Western Huber chickens were imported to Vietnam in 2008.
After a long period of well-being in a warm and humid environment,
they are able to survive and find food.
The rate of life is from 92 to 95%.
The body mass of a 5-month-old chicken is from 5.5 to 6 kg per child.
Currently, many areas in Huong Yen, Hanoi, have developed a breed like this,
replacing domestic Western chickens with low-producing chickens to help breed them effectively.
Nong Lam TV would like to introduce you to some of the following breeding techniques.
1. Conditions for successful breeding
About Western Huber chickens, the breeders need to meet the general requirements of the breeders.
Build a farm on a land of 30 to 50 cm in the dry land.
The height of the land is suitable for 2.5 to 2.8 m.
Because Western Huber chickens like to rest on tall logs,
the frame must be at least 30 to 40 cm wide.
The farm needs to have a light window on the south or southeast side.
The window must be 40 to 50 cm away from the house.
The minimum area of the window is 20% of the space in the farm.
The ground of the farm can be made of clay or concrete to facilitate cleaning and weeding.
In the farm, you need to stir-fry the beans.
The stir-fry height is about 50 cm for young chickens,
70 to 150 cm for adult chickens.
The minimum stir-fry length is 35 to 40 cm above the chicks.
About the feed,
Western Huber chickens can be fed from 2 to 3 cm high paper boxes
or 5 cm high plastic boxes.
From 1 to 7 days old, 40 to 60 chicks are kept on the feed.
From 7 to 42 days old,
30 to 40 chicks are kept on a 40 cm wide glass frame.
After 42 days old,
the feed is fed automatically with a 3 to 4 cm long feed.
The feed can be replaced with iron or wooden frames 25 to 30 cm wide
and 15 to 20 cm high, 40 to 60 cm high.
About the feed,
from 1 to 5 days old,
30 chicks are kept on a 2 liter or 1 cm long feed.
From 5 to 42 days old,
60 chicks are kept on a 40 cm wide glass frame
or 1 on a 2 cm long feed.
After 42 days old,
13 cm wide glass frame or 1 on a 2 cm long feed
or 1 on a 1 cm long feed
in the case of two sides facing each other.
About the playground and grass for Western Huber chickens,
the minimum playground area is 2 to 3 times the area of the farm.
The standard grass field for Western Huber chickens is a fruit tree garden.
It can take Western Huber chickens to the grass field.
If there is no good grass field,
we have to create a place for Western Huber chickens to run,
which requires 20 to 25 square meters on the grass field.
The sand bath needs to be placed in the playground.
The playground needs to be protected by a 2.5 meter high net.
2. Prepare the conditions for raising Western Huber chickens.
Before raising Western Huber chickens,
you need to prepare all technical conditions,
such as a cage, a cover, a rooster,
a net, a feeder, a feeder,
and check the equipment before putting the chickens in and raising them.
All devices must be turned on before use for 2 to 3 days.
The cage is ventilated with Kamena O4 plus Fogmon,
with a capacity of 120ml Fogmon plus 60g Kamena O4 for 4 square meters of the cage.
Then close the door for 24 hours.
Then open the door to ventilate from 12 to 24 hours before bringing the chickens down to the cage.
Prepare enough food and medicine for Western Huber chickens.
The cage must be ventilated well after the last incubation,
placed in the lowest temperature,
or turn on the heater and adjust the temperature.
The temperature in the incubator must be ensured to be higher than 2 to 3 degrees Celsius
compared to the temperature in the cage.
Use a high pressure cord from 40 to 50 cm
to incubate Western Huber chickens for 1 day.
The cage quality uses a clean,
or narrow, short 5 to 6 cm net,
not tangled,
5 to 10 cm long,
and is sterilized with 2% Fogmon.
Wet the cage from 10 to 12 hours before putting the chickens in.
3. Choose a cage and release the chickens.
Choose light, shiny, fluffy, chubby, fat chickens.
