Hello my dears and welcome to a new video.
We took you with us again a little bit in everyday life.
And it starts right away.
Meriem made cinnamon rolls with her cousin.
They wanted to do it.
We did it all by ourselves.
But it was a recipe that was not to my taste.
Everyone has a different taste.
But these cinnamon rolls, the girls gave it to us afterwards,
they were extremely sweet.
Baklava is nothing against it.
I think it was an American recipe or something.
Because it was just an incredible amount of sugar.
So in the yeast dough sugar.
Then of course there is this cinnamon-sugar-butter mixture again,
which is smeared into the yeast dough.
And then on top of that this powdered sugar-fresh cheese glaze.
And there was even butter in it.
So really it was ...
I don't even know how many calories the whole thing had.
I'm sorry if my voice sounds a little weird.
But some of us are a little cold.
Yes, of course, as soon as the weather gets cooler here, it starts right away.
But Alhamdulillah, it could be worse.
It's just a slight cold and a scratch on the wrist.
In any case, I will not share the recipe with you.
I think there is much, much better.
For example, we made cinnamon rolls again yesterday.
Or Meriem, because she wanted to.
She finds them particularly delicious at the moment.
And she took a recipe from Kiki's Kitchen.
And they were delicious.
So they were still a little too sweet for me.
I would have put a little less sugar in the glaze.
But they were definitely much, much, much better.
So if you're looking for a cinnamon roll recipe, you can stop by Kiki's.
We thought the recipe was good now.
Otherwise, yes, sorry that there was no video last week.
But yes, it happens sometimes.
Sometimes everything is a bit too much for me.
I'm really hanging back with a lot of things right now.
I have so much.
Yes, that's actually always the struggle that I think every mom has.
Housework and so on.
The kids are also on a school trip next week.
Almost all.
And accordingly, we had to do a lot this week.
We have a wedding next weekend.
So the cousin of the children, the nephew of my husband, the nephew of Hikmet, is getting married.
And yes, accordingly, it was also normal to look with clothes and so on.
But you can also see that in the course of the video.
Here we have on a part of the, or the girls have on a part of the cinnamon rolls,
still a little apple compote.
So I had boiled it down last year.
Just put apple pieces in cinnamon sugar.
And I thought they were really tasty.
Because of course the apple added a little bit of the acid.
That was very, very tasty.
But otherwise, as I said, it was an incredibly huge sugar bomb.
If you know baklava, baklava is not against it.
As you have seen, we still have a lot of tomatoes.
So it's really, really nice this year.
It's also the first year that we have the tomatoes with the roof,
which my husband built this year.
Accordingly, this year's tomato harvest was even better.
And we still have a lot of tomatoes.
Of course we eat a lot.
I always pack tomatoes in many dishes when I cook.
But yes, whenever I think it's getting too much,
then I either cook something, do something,
or, as in this case, I cut the tomatoes a little small
and just put them in the freezer.
You can just do that if you need it.
If you need a bunch of tomatoes in every meal,
then put them in frozen.
And then I made new yogurt again
and wanted to take you with me here again,
because I'm doing one or two things differently.
And I also have a whole video,
so a complete recipe video,
how I make the yogurt.
I'll link it to you again in the info box.
I keep saying it again and again,
I don't know why I didn't start earlier
to make yogurt myself.
They eat so much yogurt and it's really super easy.
Everyone can do it.
And I always make a lot of, I think, 5 liters.
And that's enough for us for a week, I would say.
One and a half depends on what I use the yogurt for.
The kids also like to eat yogurt with a little muesli.
Muesli too.
And accordingly, it sometimes goes faster,
emptier and sometimes a little less.
I also want to, maybe I'll do that in the next yogurt,
also put a cup of cream in it.
Then it's a cream yogurt again.
I want to do that too.
I didn't do that.
I always make my classic yogurt
with 3.8% fattier milk.
And what I'm doing differently here now
is actually just one thing, not two.
I like to pour the yogurt into the glasses.
They are also linked.
You can also find them in my Amazon shop.
It is also always linked in the info box.
They are available in different sizes.
And then I always put the yogurt in my little mini oven.
I briefly warm it up to 50 degrees,
so that it has about the temperature of the milk.
And then it just stays there.
So it's not on or something, the oven.
It's just so that it can keep the heat a little longer.
But you can also wrap the whole thing up
somewhere warm, cover it.
Of course that works too.
It doesn't have to be in the oven now,
but I just find it very practical.
And what I'm doing differently now
is that I put the yogurt,
mine is always 6 to 8 hours in the oven.
So it always depends.
You just have to look.
If it's in a bigger pot,
then it might have to stand a little longer.
In smaller glasses it's done faster.
But you can see that too.
But the longer it just stands,
the more acid the yogurt develops.
So you can determine the acid content of the yogurt that way.
