Hello and welcome to our format Naturmedizin.
Nice to have you back.
I have a wonderful interlocutor with me today.
Alexandra Kothaus is with me.
She is the head physician of the BioMed Center in Sonnenberg.
Today we want to talk about chronic suffering.
There is a large variety of chronic diseases
and often classical medicine is left empty-handed.
How can I make a shift
to get out of chronic suffering?
But there are also solutions for that.
There are solutions for everything.
You just have to find them.
Let's see with Alexandra Kothaus
where we can find a solution for chronic suffering.
Stay tuned. It's going to be exciting, as always.
Dear Alexandra, welcome.
Nice to have you here.
Thank you, Alexandra.
Today we are talking about chronic suffering.
You are a specialist in general medicine,
psychiatry and psychotherapy.
In your early career as a specialist
or general practitioner,
you probably faced the question
how to deal with chronic diseases, right?
No.
No?
No.
The problem was not that I asked myself that question,
because I wanted to go into alternative medicine
even before my studies.
Very good.
But the patients asked me that question.
As a general practitioner,
you don't have a lot of empathy
if they don't want something about their lifestyle.
Or maybe you have to invest a little in your health.
But if you only take what the money pays for,
you have to say at some point,
we are at the end of the rope.
Yes, there has to be something.
There has to be something.
I had the discussion with some patients.
Yes, they might have to do something about their diet.
I knew that one lady is only for low-fat meals.
Do they have to cook a little for themselves?
Or change something?
That's one thing.
Now back to your question.
I already had ideas.
Actually, I was torn apart
because I couldn't implement them.
When I did house visits
in nursing homes, nursing homes,
and nursing homes for the disabled,
it hurt my soul
how little I was allowed to do,
what I could do,
because my hands were tied.
But I had ideas
that I could have implemented.
In many cases, it just fails,
as you have already indicated,
because of the often financiability
of possible means.
But I think there are always
some possibilities
to cook according to your lifestyle.
There are always arguments
that it is very expensive
to eat healthy.
It is expensive.
For many people, it would be a redistribution.
Or at least to get to a better level
with a redistribution of money.
And a little about the lifestyle.
Anyone could change if they wanted to.
Let's say,
maybe the worst fatigue syndromes
are out of the question.
But there I have possibilities,
if at least the will is there,
to start very carefully
and to pile up deeply.
But a little will and insight
make sense
if you want to get rid of your suffering.
Or I said,
I want to do a show
called Meditation Medicine.
Because our medicine
is actually a meditation medicine.
It needs a certain self-effort
to get healthy.
And there are sometimes patients
where I have to say,
well, let's take
the prostate as an example.
We can replace thamsolazine,
this typical agent
in enlarged prostates,
if you can't wink as well anymore,
with prostaplanin,
a plant.
That's something that works
reasonably well,
but from our point of view
is not a cause treatment.
And where we say,
who comes to us with the intention,
we are a little different.
So when they come to us,
we assume they really want to get healthy.
And that means
there are many things.
Now I also had the days with patients
where I said,
they saw,
that was a cancer course,
they noticed,
that it can take a lot of self-influence.
Over the years,
it's not a very fast-growing cancer.
They noticed,
when they exercise more,
when they adjust their diet,
that they are actually shrunk
or have grown.
And that you just learn
to give the patient
his self-efficacy back.
And that's how it goes with other things as well.
Many chronic diseases
can be influenced by the patient himself.
But when this knowledge
is concealed
or infiltrated,
no, they can't do much
with their diet.
It's an autoimmune disease.
Then, how should I say this,
I disempower the patient.
To the extent that I dismiss the patient.
And that's also something
that is becoming more and more common,
that patients are being
oppressed and threatened
with horrible,
devilish wallpainting
and horror scenarios.
If they don't take the immunosuppressant,
then this will happen to them
and then they will be crippled
in three years.
But I don't think that's
medical ethics.
You can't talk to another person
just because you don't have
the solution yourself.
But the patient is no longer
respected as an independent
person.
What does the patient want?
It's also about
self-responsibility
that the patient
wants to bring along.
How is it with your clientele?
Is it generally there that the patient
also feels self-responsible?
Well, I'd say, if you make it
to us, it's usually there.
It wasn't particularly difficult for me
when I was working in school medicine
and as a GP.
I'm actually very
used to our patients.
And there are really
many who are,
maybe I have to say,
not always motivated
for the right reasons
to get rid of their
school medical medication.
So we have, so to speak,
the other extreme as patients.
They just don't want
any school medical medicine
in principle.
And maybe that's
not always the right way.
Or sometimes I say, well,
sometimes school medical medicine
can be the bridge.
And we do the cause treatment
in the meantime.
Sometimes you need such a medicine
and sometimes you don't.
