From the records of famous travelers and public figures of the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries.
In the cosmic model of the flat Earth, the North Pole is the immobile center of the world and the entire universe.
The polar star is located directly above the North Pole at the highest point in the sky,
and like a slowly rotating planetary dome, the entire celestial body rotates over the Earth around the polar star once a day.
The Sun rotates over and around the Earth's circumference every 24 hours.
In the model of the flat Earth, the South Pole does not exist at all, and Antarctica is a giant bowl or World Cup that fits the oceans.
No matter how strange this concept may seem at first glance, but the fact that if from any place on Earth you go south,
then at 78 degrees of southern latitude, you will be face to face with a huge ice wall,
rising to 100-200 feet in height and spreading to the east and west around the world.
One of the founders of the National Geographic Society, National Geographic, General Adolph Washington Greeley wrote,
The Ice Barrier, as it is often called in reports about Antarctic regions,
is the first layer of a huge ice cover or ice cup.
Formed on vast wavy fields due to heavy snowfall,
it reaches hundreds if not thousands of feet in thickness and crawls from the continent of Antarctica to the Arctic Ocean.
The Ice Barrier, which is part of the parent ice cup,
demonstrates itself to a navigator who is brave enough to approach this terrible perpendicular ice wall from 1000 to 2000 feet in thickness,
of which from 100 to 200 feet rise above the sea level, and from 8 to 18 hundred feet below sea level.
General Adolph Washington Greeley, American military figure, scientist and traveler, polar explorer, writer.
Honorary member of the American Geographic Society, 1894.
And this is what the English inventor and writer Samuel Raubot wrote.
It was demonstrated that the Earth is a plane, the center of the surface, which is directly under the star,
called the polar, and the extreme point, which is limited by vast ice territories, water and irregular masses of land.
All this ends in darkness and fog, where there is almost constant snow and heavy hail,
piercing ice rains, noisy winds, howling storms, insanely rising waves,
and colliding icebergs, Dr. Samuel Raubot, looking for astronomy, the Earth is not a step.
Antarctica is not a tiny ice continent, which is located on the lower side of the Astronomers' Globe.
Quite the opposite, Antarctica literally surrounds us at 360 degrees,
encircles each continent, and acts as a barrier to the ocean.
The most frequently asked questions, as well as the biggest secrets,
still have to be revealed, how far Antarctic ice protrudes outside.
Is there a limit? What lies beyond its limits, or is it just boundless snow and ice?
Thanks to the United Nations' agreement and constant military surveillance,
the North Pole and Antarctica are still a classified government.
Both are neither an air nor a maritime zone.
Several civilian pilots and captains reported that they were driven away, and others were exposed to the threat of violence.
The same Dr. Samuel Raubot writes in his book,
how far ice extends, how it ends, and what exists beyond its limits,
modern people's experience cannot answer these questions.
All we know at the moment is snow and hail, howling winds, indescribable storms and frequent hurricanes,
from all sides of the road, people are blocked by steep slopes of eternal ice,
spreading further than the eye or telescope can observe, and getting lost in the twilight and darkness.
Dr. Samuel Raubot, a seeker of astronomy, Earth is not a ball.
Conquering the stormy southern oceans and the Antarctic ice wall,
researchers face the longest, darkest and coldest nights,
the most dangerous seas and storms in the world.
Vasco da Gama, a Portuguese researcher of the southern seas and the beginning of the 16th century, wrote,
waves rise like mountains to the sky, ships go to the sky, to the clouds,
and apparently, the surfaced ones are twisted by a whirlpool to the bottom of the ocean.
The winds are piercingly cold and so noisy that the voice of the boatman can be heard very rarely,
while the oppressive and almost constant darkness significantly increases the danger.
Vasco da Gama's boatman was a famous Arab scientist,
the descendant of the sailor Ahmad ibn Madjid.
In 1773, Captain Hook, the first modern researcher,
crossed the border of the South Pole and reached the ice barrier.
During three voyages and a duration of three years and eight days,
Captain Hook and his crew covered a total of 60,000 miles, 96,560 kilometers,
along the coast of Antarctica,
never finding an entrance or way inside or through the massive ice wall.
Captain Hook wrote,
the ice spreads to the east and west far beyond our observation,
while in the southern half of the horizon, which was illuminated by the rays of light,
reflected by the ice to a significant height.
I actually thought that the ice was stretching to the pole itself,
or perhaps joining some land,
from which it was connected from the moment of creation.
From Captain Hook's notes
On October 5, 1839, another researcher, James Clark Ross,
began a series of Antarctic voyages, which lasted a total of four years and five months.
Ross and his team sailed thousands of miles on two well-equipped warships,
losing many people from hurricanes and icebergs,
looking for a point of exit beyond the southern ice wall.
After the first collision with the massive barrier, Captain Ross wrote about the wall,
stretching from its eastern extreme point as far as the eye could distinguish to the east.
It is an unusual view,
gradually increasing in height, the closer we approached it,
and being elongated perpendicular ice cliffs between 150 and 200 feet above sea level,
45-60 meters, with a perfectly flat and flat without any cracks or protrusions to the surface from above,
even on a part turned to zero.
We could have penetrated through such a massif with equal chances of success,
as to sail through the rocks of Dubra.