And what I'm doing differently now
is that I put the yogurt in the fridge afterwards
without a lid first.
I used to put the lid on first
and then put it in the fridge and that's it.
But what I'm doing differently now
is that the yogurt comes into the fridge without a lid.
It stays there for half a day,
sometimes even a day, because I forget.
That's not that important either.
So it's important that it just pulls through again
and cools down.
And without a lid it's even better,
because that way it becomes even more stickier.
And only then do I put the lid on.
And here you can see
how nice and sticky
and still creamy the yogurt is.
So really, I'm very, very satisfied with it.
And I'll stick to this technique now.
Yes, let's get back to the tomatoes.
I just boiled a little tomato sauce.
And that's tomato sauce al arrabbiata.
We like to eat that very, very much,
because we also have a lot of chilies in the garden.
And I let the Thermomix take over all of that.
It's just practically all pure.
Onions, garlic, fresh chili.
And then all the fresh tomatoes.
And he mixed and boiled the whole thing for me.
And then I just put it in the glasses.
I didn't boil it again either.
So I don't know, I'm really not sure.
Last time I boiled the tomato sauce again.
Some say no, that's enough.
When they are really hot,
then the vacuum also arises.
I also tested it, it was really like that.
We don't store it for years anyway.
It will be used up in a few months anyway.
That's why I think that's okay.
You are welcome to share your tips in the comments,
as always, how you do it.
Whether you boil the tomato sauce again,
or whether you just fill it up hot.
Yes, these are my routines,
that I always do something in my everyday life.
As you can see,
I still have to process something with the vegetables from the garden.
I filled up my glasses with the grains again.
I also bought a few new glasses,
which you saw in the last or penultimate video,
where I ordered the original grains again.
And now also bake the bread with it.
Now the summer is over.
It was too hot to bake bread every day.
Now I'm back in my rhythm.
Yes, currently I bake a lot of whole-grain bread.
That's why it's enough when I always bake two loaves,
then that's enough for two days.
Because you don't eat that much whole-grain bread.
That's why it's very practical.
But I definitely want to test another method,
by preparing the dough a bit,
put it in the fermentation basket,
and then leave it in the refrigerator.
And you can really leave it in the refrigerator for a few days.
And then if you want to bake bread,
you take it out of the refrigerator and bake it right away.
I wanted to try that out.
And here you can see again, a few days later,
there are new tomatoes again.
So it's really unbelievable how much comes out.
Also our rye beans.
Once a week I always make a huge pot of the green rye beans.
I freeze a part if it's too much.
I think it's perfect that we cook the dish once a week.
You've seen that a lot, that's why I didn't film it.
And this is my favorite decoration.
It just looks so beautiful when all this vegetables are there.
And I didn't film it either,
because I showed you that too.
I made menemek out of tomatoes, onions and peppers.
And then egg in it.
Oh, it's so delicious.
Then it started.
I took the girls with me.
We had to go to the tailor.
I ordered clothes for the girls.
For the wedding that is coming up next Saturday.
And of course they were all too long.
That's why we had to bring them to the tailor to shorten them.
Oh my God.
Five dresses.
Beria had another basic dress that she wanted to shorten.
These are for five dresses.
By the way, they look very crumpled there.
But the tailor will iron them too.
Fortunately.
They are really crumpled in the bag.
In any case, yes.
Just for the shortening of five dresses.
200 euros.
Unbelievable.
Then the girls wanted to take a quick look at shoes.
We just looked around a bit.
But Sarah absolutely needed new shoes.
Hers were over.
There were some that were reduced by 50%.
We just took a few more shoes with us.
And then again briefly in the bookshop.
The girls wanted to buy a few new books.
Which they can take with them on a school trip.
So that they can read a little in the evening.
But we are all there.
The whole family.
Okay, except my husband.
My husband doesn't read.
So more reading than watching TV.
And that's why each of them took a book with them.
And then there was a bubble tea.
And the next day I left with the boys.
Because Ahmed's suit doesn't fit anymore.
I actually bought the three boys' suits not too long ago.
And that's why I didn't want to get anything new for the wedding.
Because a suit is just a suit.
And that's just not cheap.
And buying everything new every time is not that easy either.
But Ahmed just grew out of it.
He is currently growing without end.
And that's why he mainly used it.
Adem was not there.
He was at the football training.
And then we looked a little bit.
What we can find there.
The boys are growing so fast right now.
And I have to say, he doesn't have anything to wear anymore.
Because everything is too small.
And they want to wear big things.
They like it when everything is oversized.
They don't like it when the t-shirts are tight and short.
They don't like that at all.
They want everything to be big and wide.
That's why I said, well, then Malik should also look a little bit.
They also share their clothes.
It's not like everyone has something individually.
They already wear things together.
Except, of course, there are things that Ahmed doesn't fit.
But Malik Musa or Adem fit for that.
Or the other way around.
And yes.
