Kemlu: Evakuasi WNI perlukan gencatan senjata Israel-Palestina

Direktur Perlindungan WNI Kementerian Luar Negeri Judha Nugraha, di Jakarta pada Jumat (13/10), menyampaikan bahwa evakuasi warga negara Indonesia dari Palestina dan Israel hanya bisa dilakukan, jika jalur kemanusiaan yang melibatkan dua pihak yang berperang dibuka dengan melakukan gencatan senjata. Kemlu mendata sebanyak 143 WNI masih berada di wilayah konflik Palestina-Israel, dan baru 4 orang yang bersedia dievakuasi. (ANTARA)

UN Secretary-General Yudha Nugraha said that the evacuation of Indonesian citizens from Palestine and Israel
could only be carried out if the path of humanity involving the two sides that are at war is opened with a ceasefire.
Yudha Nugraha explained to Awak Media in Jakarta on Friday, October 13,
GEMBLU noted that as many as 143 Indonesian citizens are still in the area of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,
that is, with a division of 10 UNI in Gaza, 39 people on the west coast and 94 students in Shabbir.
The government is currently focusing on evacuating 10 UNI in the Gaza Strip,
which is the main target of the Israeli military air strike.
However, the situation in the region is getting more and more difficult
because Israel is blocking electricity and water lines, even blocking access to food supplies.
Although GEMBLU has been communicating and providing travel advisory,
there are only 4 out of 133 UNI in the region,
other than Gaza, who are willing to be evacuated because they still feel safe.
The government, plus Yudha, has a number of evacuation route options,
starting from land routes to safety in Jordan or to Cairo in Egypt.
In addition, using air routes with commercial flights to the third country.
One thing we need to make sure is the safety of the evacuation route.
We can't move our UNI in the middle of a battle.
So the main evacuation process in Gaza will only be done when there is a human route.
This is what we are trying to do so that our UNI can leave the Gaza Strip safely.
On the same occasion, Foreign Minister Muhammad Iqbal said
that the human tragedy caused by the clashes between the two countries
is the main concern of Indonesia.
Indonesia conveys a very deep concern
about the escalation of conflict, escalation of violence.
Indonesia's focus is on the situation of humanity.
The more victims fall, the more we can't address the situation of humanity
unless we stop this escalation of violence first.
The Indonesian government urges that the war between Israel and Palestine should be stopped immediately
to avoid more fallen victims and destroyed property.