Of course, we are always happy
when it works without it.
But if certain...
For example, we are good
at getting chronic pain
but if someone
has acute pain
that may not be at a certain point
because the disc presses,
where we do neural therapy
or the neural therapy
reduces but is not enough
alone, then we have
a few other options.
But if they don't work,
then school medical
medication helps
faster.
Yes, I'm glad
that you say that
because I also think
that the best of all areas
in the individual case
what is necessary
can be a great
combination.
And it's good
or I hope
that many people
open up to these options
and move away
from their extreme attitude.
Because sometimes
it's the easier way
or the only
possible way to combine
the two things, right?
If you have already
achieved a corresponding
progress.
Or a degeneration,
let's say.
With classical medicine...
No, no.
Thanks again for the template.
No, it's not like that.
And that's
something I encounter from time to time.
Well, then the knee is
broken, for example.
And I'm just taking
a joint as an example.
Because
then people think
it's broken and you can't do anything anymore.
Then maybe I can
with natural means
achieve a pain reduction.
And that's it.
But then we misunderstand
the body. The body
is not a car. The body
is not a machine. If something is
worn out in the car, it is worn out.
Then it has to be replaced.
But in our
body, even in such a knee,
there are so
many small,
living cells.
Yes, even a bone
is not just something
like a rod.
There are cells in there.
Bone building cells and bone
removal cells.
At least.
That means it lives.
Everything in us lives.
And everything in us is networked.
And that means, if I do it right,
I have a
not to be underestimated
regeneration potential.
Because it lives in our
knee. And it works.
And now I have to treat the knee
and everything that's in there
with different possibilities.
And I also have to detoxify.
Because the body is totally
intelligent. And if it somehow has the
possibility not to discharge the toxins
in the place where they
acutely endanger our life,
then it takes something like a joint.
It's not that important
to survive.
Then I have to detoxify.
And then
I might give substances
so that the regeneration goes faster.
Then I might work with things like local
hypothermia. Or neural therapy.
Or who can acupuncture.
And I can also do a lot
move and stimulate.
Or if I'm very fussy, I look
with what the knee is linked.
Yes, with which other parts of the body
there are still
blockages, interference fields,
healing obstacles that also affect the healing
in the knee. Because it's not just
a knee. It's a part
of a whole.
Ultimately, you can also do something
like injecting PAP there.
To promote regeneration.
And
then you can also
not only delay a knee surgery,
but also get around it in some cases.
Even if I reduce the willingness to
inflammation in the body.
So there are a lot of
approaches. But we must not
look at it mechanically.
We must not look at our body
as a car. That's so important.
Very good example.
Thank you very much at this point.
I didn't mean it that extreme.
But that doesn't matter.
It came to a valuable
... The question led
to a very valuable example.
And to a very valuable comparison,
I think. That's what I think.
I always believe.
There is a certain point
where school medicine has to go in.
We still have patients who don't want it
stubbornly. And then you have to look
for a solution.
Or therapies
escalate.
Magnetic field or hypothermia.
We have, thank God,
possibilities
to intervene.
I just wanted to say
there are those who want
do it for me.
I don't want anything
school medicine, poisonous stuff
in the body.
It's the same with many people.
Certainly there are things in the pill
that shouldn't be in there
outside of the active ingredient, like
titanium dioxide, which just makes the pill
nice and white.
Then it just looks a little healthier.
I like to say again and again
we are from the front to the back
at the nose.
Sure, we don't really want that
in our body.
But sometimes there are
acute situations
where you just have to say it helps.
And that's not the goal
and the plan, that you take it in
in the long run.
Things with chronic pain syndrome
or chronic neuropathic pain
we get a pretty good kick in the door.
But also with other chronic
diseases.
Chronic disease
is just a disturbed environment.
I have
in the body
a relationship
with people who have chronic diseases
or inflammatory processes
that don't end.
For example, if someone
gets injured on the shoulder.
The shoulder is just very common.
I have a lot of adhesions,
that you get injured, especially in a country
that has mountains,
so ski accidents.
The other thing is
that shoulder problems
in general are just not rare.
And that the shoulders
that didn't have the potential
to have chronic problems
don't heal completely.
Then it's worth looking at
what is the cause of the engine behind it.
Is it a chronic acid reflux?
Or is it
a blocked liver
that plays ping pong with the shoulder
and doesn't let it heal completely.
Because it's also on the meridian.
For example, if I do it with the knee
I can also look further into the body.
What else is going on there?
For example, for a while
I treated the knee pain of my mother
with neural therapy
on the almonds in her mouth.
We did a few other things,
but I interrupted the pain
with her acutely.
Just as an example.
It's not the first choice,
but to think more systemically.
