Welcome to the Radio Video Magazine, a new video from us.
We are here at the Japa Expo Europe 2023 in Vienna at the exhibition stand of Huss Park Attractions.
And I'm sitting here with Lars Hartmann.
And we're going to tell you a little bit about what you may have already heard and a little bit more.
But maybe you introduce yourself again briefly and also Huss Park Attractions,
because the name is a bit different from what one or the other may already know.
My name is Lars Hartmann. I have been working at Huss since 2019,
mainly in sales and for the further development of our rides.
Huss is a company in Bremen that has been producing rides on the market for over 50 years,
starting with the show business and later, from the 2000s, mainly park systems.
The brand Huss is already well over 100 years old and also located in the Bremen area.
Very nice.
Development of rides is, I think, the best keyword.
There are the five new big things and I thought we'd go through them briefly,
because I've already presented them here in a video.
If you haven't seen it, I'll link it to you up here.
But what has changed in particular now?
Because there were a few comments like, yes, you already know that,
but I think a little something has happened.
And we can start with the booster from my point of view,
because we'll pick up the highlight at the end.
You can already see something in the background.
Exactly.
So the idea was simply that Huss said,
we want to rework and expand our portfolio again.
And we see what requests come in and whether we have them actively in the program or not.
We also ask for systems.
Huss has developed over 65 different models that we no longer have actively,
which we then also get back.
And these five Signature Rides are actually only meant to expand the portfolio for the time being.
And the booster was one of them, for example, where we said,
we put an additional cross on the plate.
We build more compact.
The people fly much closer to each other.
We pack another 30% speed on it.
We pack another 30% power on it.
This means that much more dynamic changes of driving are possible.
It can also go forwards and backwards again.
We have now replaced this massive shoulder strap with light stomach pads.
And the whole design is of course also available for the park and for the trip.
The exciting thing about the booster is simply that it is another increase to the Brakedance,
which everyone knows, because the booster simply drives these crossovers again.
You also have the other rides.
We would now come up with two that are also known, but are now also being re-launched.
What are the special features then?
So there we have, for example, the Troika in the second generation.
2G always means second generation for us.
And also the Magic 2G.
Mainly there we turned to the gondolas.
We have more space, we have single-seat locking,
we have refined the whole machine, the steel construction,
and of course we have also packed a lot of speed and power in the train.
We have seen that the machine of today's time,
you can also see with the Troika, it is no longer such a big spider,
but we have adapted the steel construction to the airboat,
that all the systems are in time,
and that they also do what many have said,
if there was a little more, a little more dynamics, a little more speed,
we have seen that the two systems have also got that.
Then there is also the new Spinning Cruiser.
How would Huss describe it?
Exactly, the Spinning Cruiser is actually a bigger breakdance.
Instead of 40 people capacity, we have 48 people capacity,
because we have four gondolas.
And the idea behind it, and the simulation has shown,
is simply that the driving behavior is completely different.
With the breakdance we have rather very fast, rapid spins,
while with the Spinning Cruiser it is really a cruising experience,
as if you were driving in the car, on a snow-covered surface,
and suddenly you pull the handbrake,
if you have accelerated nicely again, and then it is such a long spin.
So it's really about this driving experience,
fast direction change, fast change of direction,
and then these long spins.
That's the idea behind the Spinning Cruiser.
A really great family business,
where you can also sit in the gondola as a four.
Breakdance 5.
It's been announced for a long time,
now it's almost there,
not as long as it is in the comments.
It's only been a year, right?
Barcelona.
That was 21, exactly.
Oh, I don't remember that for that long.
Okay, then you're right.
We've already talked a little bit about it.
What are the special features of Breakdance 5,
what makes it very different from its predecessors?
Breakdance 5 is actually, as I said,
we have five gondola cruises.
We have a total of 20 gondolas,
40 people have space.
In terms of the footprint,
the wheel disc diameter,
Breakdance 1 was about 15.4 meters.
