Lyric:
And Mar-y said:
“My soul mag-ni-fies the Lord,
My spir-it has re-joiced in God my Sav-ior.
For He has be-held the meek-ness of His hand-maid.
Be-hold, from this time on
all gen-er-a-tions will call me bless-ed,
for the Might-y One
has done to me great things.
Ho-ly is His Name.
His mer-cy ex-tends to those who fear Him,
from gen-er-a-tion to gen-er-a-tion.
He has per-formed strength with His arm;
He has scat-tered the proud in the i-mag-i-na-tion of their hearts.
He has put down the might-y from their seats,
And ex-alt-ed the low-ly.
He has filled the hun-gry with good things,
And the rich He has sent a-way emp-ty.
He has up-hold-en his ser-vant Is-ra-el.
In re-mem-brance of His mer-cy;
As the prom-ise He made to our an-ces-tors,
To A-bra-ham, and to his de-scen-dants for-ev-er.”
