A prominent Chinese car manufacturer is on the verge of surpassing all luxury carmakers
with their latest opulent vehicle.
Let's explore the reasons behind this shift and its origins.
At present, if you were to ask anyone to name the top 10 car brands globally, Rolls-Royce
would undoubtedly secure a spot within the top 6.
Rolls-Royce, the renowned British luxury automaker, has gained a reputation for its painstaking,
handcrafted approach to building cars from the ground up.
This meticulous process involving an entire team dedicated to each Rolls-Royce vehicle
extends the production timeline to more than 50 days for a single car.
However, an unexpected contender from the Chinese automotive industry is poised to dethrone
Rolls-Royce and Bentley in every aspect imaginable.
This includes design, technology, and even pricing, which will undoubtedly astonish you
as we explore further in this video.
The car in question is none other than the honky EAHS9, a luxury vehicle that seamlessly
combines engineering prowess with traditional craftsmanship.
This exceptional automobile has set its sights directly on one of the finest luxury cars
in the world, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
At first glance, it becomes evident that both the EAHS9 SUV and the Cullinan are designed
to serve the same elite clientele.
However, as we delve deeper, we'll discover the key factors that set them apart, with
one emerging as the ultimate choice.
The first remarkable advantage that the honky EAHS9 holds over the Rolls-Royce Cullinan
is its affordability.
A brand new Rolls-Royce Cullinan commands a staggering price tag of $350,000.
Astonishingly, for the cost of one Cullinan, you can acquire more than three honky EAHS9
vehicles.
Honky's introduction of the EAHS9 was a wake-up call for Rolls-Royce, making them
realize the potential loss of customers and revenue in the future.
It's not merely due to the EAHS9 SUV itself, but also because honky possesses something
very specific that was once exclusively associated with Rolls-Royce.
As the saying goes, to understand someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
This adage perfectly encapsulates the approach taken by Chinese automakers, who have embarked
on a journey to create a myriad of top-notch vehicles, ultimately dominating the electric
vehicle industry.
Among these visionary Chinese automakers stands honky.
With subtlety and precision, they meticulously scrutinized Rolls-Royce motors, aiming to
unravel the secrets behind their exceptional vehicles, and how they managed to command
a rapid sales pace, despite their hefty price tags.
Honky's ambition was to gain the upper hand in this competitive landscape, and their strategy
involved a significant move, the recruitment of the former Rolls-Royce design maestro,
Giles Taylor.
Mr. Taylor assumed the role of Global Vice President of Design and Chief Creative Officer
for the Honky Luxury brand, where he took charge of the entire design process for the
Honky EAHS9.
This strategic appointment marked a pivotal moment in Honky's quest for excellence, as
they aimed to infuse the Rolls-Royce essence into their own luxurious creations.
Giles Taylor boasts an extensive and illustrious career in the realm of super-luxury automobile
design.
His remarkable journey began in 2012 and spanned until June 2018, when he held the prestigious
position of Director of Design at Rolls-Royce.
During this pivotal period, he assumed a pivotal role in shaping the design language of the
brand's most iconic and groundbreaking vehicles.
Some noteworthy projects under his purview included the Opulent Dawn Convertible, the
revolutionary all-new Phantom, and the game-changing Cullinan SUV.
Before embarking on his journey with Rolls-Royce, Giles Taylor dedicated an impressive 13 years
to Jaguar, where he garnered invaluable experience and established himself as a trailblazing
chief designer.
Notable achievements during his tenure at Jaguar include his instrumental contributions
to the current XJ sedan and the iconic 2005 XK sports car.
So why did Giles Taylor decide to leave Rolls-Royce, despite his extensive knowledge and the substantial
amount of money he was being paid in Europe?
Well, Taylor believes that making Honky a prominent global luxury brand is unquestionably
a more challenging endeavor than maintaining Rolls-Royce's position at the pinnacle of
the industry.
I am eagerly anticipating embarking on a thrilling new career journey with F.A.W.
Honky.
Honky, as the oldest and most renowned Chinese car brand, carries a profoundly significant
and diverse cultural heritage, Taylor stated.
There are numerous sources of inspiration associated with this mark that can be harnessed
to craft innovative, contemporary vehicles for the modern era, he added.
F.A.W.
Car Company, a publicly traded entity, is the proud owner of the esteemed Chinese luxury
car brand known as Honky.
Honky, which made its debut in 1959, holds the distinction of being China's most ancient
passenger car brand.
The name Honky itself carries cultural significance, translating to red flag in Chinese.
This nomenclature derives from the brand's original purpose, which primarily catered
to high-ranking government officials.
This exclusive focus persisted until 1981, when production came to a halt, only to be
rejuvenated in the mid-1990s with a broader vision.
In the annals of Honky's history, a transformative phase commenced as the brand's emphasis
transitioned from serving the ruling class to catering to the general public.
This pivotal shift in focus was accompanied by a diversification of the model lineup embracing
a more democratic approach.
In 2013, a total of 2,534 Honky vehicles were sold to China, positioning it as the 67th
best-selling automobile brand in the country and the 41st best-selling Chinese brand.
Moving into 2014, Honky recorded sales of 2,774 vehicles, solidifying its position as
China's 72nd largest car brand.