Breakdance 5 is only 16.5 meters.
So we have just under a meter more in diameter,
but we have a complete gondola cruise.
That means we have everything
pushed together much more compactly,
which was only possible
because we adapted the gondola shape.
The people are now sitting in the gondola in a completely different way.
They have more space and comfort.
The experience we have
is that the gondolas
race much closer to each other,
much closer to each other.
There is much more dynamic
in the whole event.
We have also put a lot of speed on it there.
We are now driving 15 revolutions
from the main rotor
and 30 from the cruisers
compared to the spring 14 and 28.
That means a larger rotor, more revolutions,
of course, also means a higher speed
for the passenger himself
and thus also a more dynamic change of driving.
In addition, the gondola has
single-seat locking.
We can make on-board sound,
the whole thing really nice immersive
and even what we call motion sound.
That means when the gondola tears around,
then the gondola has a special motion sound again.
The feeling is properly improved again.
The gyros are now flat, the gondola cruises.
We have everything under the window installed.
That means the plate is
much more tidy and everything
that is on the plate except the center stage,
that moves.
Center stage is a good keyword.
That is one of the special points,
that you can put the operator
and alternatively something else
in the middle.
I have often read the question
whether there must always be an operator in the middle
or whether you can always place it
in the back as early as possible.
How did you solve that?
What possibilities are there?
We have very different possibilities.
First of all, with us at HUST,
you can adjust everything individually.
The operator now,
let's talk about the Wiener Anlage,
it is now generally known
that the first Breakdance 5
comes to the Prater.
Then it will actually be
that we have the operator in the middle.
The OP2, we call it, is in the middle.
And we have the OP1, the operator,
then again on an outside position.
That means if a live DJ
makes the right mood at the weekend,
makes announcements, recommends,
has a microphone, then the operator
sits in the back left of the building
in the back wall and can
operate the business normally.
At will, also from the front,
middle, back, wherever,
everything is possible with us.
So from the front means,
like with the flipper,
that he really sits down in the box
and then operates there.
Theoretically, for me,
he also has a better overview
than if he sits in the corner at the top, right?
Yes, we have mobile systems in the area.
Because actually,
sitting in the front of the box
is more in the mobile area,
what the showman is interested in.
And that's why we said
there is also the possibility.
I have also read a lot of comments
asking if Breakdance will be built mobile again.
Yes, he's coming.
We don't say more about it yet.
We don't say who, when or where.
But he will also go on the journey
again in Germany.
More dynamic than ever.
We are really looking forward to it.
I think that should convince
the last one
that there is more to come
than is expected of you.
Did we forget anything?
Design-wise.
I've seen a lot of comments
about the design.
It's very futuristic.
It fits wonderfully into the concept
that we have developed here in Prater.
But especially for the journey
we now have HUS Creative as design department.
That means we can do everything.
Every wish can be fulfilled.
Every theming can be implemented.
And of course Kirmes is different than in the park.
And we are very open to suggestions.
We have already heard the wildest ideas.
And we are also looking forward
to implementing the in-house
and discussing it with the customers.
And there will be great systems.
Thank you very much.
You can be curious.
There will be more.
It will be in the context of another video.
Stay tuned.
It will be exciting.
A lot will happen with HUS.
HUS was never dead.
And now lives more than ever.
It's not phoenix out of the ashes.
We were quiet.
The last 20 years
we have been very quiet.
Very shy.
There has always been a lot of sales.
We are still the old people.
The employees who used to work at HUS
are still working at HUS Park Attractions.
We are in the same building.
The name has only changed a little.
But this rumor is no longer the HUS of the past.
That's a bit of a shame.
We have employees who have been
with us for 25 years.
They have also set up the shops on Kirmes
as a prototype.
And HUS is HUS.
It was always there.
And there will be even bigger.
I think that's enough for you.
You have already seen Gondel.
Subscribe to not miss anything.
We're out. You are the coolest.
