files, where you can legally make money with your machine using our art and our
projects and our training, or you need to join Design Make Sell where we teach you
everything I know about how to sell confidently, show up in the marketplace
and really own your market. These programs are there for you and they have
communities built in. Inside Maker's Gonna Learn, we have a Facebook community
where you can get craft help ASAP every single day, 365 days a year. Inside of
Inner Circles Design Make Sell program, we have coaching calls where you get
support from myself and other coaches inside the community, as well as a chat
room where you can post questions and get real-time feedback in your business
in addition to the curriculum. You're gonna love joining these programs so
I'll have links for both of them down below. You can actually try Maker's
Gonna Learn for only a dollar, which is incredible, and you get 20 download
credits. Something we also notice is that you're not pricing your products at all
or if you are pricing your products, guess what? They're too low. Now the
reason why both of these scenarios create the same result is number one, if
someone has no idea what you're charging, they're not gonna order from you. If
you're like, oh yeah, just let me know if you want one of these, they're not going
to engage with you. But if your thought is, oh my goodness, I'm not gonna put a
price because you know I'll just I'll take whatever they'll they're feeling
like giving me, which you would not believe how many customers and clients I
work with that have that thought, they're just not gonna do anything because they
have no idea if your price is gonna be super high on market or below market,
they just don't know what they don't know, so they choose nothing. If your
price is too low, guess what? People are also not gonna want to buy from you
because they're like, whoa, this is only $10, how is she gonna actually make me a
t-shirt for the college football and it's gonna look that great, right? You
really need to make sure you're valuing yourself in the marketplace with a
quality price so that you can show up and provide a quality product. So be sure
to set your price at a decent price, fair market, don't try to undercut yourself, or
don't try to price nothing at all and expect that to help you get sales. Let's
talk about the hard topic, which is you're making things that people aren't
actually wanting to buy. You need to know how to determine if your product
that you're wanting to sell is actually in demand. Why in the world, when there's
so many people out there that need what you have to offer, would you want to be
selling items that no one's looking for, right? You need to make sure there is a
demand of customers out there in the marketplace that will want it. So here's
the secret, there's so many other items out there that you can sell really
successfully, really well, that people are dying to get their hands on. So do you
want to sell something super unique that no one else has made, that no one's
looking for, or would you like to sell something that people are dying to find
someone that can make it because everyone else is making it or something
like that, right? I think we get in our head being like, I have to be super
unique, but when that happens you take away your demand. So sometimes you don't
need to reinvent the wheel, just do what everybody's looking for the best and
that's how you would stand out. Be sure to leave us a comment and let us know
how you decide what products people are actually looking for. I would love to
have that conversation with you right down below in the comments. A lot of
times I see my customers and clients going through really elaborate projects
like the ones we have over here, whether it be a card, a really unique
item that took a lot of time, or trying to make something super delicate that is
not actually shippable, and you're spending a lot of time making these
products that are not going to equate to the amount of time that you put in. So
you're actually trying to sell projects that are not something replicatable and
being able to sell to the mass market. You really want to be careful to make
sure that you're not trying to sell really complex items that again you're
not going to be able to pay yourself for because the market just doesn't allow
for that to happen if it takes multiple hours and a lot of supplies. You want to
make sure that you are selling items that are replicatable, that's easy for
you, and that you will be able to produce at a decent hourly rate for yourself. I
really want you guys to remember that if you're not making money from this
project, from your order, then what's the point? And I hate to have that
conversation, but if you're not actually making money, maybe you want to consider
doing nonprofit work, volunteering, there's other ways to serve the
community if money isn't your driving factor. Here on the Makers Glearn channel
we want to help you make sure that this machine is profitable for you, whether as
a side hustle, to help justify your craft supplies, or make it more of a
business. Whichever one you want we fully support. Here at Makers Glearn we help
hundreds of thousands of people master their Cricut and sell like a pro. If
you're interested in learning more about how we do this, I'll link my free webinar
