The 28-year-old motorcycle stuntman from California wanted to be forever remembered as he tried to break the world record for the longest motorcycle ramp jump.

“I’m 28, and I just love dirt bikes,” Alex Harvill said as he stood in the midst of the Soap Lake Sandpits, west of town. I’ve been riding since I was 4, but before that, I would ride on the front of my dad’s bike,” he said. “My entire life, I’ve ridden dirt bikes and looked up to everyone that races dirt bikes and thought of those guys as heroes.”
Alex Harvill was born in Corona, California, on September 11, 1992. Alex Harvill expressed a deep passion for bike riding at the very young age of four, and he took part in the American AMA and Canadian Pro Motocross series. Notably, on May 12, 2012, Alex Harvill etched his name in the Guinness Book of World Records for executing the longest ramp-to-dirt motorcycle jump.