I also recommended a perfume to Adem.
And Malik Musa tried on a leather jacket.
But I personally didn't like it that much.
Did you advise him?
And the mother thinks again practically.
Leather jacket is just such a fashionable accessory, I would say.
But not really so practical.
Either an outdoor jacket that has a function with hood and rainproof.
Or a jacket that hangs warm.
He then chose this beige suit.
We also tried the whole thing once with a baby blue blouse.
But he liked the white blouse better.
We also took it a size smaller later.
You can see that it's a bit too big here.
And a brown belt.
And then we also got matching shoes.
So that everything really fits.
Of course you get hungry after shopping.
And we were briefly at our favorite sushi shop.
It's just so open in the center.
But they do it right away.
So fresh and so delicious.
And also really cheap.
Because sushi is not that cheap.
Yes, and you see.
My husband has already eaten again.
And I'm still hungry.
Yes, and you see.
My husband has harvested something from the garden again.
This time it was carrot aubergines.
That was a zucchini now.
Stem beans again.
So wow.
I'm really excited.
You don't even know how little I buy at the moment.
So on vegetables.
So it really makes a big difference.
And a lot of people also ask me if I save anything.
I never calculated it that way.
Because of course it is a lot of work time that you invest in the garden.
Which my husband definitely invests.
Nevertheless, it is also a hobby.
So it's also fun.
And it's also good to deal with it physically in the garden.
So if you don't calculate that it takes a lot of time,
you can definitely save money.
But that's not the focus we're looking at.
It's more this aspect.
If you have the opportunity,
the space,
just to plant things.
It's just without chemicals,
without something sprayed and so on.
And just harvested fresh.
So it's just a blessing to have that.
And I can recommend that to anyone who has the opportunity.
And the time of course.
Then I prepared dinner.
The kids wanted crispy chicken.
And Malik Musa said I should make chicken with this crispy panade.
So with this cornflakes panade.
I've never done that myself.
I always make classic chicken schnitzel with this classic schnitzel panade.
But I thought, okay, I'll do it.
Let's see how it goes.
That's why I had a little thicker panade here.
Out of eggs, milk, spices and flour.
And I added so much flour
until it really had a thicker consistency.
So a little bit like pancakes.
Because I wanted these cornflakes to stick better to it.
Because if I just dip it in an egg,
then I don't think they have the opportunity to stick properly.
That's why I thought I'd do it like this.
Because now everything is by eye.
I packed the chicken in there
and also covered it first.
And let them pull a little bit,
you can really do that for a few hours.
Then the whole taste of the spices draws in nicely.
Yes, and then these cornflakes.
These are the ones without sugar, without honey.
So the unsweetened ones.
These are really just these cornflakes.
Yes, cornflakes.
Without sugar.
And then I made them a little bit smaller.
I didn't do it in the mixer on purpose
because I was afraid it would be too fine.
They're supposed to be a little bit coarser.
To do this, I made potato corners out of the oven.
That's always very practical.
Just cut potatoes into such corners.
And then just do the whole thing with olive oil, salt.
And I have such a herb mixture.
That's just such a ...
Yes, it's just such a potato-corn-herb mixture.
I don't know if it's available here.
I always buy it in Poland.
So the mixture is just super delicious.
There are just a lot of herbs.
But of course you can do that with other spices
that you mix together.
But that's practical
because everything is already in there
with herbs and spices.
And it's just mixed
and then baked on the baking paper
and then in the oven.
So it's practical
and tastes good.
And please pay attention
not to the oven.
It's so hot.
I hate the oven.
It's so dirty.
I've been wanting to clean the oven for weeks
and I just can't get to it.
I still have so much on my to-do list.
And my in-laws are also coming next week.
I have so much to do.
Actually, I'm not that picky anymore.
I say, okay, everything has to be blank
when they come or something.
But yes, it's for me ...
I am ...
I don't know how to describe it to you.
But I just need this
clean and beautiful home
for me.
That's for my psyche.
When I've done everything,
my housework is done,
the apartment is clean,
then I'm mentally better off.
But when I know that
this is still waiting for me
and that is still waiting
and the laundry is still waiting,
then I get up in a bad mood.
Only we women are like that,
who really get up in the morning
and know we have this and that to do.
Men are more like that,
they concentrate on one thing
and when they have done it,
then it goes to the next.
But we women, we always have
150 things in our heads
and want to do everything at the same time.
Yes, but you see here,
the chicken is nicely fried.
And what was good about this panade
is that it didn't gain
so much fat.
I noticed that
because I didn't have to add any more fat.
And it just became
extremely crispy.
And here comes
the crunch test again.
Yes, it was definitely super delicious.
The kids loved it.
I can imagine
putting it in a burger.
A really crispy chicken burger
would also be really delicious.
That's it with the video for this week.
I hope you liked it
and we'll see each other
in the next video.
See you soon!