William Benjamin Carpenter, an English naturalist,
a doctor, zoologist and physiologist,
who played a significant role in the formation of the London University, wrote,
Yes, but we can bypass the South Pole quite easily,
often say those who do not know the British Challenger,
which recently completed a movement around the southern region,
to make sure that the ship was sailing for about three years,
having passed almost 69,000 miles,
it is 111,044 kilometers,
a distance enough to bend the South Pole six times,
according to the hypothesis of Charles William Carpenter,
100 proofs that the Earth is not a mine.
Samuel Rowbottom also wrote,
If we now consider the fact that when we travel on land or sea
from any part of the world known to us in the direction of the North Polar Star,
then we will return to the same point.
We have to draw a conclusion that until now
was called the North Polar Region,
in fact, is the center of the Earth.
From this northern center, the Earth diverges and stretches,
as necessary, in the direction of the circumference,
which should now be called the South Region,
which is a huge circle, not a pole or center.
For this and other reasons,
all great navigators were disappointed in their efforts
and ashamed in their attempts to sail around the Earth
beyond the Antarctic Circle.
But if the South Region is a pole or a center,
like the North,
it would not be difficult to bend it,
since the size of the circle would be relatively small.
When it is seen that the Earth is not a sphere,
but a plane with only one center,
the North, and the South is a huge ice border of the world,
then the difficulties that navigators face
and floating around can be easily explained.
Dr. Samuel Rowbottom,
Seeking Astronomy. Earth is not a sphere.
Second edition.
So if the Earth really was a sphere,
then each line from the equator to the South
would become smaller and smaller in the circle,
the more it passed to the South.
In other cases, a circle of 10 degrees
of the southern latitude will include a smaller circle
than on the equator,
20 degrees of the southern latitude
will correspond to a larger circle than 10 and so on.
If the Earth is a huge plane,
then each line from the equator to the South
should be larger and larger in the circle,
the further it is passed to the South.
10 degrees of the southern latitude
will correspond to a larger circle than the equator,
20 degrees of the southern latitude
will correspond to a larger circle than 10 and so on.
If the Earth were a sphere,
the longitude lines would be rounded on the equator,
spreading over both poles.
Taking into account that the Earth is flat,
the longitude lines should simply expand
from the north pole outward.
So what is really going on?
The writer David Wardlow Scott wrote in his book in 1901.
According to the principle of writing
and regular observation,
the world is not a planet,
but consists of a huge mass of land
stretched to the level of the sea.
The north is the center of the system,
and it is obvious that the longitude degrees
will gradually increase along the way from the north
to the ice border of the Great Southern Circumference.
As a result, the difference between the longitude
and the latitude is that on the latitude
the Cape of Good Hope has a huge number of miles.
Many ship captains were wrong in their calculations,
and many ships were crashed.
The captains of the ships
that were taught the latitude theory
do not know how to explain
that so much comes out if they take a course
on the southern latitude and write it down on the current.
Although currents can exist,
they usually do not move in opposite directions,
and ships often crash
regardless of whether they sail east or west.
During his voyage around the Antarctic Circle,
Captain James Clark Ross often wrote in his magazine
in bewilderment how they constantly
deviated from the schedule,
stating that they deviated on average
by 12-16 miles, 19-25 kilometers
from their course every day,
on some days by 29 miles, 46 kilometers.
Lieutenant Charles Wilkes commanded
the geological exploration expedition
of the United States of Antarctica
from August 18, 1838
to June 5, 1842.
Almost four years were devoted
to studying and filming the South Ocean.
In his magazines, Lieutenant Wilkes mentions
that they were constantly
to the east of their calculations,
sometimes more than 20 miles, 32 kilometers,
less than 18 hours.
Samuel Rowbottom wrote in his book
that during the expedition,
of course, they were trained
and believed in the roundness of the Earth,
unable to imagine any other reason
for the difference between the results
of the port magazine and the chronometer
except for the existence of currents.
But one simple fact is absolutely fatal
for this explanation, namely,
that the angles of the South Ocean
cannot be directed in two opposite directions
at the same time, and therefore,
at least various local alternating currents
are not noticed, they cannot be the reason
for the discrepancies usually observed
in the high southern latitudes
between the time and the results
of the port magazine.
In fact, they proved by demonstrating
that the Earth is a plane
with a northern center,
in relation to which the degrees
are wide and are concentric,
and from which the degrees
are long and diverge in lines,
constantly increasing their distance
from each other as they approach
the Earth.
The historian and geographer
Thomas Milner wrote
Navigators sailing to India
in the southern hemisphere
often presented themselves
to the east of the Cape,
being western, and were thrown
to the coast of Africa,
which was a challenge
in 1845.
How did it happen
that the ship of Her Majesty
the Conqueror was lost?
How come so many other worthy ships,
reliable, well-equipped,
beautifully controlled,
were destroyed in calm weather
On the other hand,
on the underwater rocks,
being beyond calculations
under the circumstances
that still refute
any satisfactory explanation,
Thomas Milner,
Traveling through Creation.
Parallel only to the Earth,
taken in the direction
of any of these concentric circles,
will owe it the degrees
that increase,
moving away from the equator
to the south.
These hundreds of ships
suffered a crash
from a false idea
that all difficulties
would be over,
and the ships could go
to any place in complete safety.
And, by the way,
modern ships and planes
lay out the route
exactly on the map of the flat Earth.
This is called
practical evidence
that the Earth is not a ball.
