The whole village gave up the fruit tree to become rich, thanks to a tree that no one expected.
Welcome to the Farmer's Billionaire channel,
a channel that focuses on true stories about farmers becoming self-made billionaires,
making money from two white hands.
Did you know that Vietnam has a lot of successful billionaires from bamboo trees?
And did you know that bamboo is a very potent plant,
from the root to the leaves,
all of which can make a farmer's dream of becoming a billionaire come true?
It sounds strange, doesn't it?
I'm sure you've heard of bamboo growing bamboo shoots, bamboo growing bamboo branches.
But it's strange that recently, people have been saying that
bamboo has made you become a billionaire.
So what is that thing that is considered to be as valuable as gold?
How does that economic model bring about high economic efficiency?
Let's find out in today's video.
Bamboo leaves?
Yes, you heard that right.
Bamboo leaves have recently become a million-dollar export product,
making many farmers rich, becoming billionaires.
According to statistics from the Vietnamese Customs Bureau,
in the first month of May,
the export of bamboo leaves reached 2.02 million USD,
an increase of nearly 1% compared to the same period.
This is also the only growth in growth in the export of bamboo leaves
to the world markets in 2021.
Ms. Trang, the head of the export bamboo leaves collection, said
the demand for the use of bamboo leaves from consumers in Taiwan is very high,
so the price of bamboo leaves is increasing every year.
Bamboo leaves are favored by consumers in Taiwan and Japan
because they are used to wrap cakes, food wrappers, or decorate meals.
Currently, the price of Vietnamese bamboo leaves is the most competitive
compared to other exporting countries, such as India and Japan.
Per kilogram of fresh leaves, I buy at a price of 10,000 to 12,000 VND per kilogram,
and then hire workers to do tasks such as weaving, drying,
sorting, pressing, and packing.
When 12 tons are enough, I export them to foreign partners.
Ms. Trang shared that
fresh export bamboo leaves are being sold at a price of 100,000 VND per kilogram,
while dried leaves are sold at a price of 40,000 VND.
On foreign e-commerce sites such as Alibaba,
Vietnamese bamboo leaves are sold in batches of 100 kilograms
at a price of 3 to 5 USD per kilogram,
at a price of 70 to 120,000 VND per kilogram,
and at a price of 7 to 10 USD per kilogram,
at a price of 230,000 VND per kilogram.
Mr. Tran Van Hai in Lang Son,
a person who has been selling bamboo leaves for many years, shared that
he and his family never thought that
bamboo leaves could be sold abroad.
Until when a newcomer bought bamboo leaves for a package of traditional cakes in Taiwan contacted me,
I learned that bamboo leaves can be sold and exported abroad.
Since then, my family has been buying bamboo leaves for sale.
When the volume is not enough, we hire more workers
and post on the Internet to buy bamboo leaves in other places
with any quantity.
However, not all bamboo leaves can be sold.
Only the leaves of the Bac Do bamboo tree,
which is often called the Buong leaf, can be sold.
Bac Do bamboo trees are very different from ordinary bamboo leaves.
They are much larger.
When bought, the fresh bamboo leaves will be sun-dried for about 2 days,
then the leaves are counted and then tied to a bamboo rod.
Then they are dried,
put in a dryer, and then divided into bundles.
When the fresh bamboo leaves are bought,
they are clearly divided into leaves.
Then each 5 leaves are tied together
between 2 bamboo rods to be hung in the oven.
Doing so will prevent the dried leaves from being closed,
having a characteristic aroma.
Bamboo leaves that are completely cleaned by natural,
non-chemical methods will be exported to Taiwan to make ingredients for cakes.
The package of food is very popular with the people of this country
due to its delicious aroma and long shelf life.
The cakes in Taiwan are often wrapped in Bac Do bamboo leaves,
similar to Vietnamese steamed cakes.
However, since it is wrapped in bamboo leaves,
the cake has a characteristic aroma.
In addition, the cakes wrapped in this type of leaf are very easy to peel,
and can be stored for a long time and do not deteriorate quickly,
such as rapeseed and banana leaves.
This is also the reason why bamboo leaves are becoming more and more expensive.
The export of bamboo leaves has brought a huge income to farmers.
No one dares to dream if they still grow other types of trees.
Ms. Trieu, a person who owns a whole farm, bought bamboo leaves to expose.
Except for the cost of labor and the money to buy ingredients,
every year she collects from 2 to 3 billion VND
because this business is never short,
and it has not been broken for a long time,
so the export is very guaranteed.
And moreover, the natural source of ingredients is not too scarce.
Currently, she is looking for a new investor
to expand the facility to help farmers in the mountains have more work to do.
What a unique and wonderful idea!
Did you know that bamboo leaves can also be sold?
Please leave a comment below for everyone to know.
Since ancient times, Vietnamese people have known how to use bamboo in everyday life,
from small items to household materials.
However, when society developed,
people were addicted to using pottery, crystal, but forgot the material of bamboo wood.
The idea of bamboo just like that goes into the trash,
but there are people who have seen the wonderful potential of bamboo,
bamboo roots, and bamboo leaves.
Those things to make rich.
In addition to the unique model of bamboo leaf business as added above,
there are still a lot of weird stories about bamboo, guys.
Mr. Thai, an entrepreneur from the bamboo field,
under the eyes of his craftsmanship,
he realized that leaving it is a waste of money
if it is made into beautiful handmade products.
So he rented a machine to the forest to chop the bamboo,
after washing, drying, processing to prevent mold,
then put it into the product, such as a tea pot, a pot, or a flower vase.
The price of the product ranges from 500,000 to 1.5 million VND on each product,
depending on the degree of craftsmanship.
And the sweet fruit he got
is the annual revenue of up to a billion VND.
As for Mr. Nguyen Van Hung,
he was surprised when he produced the product from bamboo tubes.
The craftsmanship is not too complicated
because it itself can shape the product.
Not only delicacy and skill
can produce very beautiful products
and also generate a huge income.
And in fact, compared to planting fruit trees,
planting and caring for bamboo is much simpler.
Want to be rich with agriculture,
it sounds simple, doesn't it?
Just kidding,
it's not easy to start a business, is it?
Not only do you need to work hard,
but you also need to find economic models,
plant species,
and catch up with the market.
With every success,
we will have to try a lot,
not to mention failure.
Fortunately, there are still bamboo tubes.
Those who have gone before us
share with us valuable experiences
and motivation to pursue our dreams.
What do you think about the bamboo tubes,
which are easy to plant and harvest
and earn billions of VND every year?
Please leave your comments below.
And if you know more about the benefits,
the economic value of bamboo trees,
don't hesitate to share.
