Donald Trump went to Michigan.
He did not go to the debate.
Some people have criticized him for that.
You can criticize him, but he's 40 in most polls,
some 50 points ahead.
If he had gone, the whole thing would have been about him.
So in some ways, be glad he didn't go.
If you think someone other than Donald Trump
should be president, you shouldn't want him there.
You should want these others to have their voice.
Because if he's there, it's going to be all about him.
I mean, it just is.
But he went to Michigan speaking to the automakers,
or the auto workers, who are on strike.
And he kind of undercut Joe Biden going there to talk.
Here's just a clip of his speech to them.
But I will not allow, under any circumstances,
the American automobile industry to die.
I want it to thrive and to thrive like never before.
One of the reasons that the auto workers
are in such financial trouble
is because Joe Biden's push toward electric vehicles
mean that a lot of those auto workers will lose their jobs.
It doesn't take as many people to produce the electric car
as it does to produce a gas-powered car.
Donald Trump also points out what you don't hardly ever hear
and that is that the range of an electric vehicle,
very limited, and the weight of the battery
means it's not going to be very efficient.
Watch.
Forcing the truckers to go all electric, all electric trucks.
Now, the trucks probably don't have the power.
They only go about 300 miles,
whereas a diesel-fueled truck goes 2,000 miles.
That's a big difference, would you say?
Also, the battery takes up so much room.
There's practically no room left
for what you happen to be shipping.
The whole thing is crazy.
One of the things I always love about Donald Trump,
he can just cut through all the noise
and get down to what really matters.
300 miles or 2,000 miles?
You know, are you going to have a battery so big
that it takes up all the room in the truck
that you would have been hauling stuff?
And, you know, he points out the obvious.
In the midst of that,
I think his funniest line of the night
was this priceless gem regarding Joe Biden
and whether Joe Biden's ever gotten his hands dirty
doing hard work.
But it was the men and women who got,
every single day they got up
and came back home with grease on their hands
and they were the ones that paid the price.
They paid a big, big price.
The only time Joe Biden has ever gotten his hands dirty
is when he's taking cash from foreign countries,
which is quite often, actually.
It's quite often.
Classic Trump.
It was really a great line.
So let's take a look at Bidenomics
for the next minute or two.
By the way, last week,
I think we talked about the nickname for Corrine Jean-Pierre
as Corringe Jean-Pierre.
Yes.
And Dan Mandis, a local disc jockey,
not a disc jockey,
but a talk show host here in Nashville.
Dan Mandis is the one who created that.
And I give him full credit,
which is one of the best descriptions
of Corrine Jean-Pierre I've heard.
Corringe Jean-Pierre.
But here's what she has to say
about what a great job Joe Biden is doing with the economy.
This president has been so zeroed in,
so laser focused on lowering costs for Americans.
And we've done that.
And a lot of the policies
that the president has put forward are indeed popular.
I mean, Bidenomics has worked so well
that you have Republicans in their own districts,
in their own states,
taking credit for things that the president pushed forward,
policies that the president has pushed forward,
legislation that they didn't even vote for.
If you think about the American Rescue Plan,
the Inflation Reduction Act.
Name one Republican, Corrine Jean-Pierre.
One Republican who's out there bragging
about what Bidenomics is doing.
Even if they say they invented it.
Just name me one,
because I don't know of any.
Here is a just hard cold fact.
Prices are up by 17.5% since Joe Biden took office.
And she's talking about how laser focused he is,
how he's lowering costs for Americans.
He has not lowered costs for Americans.
They're up 17.5% since he took office.
I mean, those are hard numbers.
You can't argue with those.
I'll tell you who understands
that they're being hurt by Bidenomics.
The American people.
And that's why the poll numbers for Joe Biden
are in the toilet.
Watch.
It's just this simple question of job approval.
Barely 40% approve of Joe Biden's performance.
And we have to note 56%.