Avoid raising dry-legged,
sagging,
sprained,
bulging,
belly,
and hairy.
The steps when releasing the chickens are as follows.
The cage must be filled with water,
mixed with a new amount of vitamins,
and must be dissolved.
Pour the food into the cage before putting the babies in.
The incubation cage is arranged in a suitable area.
Start releasing the chickens from the inner boxes first,
and gradually move out.
Note that the place where the food is placed needs to be illuminated
because the Western Huber chickens look very poor.
To raise the chickens well,
you need to raise them at a relatively low level and a small size.
Chickens at different ages need to be raised separately.
Western Huber chickens need to be kept warm
because they cannot self-adjust their body temperature in the first 2 weeks.
Therefore, keeping the chicken body warm in the first weeks
before going to the cage is very necessary.
If the temperature is not enough,
the rate of life and growth will be affected.
Respiratory diseases,
and the disease is easy to develop.
The temperature of the Western Huber chickens and babies
needs to be done in the following way.
From the age of 3 weeks,
the baby chickens need a place to run.
First, you just need to open the door in the morning.
The baby chickens can go out if they want.
Then we can keep the baby chickens outside for 1-2 hours
when the weather allows.
Do not let them outside when it rains,
or where there is water in the playground,
or wet grass,
because they are very sensitive.
When they are 5 weeks old,
they will have their first complete fur.
After shaving,
they can stand the water.
They can even take a bath.
Then the food and drinks can be put outside.
To keep the chickens warm,
the baby chickens need electric light,
outdoor light,
where there is electricity,
or a river light,
a coal stove,
a stove,
in the deep and far areas.
Use a hanging harness in the middle of the cage,
high or low,
depending on the specific temperature.
During the breeding process,
observe the reaction of the chickens to the temperature.
If the chickens are close to the heat source,
the cage is not hot enough,
the chickens are cold.
If the chickens are far away from the heat source,
they are cold,
they are thirsty,
they want to breathe.
If the chickens are too hot,
they need to adjust the temperature.
If the chickens are on one side,
they are exposed to the wind,
it is very dangerous.
They need to cover their eyes from the wind.
When the temperature in the countryside is suitable,
the chickens move,
eat normally,
sleep well.
The humidity in the cage also has a great effect
on the temperature adjustment of the chickens.
The humidity is approximately 60-70%
suitable for Western chickens.
However,
in Vietnam,
the humidity in the cage is always much higher.
To restore the high humidity in Vietnam,
the cage must always be kept dry,
avoid wet humidity.
Especially,
newly hatched Western chickens
absolutely do not let the chickens get wet
because at this stage,
they are very sensitive to water.
Western chickens need light 24 hours a day
from 1 to 3 weeks.
After that,
gradually reduce the natural light.
Before laying the chickens for a month,
use a 75-100W light bulb,
with a brightness of 3-4W
per square meter of the cage.
The amount of light
must be distributed throughout the cage.
Fourth,
the breeding density.
With the model of a cage,
use the cage density,
and the chicks perform the breeding density
in the back.
In the wild,
when Western chickens are 8 weeks old,
the breeding density can be higher than 12 chicks
per square meter.
Up to 10-12 weeks old,
can raise from 6 to 8 chicks
per square meter,
no need to spread out.
However,
bigger,
if not spread out,
will die a lot.
With the model of a cage,
can raise Western chickens in the cage
up to 8 weeks old.
The breeding density of Western chickens in the cage
can raise from 60 to 80 chicks
per square meter
up to 2 weeks old,
from 30 to 40 chicks
per square meter
up to 4 weeks old,
and from 15 to 20 chicks
per square meter
up to 6 weeks old.
Food and drink for Western chickens.
About food,
at the first 3 weeks of age,
give the chickens a balanced diet,
then we can change
by corn,
rice,
soy sauce,
green vegetables.
Need to feed the chickens many times a day.
