Are you already registered?
I welcome you again to our format Colloquium Spirit.
Nice that you switched on.
I invite you to our expert talk,
today on the topic of gratitude, the formula for happiness.
And in this round or in this format,
we always like to invite experts from different
spiritual, cultural or scientific worlds.
Because we want to open doors with it,
we want to open horizons with it,
we want to open your consciousness with it,
or ideally your heart,
for the things that we cannot see,
that we may be able to feel.
And therefore invite you to implement things,
ideally, that also help you to improve your life.
In today's expert talk,
I welcome Dr. Med. Friederike Wichel,
doctor at the Swiss Mountain Clinic,
Gottfried Sumser,
a course in miracles teacher
and Stephan Mayer, consciousness teacher.
Stay tuned, it's going to be exciting
and, above all, it's going to be helpful.
Dear ones, welcome.
Friederike, Gottfried, Stephan,
nice that you are here again
and that you want to talk with me about the topic of gratitude,
the formula for happiness.
This is a very nice topic,
a topic that gives energy
and in which cases gratitude could have a positive effect.
Yes, actually everywhere,
but that's what we want to talk about now.
I would like to start with you, dear Friederike.
How do you practice gratitude?
Is it something you do every day,
or how do you deal with it?
I am lucky that I grew up with a mother
who wrote to our door at home.
Gratitude is a gift
that makes happiness complete.
And that's how we somehow grew up
with this philosophy of life,
my brother and I.
And what I often do,
not every day,
because I think I have already
integrated it into the cells,
but getting up in the morning,
saying thank you for the night,
saying thank you for the day
and the same thing again in the evening.
Because I don't have the time in my everyday life
to dive deeper into meditation.
But just this short moment
to become aware,
hey, I'm here, I'm breathing,
I'm connected to life,
I have two happy children,
I'm fine, I'm not sick.
These are the things I practice in everyday life
and I also try to live up to the patient.
Gottfried, if I may ask you,
can't gratitude even become
a part of our consciousness,
that then simply swings along at some point every day,
that we are grateful for everything,
as you say.
You don't even have the time
to meditate all day
or to do it several times,
but that you are simply grateful
for everything,
for all the cells of the body.
You have already noticed it
in the cradle or probably in the mother's milk.
Gratitude is a wonderful medicine
that heals.
A healing medicine, I would say.
And for me,
I sometimes experience it
when I have adjusted
wonderfully into the day,
into gratitude, for example,
then I am not in this,
I am in the flow of gratitude.
So everything that comes to me
comes to me in gratitude.
And every encounter is gratitude.
Then I don't see another body in you,
but I see the holy friend in you.
And I am grateful for that.
I look at the sky and I am grateful.
I look at the road and I am grateful.
I can say that I am overwhelmed
by gratitude.
And for me it works quite well
as a practical tool.
I am grateful for the creation in return.
I just say,
thank God.
And by doing this,
I make the connection to the creation.
Thank God.
With everything I am grateful for,
I make the connection.
And when I express gratitude for the creation,
then I become more and more
in my mind to this creation.
And then the whole day is filled with gratitude,
without having to be grateful for food
or anything else,
but, as I said,
I am overwhelmed by gratitude,
just like now.
Being here with you now
overwhelms me with gratitude.
And then I don't have to think about it,
but it is a state of being.
And so we are in the development
that gratitude becomes a state of being,
in which we remember
that we are one in the creation
and there is only gratitude.
Thank you.
As a consciousness teacher,
you can certainly tell us
what happens when someone,
or when you integrate gratitude
into your state of consciousness,
what ultimately happens
when you go through life like this.
Gottfried has already said,
you are a connected person.
I would say,
when people ask themselves,
okay, gratitude, how come?
You can have gratitude as a result
when you feel.
When you really manage
to get more and more out of thinking,
in contact with yourself,
in perception, in feeling.
Sometimes it is called
the heart, the heart space,
opening up,
going to things with my attention,
perceiving what is there,
whether I perceive a tree,
whether I feel a person,
whether I feel myself.
And when you are like Gottfried,
a person who can simply feel,
who is open,
then this gratitude arises.
But many can't perceive it yet
because they don't have this channel,
this level of perception yet.
So I think a very important point
is to get from thinking to feeling.
So if you really want to be grateful,
you need a little time for me
at the beginning.
Because we run through life so often,
rush,
think through a lot of things
that are going on there.
And now I would have to take a step back.
I would have to say, okay,
let's take a break,
let go of all the things that are going on,
everything I think needs to be done,
I'll leave it out for a moment.
And now I'll sit down
and perceive myself for a moment.