And if something after a trauma
or a physical trauma
that wasn't that bad
ends up causing problems again and again
then the dog is usually buried somewhere else.
Then you are overacidified.
Then you may have too many heavy metals
or other toxins in you.
Or chronic viral infections.
Stress.
Stomach. Liver.
These are things you should look at.
Because this combination
also prepares the environment
for various chronic diseases.
It doesn't really matter
in which direction I'm going.
If these things I just listed
are disturbed,
then it can lead to
autoimmune diseases
according to individual constitution.
It can lead to arthrosis.
Sometimes it can also lead
to depression.
The spectrum is very wide.
Some people also think
we have more chronic diseases
because we all get older.
And that diseases occur
also affects younger people.
At the moment I also observe
something very bad.
I find that more and more mothers
of relatively small children
get cancer.
Because they also
get children later.
And then you almost have to say
and I advise women
to get young children.
Poison yourself well beforehand.
But the late birth
is at the moment
when the woman gets
breast cancer at the age of 40
and the child is still only 4 years old.
That's tragic.
It is becoming more and more often
that I know such combinations
where the mother gets cancer
between the ages of 40 and 50
but the children are not yet grown up.
I actually also have this
in my acquaintance.
She died two years ago.
And that is not normal.
This amount of cancer
is not normal.
This amount of cardiovascular
disease is not normal.
This amount of lung disease
is not normal.
And we have made
an increase in breast cancer.
Not just because more women
live in the world,
but the last 30 years
there is a serious increase
and at the same time
there is an increasing infertility
and more and more children's clinics.
You have to get a grip.
Even gynecologists have to get a grip.
And if I get a child
in an unnatural way,
it can also have side effects.
Then I can also cause cancer
in the mother
as long as the children are not grown up.
Or the child has a higher risk
of suddenly dying a child's death
or for birth complications
if I do it the school-medical way
As you can see,
the topic is big.
In your opinion,
what is the main cause
of all these chronic diseases?
In the broadest sense,
I tend to say
our non-genetic way of life.
Non-genetic in the sense of
air pollution,
food pollution,
I don't know
what to call it.
The kind of stress
that we have,
how we are put under pressure,
how we live
in a totally doped society
that is addicted to coffee
or even worse
are these energy drinks
that many people
and young people
drink and kick themselves
and hold over water.
And what is in our food
that is not declared
is technical aids,
pesticides,
xenoestrogens,
air and fine dust.
If that is not even
getting heavier than
the diet.
We also have the
field of radiation.
So we already have
diverse sources.
Because the world is
growing together
through flights,
and across the continent
we also have a
smuggling of germs
that we were not used to in the past.
And because you don't
marry the first one anymore,
you have just tried more
and if it's just
a little bit,
I think in English
it's called
kissing disease.
We also have a much higher
germ infection with
the head than it used to be.
And some of the germs
they don't come and go,
but they come and stay.
With the herpes you know
when you get lip blisters here,
you had stress or too much sun
radiation or just a cold
and then it goes away again.
And the one who has that
knows, shit, if I get it back,
it comes back.
But that also means that you know
the virus is not out of the body.
So he lives somewhere in the distance
and he's not dead either.
And he's waiting for the next chance to grow.
And the death of the
Elbstein-Barr virus, for example,
too, but we don't notice it.
It's not as obvious as
the lip blister.
So chronically viral infections
play an increasing role and are
often underestimated.
Why?
One thing is what I just said,
kissing, exchange of bodily fluids.
But they also find
an environment, the germs,
in which they can grow.
And the more toxins we have,
the worse our immune system works.
So there's a lot
that comes together.
Then of course it's about detoxification,
about doing something against the viruses,
about building up the immune system.
Because apart from the fact
that our way of life is also
a frontal attack on
our microbiome.
Well, there's a study
that says, hey, they just
examined 5G and they say, hey,
it lets the E. coli overwinter.
We don't have to worry about that.
If 5G goes through concrete walls,
reaches the basement, then it also goes through
our bodies.
So there too,
that also plays a role.
Yes, it is then always
so negated,
I say now from the economy.
Yes, they know
that we are getting behind it
and are now developing new tricks
how they describe things and toxins.
So the idea was already
that most people become more attentive
and more sensitive to these issues,
also in the mass.
So now they do
instead of BPA, it is well known
that it is a softener in plastic,
now write BPA-free on the bottles
and for that they have BPF
or BPS,
so that it is the same in green.
BPA in salt are now also
among other names.
And there is no aluminum in the deo,
but they put something else in it.
But you don't know that yet,
then we can lead people a little further
behind the light.
So detoxification is a big keyword
now in connection?
Yes, detoxify, detoxify, detoxify.
For me anyway, the answer to everything
is 42, if you still know the book.
