Inriktning för Murdochs medieimperium | NTD NYHETER

The media giants News Corp and Fox Corp are often considered to be right-winged organizations. This perception may change. Billionaire and media mogul Rupert Murdoch has resigned as CEO of Fox Corp and News Corp. These conglomerates own Fox News, Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Barron & Harper, and Collins for Law. Just to mention a few. They have a huge influence on media, business and politics, especially in the USA. Murdoch is currently 92 years old. After his departure, his voting rights will be transferred to his four children, Prudence, Elizabeth, James and Lachlan. Lachlan has been appointed CEO of both Fox Corp and News Corp. But his three siblings may vote him out in the future and change the direction Lachlan wants the company to take. Lachlan's political views are similar to his father's. Analyst Alice Anders believes that there will be an endless transition between Lachlan Murdoch and his father. She does not see any greater conflict potential between the siblings. This is not a family that is, you know, torn by ideological, you know, fights. You know, they are all very respectful of their father and his legacy. Prudence and Elizabeth Murdoch's political views are unknown. But James has openly told the media about his concern about climate change, and entered the Capitol on January 6. He resigned from News Corp's board in 2020 with reference to opinions on the editorial content. Murdoch's youngest children, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, have no voting rights at all.
