Welcome to the Ride Review Magazine and a new video on my part.
We are here in Vienna, Austria at the JAPA Expo Europe
and are at the exhibition stand of R.A.S. Ride Engineers Switzerland.
And there is something new to see, which will soon come to a theme park.
And what that is and what else happened recently, you will see now in this video.
Yes, my name is Dirk Grundsheimer. I am a representative of R.A.S. Ride Engineers Switzerland,
a nice company from Switzerland. We develop, build, design rides for children,
for adults, for thrill-madmen. Yes, and I am happy that you are visiting us here at the stand.
What is new with you? Or shall we start with what you have done recently
and what you may have won? Oh, good that you are talking to me about it, yes.
We won an award yesterday, the Kirmes Park Award 2023 for the best Family Attraction 2023.
We are very proud of that. We got that together with Connyland.
There we did the Crazy Professor. That is a dark ride with a tip tower,
where families watch a video next to the ride, a film, a story is told.
And that makes it all so round and I think that is the background why we won this award.
And we are also very proud of it, yes, exactly. Very nice. Above all, it is the first place, right?
That was the first place and I think, if I'm not mistaken, it is also the first place
that we have won for a ride. And we have been on the market for seven years now
and we are all always fighting for the prizes, because that makes you proud
when the Kirmes awards something like that. Congratulations on that.
Thank you very much. You already have something in your hand.
I think there is also something new from you that doesn't exist yet.
Yes, that is our wave twist. It is a bit like a contiki boat from the basic concept,
but because we build the rail into a wave, maybe if you see that later in the video,
we get a very dynamic ride. But it is also for children to adults again.
The nice thing about the Wave Twist L is that it is very compact. You can put it in a corner of a theme park.
You can even go underneath. That is also clarified so far with the TÜV.
With that, especially for medium-sized and big-sized parks, which sometimes also have space problems,
you have the possibility to put a nice ride there.
The nice thing about this ride is that the gondola that you have there moves once on the rail,
then the gondola moves in itself and then the seats move again.
Our customer, for whom we will now build this and open it in 2025,
has seats that sit outwards and seats that sit inwards.
Again, very interesting. We'll see how that goes for the customers.
We are very convinced of the ride, have a lot of requests and also a number of orders just before signing.
That's very nice. When you say that you have so many axles that you turn over and so on,
there are many people who say in general,
I'm not getting any worse, I'm not getting any worse. Did you come up with something?
When all movements are mechanically generated, there are people who get worse.
But if some movements happen due to gravity, and with us, for example, when the car goes up,
it moves by weight and by its own gravity, fewer people get worse.
And that was the idea behind it. If you look at the video of the ride, you can see that it looks very, very fast.
But we are very convinced that it will be a lot of fun for all children from 95 cm to 1.5 meters tall and it won't be bad for them.
It is again a ride that looks very thrilling from the outside and when you look at it, it has a very nice ride.
I can tell you that the Oracle is in development. We sold it and it will go on a trip in 2025.
In short, that's what you usually had as a model here at the booth, right?
Exactly. We sold the Oracle. It is now in development. It will be a really cool ride.
Because when you suddenly go into development from the concept and realize, oh, it won't be that massive,
but simply much more filigree. So we are totally happy at the moment.
Also our customer, who dared to take the step, is very happy to do this with us.
And yes, I can only say to everyone, be excited, it will be a mega thing.
He's up there again. I can tell you that. And we always have things in the pipeline.
But then I would have to talk to the boss about what I can continue to reveal, otherwise I'll get in trouble again because I'm telling too much.
As a salesman, you always want to tell everything, but you are not allowed to.
Then I thank you for that at this point and I'm looking forward to the next time.
Wonderful. And I thank you for doing the job, because you do it great.
I always like to watch your podcasts with video.
Thank you.
Great, thanks.