And then comes the next step.
If I really want to be happy,
then it's not about
getting what I want
in life,
but the other way around.
That I want what I get.
So what life brings me,
to accept it,
to connect with it.
And then, for me,
step by step, this gratitude
that at some point results in
what Gottfried describes,
that you sit there and are simply grateful.
And then you don't need
these explicit moments
where you say,
ah, I'm just getting a meal
and now I'm grateful for the one
who brought it here,
and then at some point
you would say,
it's just there, it's gratitude.
Maybe we are even gratitude.
Maybe it's also gratitude
to be equated with love,
but that doesn't matter,
because those are levels
that don't matter anymore.
So in my opinion,
it takes a little time
where I have peace,
where I come to feel
and where I look at the things
that I am grateful for.
This absolute fullness of wealth
that you have just described so beautifully.
And for me, gratitude is also
somehow primordial trust.
So I also stopped praying
or when I connect
to ask.
I thank myself
because it is there.
Because this request always
somehow arises out of fear.
Exactly, I'm missing something.
Exactly, I'm missing something
And when you turn it
into this word with a high vibration,
into this thank you,
I thank you for life,
then you are automatically
in a completely different state of consciousness.
Exactly, that's wonderful.
To be in this gratitude
is something
very, very precious.
Yes.
It is a blessing
to be in this gratitude
and to walk
the path of gratitude.
In this moment you bless everything.
I used to have the
gratitude formulation.
I mean, when my hair was still dark,
I read
the gratitude practice.
Yes, you have to be grateful
because for what you are grateful for,
more will come to you.
I thank you.
Of course, financial deficiency.
I am grateful for the money.
And nothing has changed.
We have to grow out of
the idea
of getting something.
We have to grow out of the idea
of getting something.
We are in complete peace.
We don't have to change anything.
In the being,
in the state of being,
of gratitude,
nothing has to be different.
Everything is perfect.
Every situation is perfect.
When we are there,
we don't need anything else.
We are given everything we need.
But every idea,
I need more.
And if I visualize it enough,
I will get it.
Or if I am grateful enough,
it is pushed away from me.
Because I want something
and I am not ready to accept
what is there now.
I think that's what it's all about
in most cases.
At the moment,
we are optimizing ourselves
and how we manifest our thoughts
and our consciousness.
And I think that's just ...
A huge pressure.
You can use your free will
to free up
some manifestation forces.
For some it seems
to work sometimes,
but not always.
And we can forget
what doesn't always work.
For everyone, forever.
And if it works for everyone,
then it is a helpful instrument
of creation
to remind us of creation again.
That's all.
And that's why we are here.
We are not here to
design self-optimization.
We are not here
to make more money
or to achieve more success.
We are here to
maintain a stable state of being.
Right now.
And the viewer
has the possibility
to stay right there.
You don't need time for that.
You just need the will to do it.
And that's the free will.
We can't decide ...
If we decide
whether this situation is good or bad,
then we use our free will
to perceive separation
and thus to exclude ourselves
from gratitude.
And we have a wonderful possibility here,
right now,
in this wonderful state of being.
We sink into the heart.
We radiate from the heart
this gratitude and fill the whole world with it.
And of course the world
must meet us in gratitude.
Because I receive what I give
as a law of resonance.
And then again very important
what Gottfried said.
If I am really grateful,
if I am still in the practice
that I don't expect anything in return.
That I don't expect the other person
to be grateful because I am grateful
and then possibly be disappointed.
But really unconditionally.
And you can practice that again.
To say, okay, I am grateful
that you took that away from me.
Or that you did that to me.
But not in the background
so that you stop with it and give it back to me.
So really
to look at yourself gently.
I have another note for the viewers.
If gratitude
due to this conversation
does not start immediately
and the feeling opens up,
then gratitude may
start in the head.
Because if I am still here
with my attention,
then I might say,
okay, then I am grateful
that I heard that.
Then I am grateful for this day.
I pronounce it now
in my room, in my field.
And then it always slips deeper.
And if I repeat it
and in this relaxed focus
or let's say with a light intention
to bring it deeper into the feeling,
that happens over time.
And it may take a little time.
So it doesn't always have to be
mastered after two weeks.
Please don't forget that.
This applies to every topic.
It may take a little time.
But an alignment to gratitude
is so much more valuable
than an alignment to
manifesting more.
I had an idea or a dream here.
I really wanted it.
It is not necessary.
Everything you need is given to you.
And everything you need now is already there.
I thank you for the important impulse.
Sorry.
If you are in your head,
then you just start in your head.
It's the same with an actor.