Honky made its debut in Vietnam on February 1, 2022, offering the E-AHS9 and H9 as its
first vehicles in the market.
Following this, on April 6, 2022, the introduction of the Honky E-AHS9 under the Samlik Group
marked the brand's presence in Israel.
Looking ahead, Honky has plans to introduce the E-AHS9 in Denmark in December 2022, expanding
its global footprint and reach.
The Honky E-AHS9 sits on 21-inch to 22-inch wheels, weighs 2,600 kilograms, measures 5,209
millimeters in length, height of 1,731 millimeters, and boasts a width of 2,010 millimeters.
As you approach the front of the E-AHS9, one immediately notices its substantial grille,
reminiscent of BMW's styling, yet surpasses the latest BMW-ly large grille in design appeal.
The entire front fascia bears a striking resemblance to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, but it distinguishes
itself with a stunning waterfall-patterned grille.
Both daytime running lights are positioned at the extreme upper corners, while the side
lights sit below them.
Adding a sophisticated touch, a slender LED daytime running light strip gracefully runs
from above the headlights, extending vertically down the entire length of the grille.
The sleek, streamlined air intake at the bottom completes the vehicle's captivating visual
expression.
Much like other contemporary vehicles on the market, the E-AHS9 features flush door handles,
and the charging indicators are discreetly integrated into the side of the rear window.
In terms of side profile, the E-AHS9 exhibits a more streamlined silhouette compared to
the boxy Cullinan.
Notably, the honky's rear three-quarters draw design cues from the Audi Q8, especially
evident in its sloped T-pillar design, a striking full-width rear light bar, and an intriguingly
exposed rear diffuser.
As soon as you step inside the E-AHS9, you'll be immersed in the opulence of this full-size
SUV, featuring three impressive 16.2-inch screens.
Among these, you'll find a digital instrument cluster and a central touchscreen entertainment
display that seem to seamlessly cover the entire cabin at the honky.
The last screen, positioned at the far end, is dedicated to providing entertainment for
the front-seat passenger.
Below this, you'll discover an additional touchscreen panel for controlling temperature
settings.
Behind the gear shifter, honky has elevated the cupholder experience to a new level.
When you open these cupholders, you'll notice that they can be adjusted downward to accommodate
cups or bottles of various sizes.
Beyond these innovative cupholders lies a larger storage compartment, reminiscent of
what you might find in Mercedes' luxurious cars.
The honky E-AHS9 is equipped with six seats designed to accommodate six to seven passengers,
resulting in a total of three rows of seats.
The quilted seats are made from synthetic leather, offering a blend of luxury and practicality.
These electrically adjustable seats provide exceptional comfort and feature heating, cooling,
and massage functions for added convenience.
Whether you choose to fold down the third-row seats or not, there is ample cargo space thanks
to the generous wheelbase.
While initially it may seem challenging for taller individuals to get in, you'll soon
appreciate the spaciousness of the head and legroom, even for taller passengers.
Additionally, the panoramic sunroof effectively illuminates the cabin, enhancing visibility
and adding to the overall ambience.
Even before Rolls-Royce attempted to launch their first electric car in 2024, Honky had
introduced the E-AHS9 battery electric car with three available capacity options, 85
kWh, 99 kWh, and an impressive 120 kWh.
These varying battery capacities provide different driving ranges, offering 285 miles,
316 miles, and an astonishing 406 miles of driving range on a single charge, respectively.
The performance of the Honky E-AHS9 SUV is truly remarkable, especially considering its
substantial size.
The E-AHS9, equipped with a 76.5 kWh usable battery capacity, generates 436 horsepower.
In contrast, the 90 kWh variant boasts an impressive 551 horsepower and can accelerate
from 0 to 62 mph in just 5 seconds.
Furthermore, the latter can be rapidly charged at up to 108 kW, allowing it to reach an 80%
charge in just 35 minutes.
The vehicle has the capability to autonomously park itself and adjust its air suspension
height to achieve optimal wireless charging alignment, resulting in an impressive charging
efficiency of up to 91%.
Moreover, the Honky E-AHS9 boasts an array of advanced features.
It comes equipped with an intelligent sensor steering wheel and a total of six smart screens.
These screens enable various functions, including cutting-edge AR real-scene navigation and
remote vehicle control via a mobile phone.
This remote control encompasses tasks such as unlocking the vehicle, regulating its temperature,
utilizing smart voice commands, and locating the vehicle itself.
Furthermore, the Honky E-AHS9 incorporates the Level 3 Plus Autonomous Driving System
and supports over-the-air updates for continuous improvement and enhanced functionality.
Unlike the expensive Cullinan and Bentley Flying Spur, the Honky E-AHS9 starts at a
competitive price point of $80,000 for the base trim, while the top model is priced at
$114,000.
However, it is essential to acknowledge some drawbacks, such as the presence of plastic
materials in areas that should ideally feature iron or wood.
Nevertheless, we anticipate that the manufacturer will address these issues and provide upgrades
in the near future.
On July 6, 2022, Norway marked a significant milestone by receiving the 1,000th Honkai
Strategic BEV Smart SUV, the E-AHS9, in just six months.
Not too long ago, the Dubai police added the Honky E-AHS9 SUV to their fleet, replacing
aging Lamborghini cars.