That's the highest disapproval rating
for President Biden since he took office.
That's significant.
Yeah, so let's take a look at what's driving that too here.
From one big area, no surprise, it is the economy.
Look at this contrast.
This is April of 21, months after Biden took office.
Nearly half the country was satisfied
with where the economy was.
Then, now, barely one in four Americans
satisfied with the economy.
Hey, that's not Newsmax.
That's NBC, folks.
NBC.
56% disapproval for President Biden.
Overall job performance, 72% of Americans
unhappy with the economy under Joe Biden.
But he thinks he's doing great.
He thinks he's knocking it out of the park.
He ain't even fouling it behind the catcher.
But listen at him boast of his wonderful job.
So I'm running again, and you may have noticed
a lot of people are focused on my age.
Well, I get it, believe me.
I know better than anyone.
But there's something else I know.
When I came to office, this nation was flat on its back.
I knew what to do.
I vaccinated the nation and rebuilt the economy.
Mm, yeah.
Boy, we're all pretty pumped about it too, Joe.
He came to office, the nation was flat on its back.
And now, now we're face down.
He said he vaccinated the nation and rebuilt the economy.
He rebuilt it all right.
But it's like taking a Mercedes and turning it into a Yugo.
And that's what we have now.
It's just been pretty doggone disasters.
Is the border secure?
Well, this week, some people have said it was.
Ayanna Pressley, who is maybe one of the least
capable people in Congress,
I'm being charitable when I say it that way,
is on Jake Tapper's CNN show.
She insists the border's secure.
Watch.
No doubt about it.
Our border is secure.
And we're in the midst of a humanitarian crisis.
And we have to fix a broken system.
You think it is secure?
You think the border is secure?
Or it is not secure?
I believe that we are in the midst
of a humanitarian crisis.
What a question.
Is the border secure?
And she kept ultimately saying, yeah, it's secure.
By whose standard?
I mean, good heavens, that's like saying
about the Hindenburg,
well, it was mostly a pretty decent landing.
Other than the fact that it exploded up in the air
before it crashed.
I mean, that's just absurd.
But here's absurdity for you.
Congressman Hank Johnson of Georgia.
Here's a brain trust here.
And he is asked by a reporter about the border.
Listen.
We're breaking the rules,
paying a criminal organization to do so,
to get to the front of the line.
Does that concern you?
Have you ever been to the border before
to see what's happening?
Yes, I have.
I've spent a lot of time at the border, yeah.
You didn't talk with the right people apparently,
because your information, your questions based on,
you know, your questions are kind of off base.
Yeah, as her questions, that was off base.
Pretty simple question, nothing off base about it.
Are we secure at the border?
And he asked the question that he obviously didn't realize.
He said, you ever been to the border?
Yes, I have been.
She should have followed up and says, have you?
Obviously he hasn't.
But I want you to be introduced,
because we kind of alluded to this at the first of the show.
Just a few years ago, there was a congressional hearing.
We were about to send 10,000 military personnel
to the island of Guam.
And he was worried if we sent that many people there
for reasons that you'll have to watch to believe.
Yeah, my fear is that the whole island
will become so overly populated
that it will tip over and capsize.
I wish we'd left it on long enough to see the admiral
who was sitting there, who to his credit,
for which he should have been given a chest full of medals.
He sat there with a straight face and said,
well, Congressman, we are pretty confident
that the island will not tip over.
He honestly thought if we sent 10,000 military personnel
to the island of Guam, the big problem was it might tip over.
Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous in your life?
This guy's in Congress.
Some of you in Georgia.
He's your congressman.
I know you're proud of him.
Hey, Mike Huckabee here.
Listen, if you love your mom, apple pie,
and being conservative,
you know you ought to subscribe to the channel.
Hit the notification bell and click the like button
and show all the leftists out there
that conservatives are thriving
and patriotism is far from dead.
Am I pandering too much?
No way.
I'm just getting started.