When he gets into the role,
then it's probably a matter of mind
before it gets into the flesh and blood.
And then he can play the role
very authentically.
This is certainly very helpful
for many.
And something else.
If it doesn't work right away,
if I'm grateful,
but I don't feel grateful,
then I should just take it as an indication.
Okay, then I'm not
from the bottom of my heart yet.
Or I'm not really grateful
then I can
keep working on it, right?
Exactly, and as relaxed as possible.
Because basically you could also say
it's not about being grateful
that something changes.
Yes, right.
Maximum that a perception changes in me.
What do people want?
They want to be at peace.
The first thing you want to achieve
is that there is a certain peace.
Because often there are thoughts,
there are emotions, there are worries.
If you have peace, you want a little more.
Then you also want joy
and truthfulness
and maybe ecstasy at some point.
But to get to peace first,
it helps me when I realize
that life is on my side.
And I recognize that when I feel
that everything I need is really there.
And that's where gratitude helps,
by picking out the three things
that are not there
and looking at the 23 or 97
or whatever, how many things
are there, and just say,
okay, wow, thank you, thank you.
And it's a little over.
Yes, thank you.
I think the example also fits.
If I already have gratitude
in my cells,
and I live it, I anchor it,
then I can also say thank you
to my fellow human beings.
Because that's way too rare.
And what we do every now and then
is just writing thank you cards.
A card with thank you.
And that's usually just the things
that you don't like so much
and where you can still improve
in the interaction,
especially if it's a business partner
or a colleague in the family.
But what am I actually grateful for
today on this day?
And to practice that,
that waves.
The other one also begins
to think about the gratitude
that he may also feel for you,
for your being here on this earth.
That's the perception, also for the others.
I wanted to say, maybe you can also
really be grateful for some things
that you just don't have or don't get, right?
Because at the moment we can't
yet say how it will affect you
if I have this or that.
And I always see it as
a divine addition or whatever addition.
If something I may have aspired to,
because I don't achieve it,
then maybe life has kept me from something.
Absolutely.
Sometimes I also have the feeling
that I am simply grateful
that I am breathing.
Even if it gets difficult,
in difficult situations,
if you don't know what to do,
how to proceed,
I have no idea how to solve the issue,
I have no idea how to pay the bill,
now everything is too much,
a thousand things or four things come together,
to sit down and say,
okay, I'm breathing.
Because that means,
when I breathe, I live here.
I am here and it goes on.
Because it always goes on.
You don't actually die
because a fourth bill has come.
Even if you don't know how to pay it.
You don't die of it.
There is a way.
And of course it is difficult,
but sometimes, or the more difficult it gets,
the easier you have to react to it.
And just breathe.
I thank myself for breathing.
I open up to the situation
and I let it work.
And then, very often,
without wanting it to change,
it changes in a wonderful way.
So I am grateful that I am breathing.
That is sometimes the absolute key.
And patience.
Patience is an essential factor.
That brings me to the question,
because you say,
a fourth bill has come,
I don't know how to pay it.
It would certainly be helpful
if I am also grateful
for the bad things.
What is good, what is bad.
Exactly.
But I wanted to get to the difference
between good and evil,
which we often do,
or between dark and light.
Sometimes I know it backwards.
When I have paid the bill
in different ways,
then it might show me,
what kind of life,
what kind of trust in God
has been given to me.
He has won the lottery,
he gives me 500.
I don't know that at the moment.
But somehow it comes well.
And looking back,
I remember the moment
and say,
I wouldn't have been so desperate.
Because in the end,
everything will be fine,
if I am in trust,
if I think,
hey, I am breathing,
without my defeats
I wouldn't be sitting here.
I am often asked in interviews
or wherever,
how did it come about
that you are going this way
or that you embody all this
through my defeats,
for which I am grateful today.
Not in the situation,
but in retrospect,
absolutely wow,
what a crazy gift
and what this man
seems to have deceived me.
Today I am so in peace with it
and so grateful for it,
because he has fulfilled
only one task,
for which I can be grateful today.
And I have already mentioned
the topic of patience.
And sometimes we also have to
endure being in situations
that are supposed to be horrible,
that are terrible,
where we don't really know
where a thousand problems
arise.
And just being patient,
breathing,
just stepping back,
stepping back mentally,
I don't want to be right anymore,
I don't want to define
what this situation means anymore,
because I don't know.
But if I define what this situation
means,
then I am certainly not in gratitude.
I am in my conceptual
themes,
which I have learned from the past.
Oh, this is the downfall,
and I was often standing
in front of the supposed downfall.