The amount of food each time,
need to be balanced to meet the needs,
so that the food is always fresh,
clean,
stimulate the appetite of the chickens.
Each time for food,
need to remove the impurities
and waste in the store
to reuse the old ones.
Food needs to be balanced
with enough nutrients
to meet the needs
of development during the breeding period.
Food mix multi-ingredient,
use fertilizers,
have animal,
plant,
pre-mix,
preservatives,
do not use ingredients
that are contaminated,
toxins,
aflatoxin,
or fish powder
with high salt content.
Use soy sauce
must be cooked
for the chickens to digest.
If not,
the chickens will be disturbed
when eating.
About water,
Western chickens need
good quality water
continuously,
clean,
lack of water
can cause confusion,
especially when
just raised
and when the temperature is hot.
Need to give the chickens
clean water
and to increase resistance.
In the early days,
the water temperature
must be between
20 and 22 degrees Celsius
and should be mixed
with water
5 grams of glucose sugar
plus 1 gram of vitamin C
per liter of water.
Use automatic water
drinking tube
made of plastic
containing 3.5 liters
of water
for 100 chickens.
The position of the water
drinking tube
has a suitable distance
with the tray
to make it convenient
for the chickens to drink.
The water must always be clean,
must be changed several times
in a day
when changing water,
then the water
must be changed
all,
cleaned
and filled with new water
once a day.
Regardless of the type
of drink,
for Western chickens
it is best
to use running water.
During the time
on the tray
to raise,
there must be enough water.
If there is no water
on the tray,
then you have to pour
water into the drinking tube.
This is very important
on hot days
because the water
is very difficult
for the Western chickens
to stand the heat.
6. Take care of the Western chickens
In the farm,
we should limit
the use
to a minimum level.
Equipment to create noise,
avoid loud,
loud noises.
We have to work
in the farm
gently
to avoid
agitating the chickens.
Western chickens
are susceptible
to human voices.
They will gradually
recognize their caretakers.
Strangers
should not disturb
the chickens.
Conditions to avoid
hair loss
is to raise
low density,
divided into
many small groups
such as stability,
low humidity,
suitable light,
dry,
clean,
adequate amount
of food,
make the farm
2-3 times a week,
the farm
should not be wet,
the farm
should not be
too wet
or too dirty,
the farm
should be replaced.
When the farm
is replaced,
the farm
and all other work
should be carried out
to take the Western chickens
outside.
We should regularly
check the farm
for food.
Western chickens
from 3 weeks old
should be trained
to avoid
training the chickens
where there is
mud,
grass,
sand,
soil.
After 4 weeks,
we can release the chickens
to the farm
to help the chickens
to eat grass
in the barn
such as the barn.
The chickens
need to be taken
to a good place
where there is grass.
The grass
should be isolated
from the cars
and people
and should not be
in contact
with other insects.
If there is no
natural mud on the top of the grass,
we need to make
moving mud
to be able
to move
from one place
to another.
The area of mud
is 1 square meter
above the chicks.
To raise the fat Western chickens,
after raising the Western chickens
from 10 to
2.5 to
3 kg,
the Western chickens
weigh about
1.5 to
2 kg
and they have
good immune system.
Very few
require harsh conditions
to take care of
raising them
as above.
The meat-raising chickens
are fed
freely all night
and eat as much
as possible
until they kill the meat.
In the morning,
they use natural light
and at night,
they turn off the light.
Here is the formula
for feeding the Western chickens
according to their age
and the vaccine prescription.
The Western chickens
are fed
6 to 7 months old
as a requirement
for meat production.
At that time,
the eggs
can weigh
from 5 kg
to 8 kg.
The chickens weigh
from 3 to
5 kg.
Above
is the technique
of feeding
Western chickens.
In the following videos,
Dong Lam TV
will continue
to introduce
to the people
the technique
of raising
Western chickens
successfully
and the experiences
of raising
Western chickens.
