Delightful English Courtyard Garden || Autumn Garden Tour 🍂

Hello everyone, I'm Jeanette, the Enthusiastic Gardener, and today I'm with my wonderful great friend Edie, who you've met before, and Edie has very friendly dogs. Hello, hello, what's this one called? Freddie, Freddie, Ruby, Ruby, China, China's off shot, yeah, and who's in indoor? Cola is barking in the background. Well, you like me, don't you? We came to visit Edie's garden, I think it was last summer, and it's beautiful, and she's got so many views, so we thought we'd have a revisit. I lost a lot last winter, I did, and I had to have a change around, and some of the plants weren't really hardy, so I've really sort of like looked into things now, I've got more hardier plants, and I'm also sort of like into doing a bit of fruit growing, that I'll review about later. Oh, wonderful, wonderful, well I had plums for the first time this year, I had about seven, eight plums, and I made a plum carnival, so it was very nice. You gave me a couple of plants, Cotinus smokebush young lady, and you gave me one of your David Austin roses, or James Austin, David Austin, yeah, so I've got those, thank you very much, so shall we have a walk around? We shall. Wonderful, come on then dogs. One one today, I can feel it already, yeah, it's beautiful. Should we go to the front? Yep. Right, we're going to Dave's garden, the front, so pretty. Oh, that's his new ornament there. Where did you get that from? I went to the Kent County, oh you go there, yeah, and he found one in there, so he got that one, isn't it nice, and they do a smaller version, yeah, so go next year and get a small one, get the little one to go with it, yeah, beautiful, a bit weird and wacky, I love it, yeah, and your little deer, I remember them from before, and these, so I love things like this, yeah, on his little solar lights, oh yeah, but it cost us a fortune in plants, yeah, yeah, got those to hang in a few, wonderful, so does he just, he looks after this garden, yeah, just started, oh, in his retirement, and it takes the onus off of me, so yeah, yeah, no, I love it, I love it. Oh, what's this? Right, as I said, I've started sort of like growing a little bit of fruit, yeah, well also last, no, this year I tried growing onions, and I had an absolute bloomer of a crop, did you, really, really good, so I thought, right, I'll do it again, so I've just planted, because I think you've got a plant round about October, November, my little onions, and yeah, so we'll have a crop for sort of like next year, wonderful idea, yeah, really good idea, I remember now, you line these, that is such a good idea, just look prettier, don't they, they do, yeah, that's artificial grass, isn't it, that is such a good idea, does look prettier, that's his new plant he did over, this one, yeah, a couple of days ago, oh well done, Jamie's not here to give us his tour, he dug it out of sort of like somewhere in the border, yeah, I liked it so much that he bought a pot, and the bits and pieces, and planted it up, oh he's getting into it, isn't he, goodness, so nice, that's his, we had a hydrangea there originally, and it just grew big, and I kept cutting it back, and sort of like it wasn't so nice, so we was hunting around, and as I say, these camellias grow quite well here, so this one is cool, what colour is it, it's so pretty, the colour, volunteer, so it's like a pink, and then it looks like white, sort of like powder, all around the edges, oh wonderful, yeah, wonderful, now what is this called, I never know what these are, oh skimmias, yeah, skimmias, so I think these two are going to be red ones, and I think that's a white one, ah, is this mostly shade, this border, yeah, yeah, lovely, yeah, nice, and what have you got in here, aces, wonderful, that's a little princess, I've got a little princess, have you, yes, and this one, I mean it doesn't look much now, but it's the most beautiful, sort of like red and white, a little bit stripy, the leaves, really beautiful, lovely, that one's the prettiest, you've got peonies over here, yeah, the peonies, hibiscus, it's a white chiffon, oh yeah, look at all the buds, yeah, nice, more peonies, this is pretty, yeah, that's another, the ninebark, the angel, nice, it's just mainly for the colours, it's so pretty, this is beautiful autumn colour, isn't it, gorgeous, it looks so lovely your front garden, that's the another lilac, yeah, so easy to grow, and just, yeah, simple, so, got another one in the front, oh, and his new pot, he's getting into it, I know, I like that pot, lovely, isn't it, did he pick that pot, yeah, he's got the same taste as you then, yeah, well I think, because I could see you, yeah, I could see you picking that one, yeah, these are gorgeous, aren't they, do you know what, I struggle, the amount of times I've changed these pots, and then I really researched, and come up with these, yeah, the dark ones, which have grown beautifully, and they've stayed like that, you know, they haven't looked at it at all, and these, I think you've got them, but you've got the one with the white tips, yeah, I need to move mine, because it's in too much sunshine, and it's right up against the brick wall, so it's kind of got scorched, well, I've moved mine to different places, I've got rivet in the end, because I kept getting sort of like brownie bits, yeah, it looked so scruffy, but this is the sort of like the same version, but green, yeah, and as I say, this is really sunny, this front, and not one little brown little sort of like cone or anything, they're thriving here, oh, so pretty, yeah, lovely Edie, olive tree, yeah, lovely, and what is this, that's another, you want a mess, is it tongspire, oh yeah, I just trim the top, yeah, lovely, so that's Edie's front garden, or Dave's front garden, actually, so it's beautiful, so thank you so much Edie for showing us around, it's a lovely little tucked away area where you live, isn't it, it's really beautiful, and it's right by the big park as well, so the dogs are living in an ideal spot, so thank you everyone for watching, I'm Jeanette with Edie today, the Enthusiastic Gardener, and we will see you again next week, take care everyone, bye, bye.