But maybe
to make it a little bit rounder
with the non-genetic way of life
movement is also part of it
and seeing daylight.
Seeing daylight, I say in the
internal education with us, well,
we don't work genetically either,
and then our bio-med center looks at me
with big eyes, how can you say that?
We work here
organic and great.
People, hey, we always have a blanket on our heads.
I'm a doctor, what do I have?
I actually have an office job.
I don't go out anymore
and collect the herbs myself
for my patients.
That would be cool.
That would be a real doctor.
And then to prepare and prepare it myself.
I would also enjoy it.
But then I will probably
the bio-med center, or if we all doctors
can't talk like that.
Who would do that?
But that's part of it.
The sunlight, that would be real sunlight.
And then it's not just about vitamin D.
50% of the sunlight
is infrared.
And who knows me a little bit,
I love infrared
for therapy purposes,
in all variants.
So it's just all multi-layered.
And that's why
that also plays a role
when I say, we no longer live
species-appropriate.
And movement means then,
at least that's how I understood it,
not necessarily to go to the fitness center,
so from the office to the fitness center
It's better than nothing.
In the wild.
In the wild, of course, it's always better.
And what is also important,
no rigid movements.
Not go to such a device that always
only does this or that, but
sports.
Actually, you would have to do different things.
That you say, a part is cardio
and a part is fasting training.
So of course my favorite
is also yoga.
But there are also other things
that are good for all joints
and fascia to move through again.
For one, there is
Qigong and
Circle of Folds.
But everyone can do that for themselves.
Every joint once
in the morning and in the evening, maybe move
as it is intended.
By then
with the shoulders.
And also
not with violence,
from head to foot
move everything through.
Then the fascia comes in.
Then the cardio training comes in.
Then the muscle build-up comes in.
And then you can say,
hey, who has fun, maybe does
a team sport or a ball sport,
where I don't just do
regulated, clear movements, but
where I also promote my brain
and my overall motor skills
and my reflexes.
So you could say, hey, you do
yoga and handball
or something like that.
It may be varied.
But it doesn't have to be exaggerated.
At the moment it's
almost a fitness warning.
And above all, what you have now
listed, just the joints
to move through one by one, it all costs
nothing, except a little time.
No, you can do that.
I really like a flexibar
that I often recommend.
I have that too.
And if someone can't do anything
or has a broken knee and
I can't go for a walk,
then I say, start with
the flexibar. Five minutes also help.
And you have the heart in there,
because the heart and lungs are shaken.
And I have the muscle build-up in there.
And mitochondria are bred.
And I have the lymphatic drainage in there.
But I also say to the patient,
I can't stack deeper.
You have to do that yourself.
Yes.
And pay attention to what you buy,
what you eat, and so on.
Absolutely. My favorite topic.
Yes, it's a
whole package.
You can start at many, many points.
Are there chronic diseases
where you basically say, it's rather difficult
when it's there.
Is there actually little way back?
No, it's not
disease-dependent.
It depends more on
how advanced the disease is,
how poorly it regulates.
But that you can say now,
no, the whole thing is too
individual, I would say.
And because we just say we treat causes
and somewhere there are only limited
causes for all
diseases, actually.
And also something like, I'll tell you
now, for example, a side kidney weakness.
Actually, we are already
on the symptom level
and no longer on the cause level.
Just as an example.
Yes, I could still have this or that
or the borreliosis and the candida.
In my opinion, we are already
on the symptom level.
And the cause level
is still below that.
And that's
our strength.
That's what we do at the Biomed Center.
Yes, very good.
If we now have affected
viewers, where
can they find you?
We are at the Biomed Center Sonnenberg
in the beautiful Schwilbrunn in the Appenzellerland.
And we have a team
of several doctors
and
we have nursing staff and
therapists and we can
dig pretty deep into the trick box,
what we can offer.
And our homepage is biomed-sonnenberg.com
Super.
That's all the most important.
Then you know,
I don't want to suffer.
I ask, turn to it
and bring a certain
degree of self-responsibility
with me, ideally.
And willingness to change.
Because
especially with a chronic disease,
if I keep everything as it is now,
what should be better?
If this has already led me
to this situation.
Thank you very much for this
wonderful conversation.
And for the hope
that there is also a solution to chronic suffering.
Thank you.
Thank you very much for being here.
And yes, you see, there are
ways for everything.
No, that's something else.
There is a solution
for everything,
if you just want to.
And yes, you can also take
small things into your hands
that don't cost anything
and that you just have to do.
Maybe you took a little something
from our conversation.
That would make me very happy.
And I would also be happy if you
turn on again next time.
Stay attentive, watchful
and above all, please be loving
to yourself and your body.
See you next time.
Goodbye.