Meanwhile, it is just a hint,
I would like to say,
from the universe,
hey, there is something else,
remember that,
and then I can be
deeply grateful again.
I would like to ask each of you
what your most valuable tips are,
or your most valuable tip
directly for the audience at home,
in which direction
gratitude is successful
for each individual.
So to what I have already said,
maybe in addition,
in response to what Gottfried said,
not to be so reactive anymore.
Something is happening,
and then there are certain parts
in me that immediately
hook you into this story,
immediately evaluate you,
create some thoughts out of it,
and to be attentive here,
to say, there is a situation,
it is there,
and I am here.
And as if I leave a little
distance between me and this situation.
One millimeter is enough,
or maybe a little more,
the situation is there,
there is this letter,
there is this story,
but I am here and I breathe.
And then by this distance,
by the fact that parts of me
are drawn into this story,
I am then able to look first,
to feel,
and can then also gradually
come into gratitude.
Sometimes it is not yet possible in this situation,
sometimes it takes a little time,
then it takes this patience,
but otherwise really not
react too much to a situation.
And otherwise for me,
if I want to be grateful,
the absolute prerequisite
when I feel that I am in connection
with situations,
with things, with events,
with people, then gratitude
automatically arises for me.
Because when I am in connection,
information flows.
Through connection, through feeling,
I perceive much more than through thinking.
Much, much, much more.
That means,
go in connection,
feel once.
There is another step,
very briefly,
if I no longer name this situation so strongly.
If I,
it's really a short form,
maybe we still have time at some point,
then I'll explain it a little more precisely.
If I no longer know what this situation is,
so when I go out, see a tree,
then I already know, this is a tree,
it has a trunk, it has leaves,
in winter it has no leaves.
That means I already know everything about this situation
and can no longer perceive anything new.
If I sit down and forget
what I know about this thing,
then these thoughts come, it has leaves,
I forget leaves, it has branches, I forget too.
I forget the color, I forget that it means trunk,
I forget that it means roots,
I forget everything I know about it
and then I look.
Then I don't have this word,
the word tree and so on anymore, I look
and recognize something completely new.
And so I can do that with every situation.
I detach myself from the situation,
I forget for a moment what I already know about it,
go in connection
and then very quickly something different
than before arises.
Thank you.
Frieda Dicke, maybe we'll continue with you.
Yes, I think it can't be said
more beautifully than you described it.
For me it is simply important that people learn,
as I said at the beginning,
to practice gratitude for every new day.
I think it's very, very easy,
just to be grateful for waking up in the morning,
to be grateful
for a restful sleep in the evening
and also
to practice self-confidence
that everything that happens
should be just like that.
And this sentence,
I am love, I am light,
heaven accompanies me,
you can just keep an eye on it,
think about it,
it can guide me through the day
and then I know everything happens
as it should happen,
in gratitude and fullness.
Thank you. Gottfried?
Yes, as I mentioned at the beginning,
I would like to add
a little something else,
namely, it needs discipline.
In order to contribute to change,
I need discipline,
and I mean spiritual discipline.
I know that discipline,
the word for some people
may be terrible,
but we really need a spiritual discipline.
And so I invite the participant,
what you just said,
behind the tree
you see the light.
If I take away all the ideas
of what the tree is,
then suddenly,
but we can't think of it conceptually,
and also not theoretically,
yes, there is the light,
but we have to go into the experience.
And through practice we get into the experience,
through discipline we get into the experience.
Three times five minutes,
that's the invitation.
I wake up in the morning
and I am grateful to creation.
I thank the light,
I thank the creation,
thank you, thank you, thank you.
And I go deeper and deeper
into this feeling of gratitude.
And when I am filled with this gratitude,
then I have a whole body experience
of gratitude,
and we can do that in the afternoon.
And when we fall asleep,
when we go to bed,
we go back into this feeling,
and not into the thinking of gratitude,
but into the feeling of gratitude.
And then this gratitude
accompanies the whole night.
And how do we wake up in the morning?
With gratitude.
What we are grateful for,
we invite more and more into our lives.
Exactly.
Thank you very much,
dear ones,
that you made a contribution
to this valuable topic.
And I would wish
that it would
draw big circles
and would continue to do school.
Ideally, we learn it
or our children at school.
You are people
who pass on
this consciousness
and may it spread.
And also to you at home
I say a very warm thank you
that you have opened yourself
for life, gratitude.
And we wish you
that in abundance
all that you are grateful for
may become a blessing for you.
We look forward to
seeing you again
next time.
We wish you
all the best.
Stay loving, stay attentive
and see you next time.
Goodbye.
