Charity host posted clips showing Harry angrily muted Meghan as the Duchess butts in a conversation right over him. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry mingled with Oprah Winfrey at a star-studded event hosted by Kevin Costner. But it wasn't the illustrious company that caught people's attention. Meghan Markle was spotted without a sparkling engagement ring for a second time as she and her husband Prince Harry rubbed shoulders with Hollywood A-listers at a swanky event. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made an appearance at the 1805 Live charity event on Friday evening, organised by Hollywood legend actor Kevin Costner. The event was held at Kevin's 26 million dollar polo field in Santa Barbara, which is on Harry and Meghan's doorstep. The pomp and pageantry of the event didn't distract eagle-eyed observers from one subtle but significant detail however. The Duchess was not sporting her sparkling engagement ring. The second such time she's been seen without it. This isn't the first time Meghan has been spotted without her engagement ring. The Duchess opted to go without it during her appearance at the Invictus Games earlier this month. During the event a short video of about 10 seconds was recorded and it's even posted by the event's host. Both Meghan and Harry were having a small chat with some local guests outside. The two had a little conflict shown in the clip. While Harry was engrossed in talking to a man, the Duchess, who was talking to another guest standing next to her, tried to drown out Harry's voice. The Prince was silent for a few seconds then angrily raised his voice above Meghan's so that he could continue his conversation. Right after that the Duchess showed her anger by staring fiercely at Harry. For those of us who love body language this is a treasure trove in like 10 seconds. The look of total malice she gives him while she clenches her jaw after she realises he's talking to someone is kind of scary. She then puts a smiley face back on but now her jaw is still clenched and she's clearly irritated. She then interrupts him and his head snaps towards her like he's startled. He was engrossed in his conversation in a fairly genuine matter. After that his jaw clenches and he purses his lips and looks pissed off. As she now talks over him to the person he was speaking with, he fidgets with his collar in obvious discomfort and irritation. Body language doesn't lie. Harry didn't say what she wanted him to say which is why she jumps in. She uses the hand gestures to show that this is what Harry and her mean. It's persistent that Meghan looks pissed off when someone else is talking or getting attention. She can't help herself. She can't train away the response to her deepest emotion, jealousy. She's glaring at Harry like she hates him. She thinks this is her world. She's supposed to be the one in the command position. She brought him to this world. He can't have the lead. The Sussexes were grinning from ear to ear but one body language expert suggested that Harry looked uncomfortable upon closer inspection. Meghan looks entranced by the events in the company while Harry appears less comfortable, looking rather out of place in the celebrity surroundings, Judy James told The Mirror. She added, one of the Duke's hands seems keen to stay stuffed in a pocket and it's Meghan seeming to keep touching him with a hand in small pats or pushes. In her concluding remark, Judy said, it looks very much like Meghan's gig with her taking much more central and dominant role here, perhaps swapping roles and status with her husband after Harry's star turn at the Invictus Games.
