QUESTION OF THE DAY: WOULD DATING ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS PEOPLE ON THE PLANET BE MORE TROUBLE THAN IT’S WORTH?
Football player Travis Kelsey is on his way to becoming an NFL legend, and he's not doing
it on his own either.
He's been accompanied on this quest from the very beginning by his older brother Jason.
Jason's the extremely popular center of the Philadelphia Eagles, while Travis has made
a name for himself as a record-breaking tight end for Kansas City Chiefs.
These two even squared off against one another on the biggest stage possible, the Super Bowl
in 2023.
After a hard-fought game, Travis came away with victory, and though he was disappointed
with the final outcome, Jason gave his little brother a hug, as well as words of encouragement.
If competing against one another with the biggest prize in their profession on the line
won't tear these two apart, nothing will.
And for good reason, too.
They've been thick as thieves ever since their childhood spent growing up in Cleveland Heights,
Ohio.
It was there that their father Ed worked in a steel mill, and their mother Donna worked
at a nearby bank.
But raising two boys so close in age wasn't always as easy.
As Donna told Fox 4 Kansas City, it's a lot of broken windows, a lot of, you know, crashes,
a lot of fighting.
And Travis was always the one that was the instigator because he wanted his brother's
attention.
Raised in a five-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home on cozy Coleridge Road, county records
show Donna bought their family home that was originally constructed in 1916 for $138,000
in June of 1994, when Jason was six and Travis was four.
As a youngster, Travis grew up with his very own sports complex in front of the house,
where the driveway served as the brothers' pitching mound, and they'd use the neighborhood
street to play one-on-one hockey as well.
For the most part, their childhood was picture perfect.
Family Christmases, get-togethers in the backyard, and all the rest.
But underneath the surface, Travis's parents were struggling to keep their marriage together
for the sake of the kids.
Recognizing that splitting would have created a nightmare in terms of logistics, and being
there to support the boys in their athletic endeavors, Donna and Ed kept things together
until their kids headed off to college.
As tough as that must've been.
But all that dedication would pay off as their sons grew older.
At Cleveland Heights High School, Travis played quarterback and caught the attention of college
recruiters by throwing for 1,523 yards while running an additional 1,016.
A few years later, he was fielding multiple scholarship offers, but decided to follow
in his older brother's footsteps by playing at Cincinnati.
And it was a good thing he did too because if his brother hadn't been there, Travis's
career might've been over before it started.
Following his freshman year, Travis failed a routine drug test, which resulted in his
scholarship being revoked and getting kicked off the team.
Until his brother stepped in, that is.
Looking to whip his sibling into shape, Jason had Travis move in with him and some of their
other teammates to keep an eye on things.
He then spoke with their head coach and convinced him to give Travis one more shot.
Travis later told Sports Illustrated,
I've never really asked how he got me back on the team.
That was my brother just being a big brother, looking out for me every step of the way and
fighting for the success story.
If Jason hadn't done so, the NFL might've missed out on one of their most successful
players ever.
Travis Kelsey has spent his entire career with one team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
His future Hall of Fame tight end was selected by the team in the third round of the 2013
NFL Draft, and the coach who drafted him, Andy Reid, was his brother Jason's former
coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Travis has since gone on to become not only one of the league's brightest stars, but
one of their biggest personalities as well.
In his 10 seasons with the Chiefs, he's been to Pro Bowl 8 times, the Super Bowl 3
times, and won it all twice.
He also holds the NFL record for the most consecutive seasons with 1,000 receiving
yards by a tight end, which currently stands at 7.
ESPN went so far as to refer to him as one of the best NFL players ever.
Thanks in no small part to that reputation, ever since moving to Kansas City, Travis Kelsey
has enjoyed the high life.
When he first arrived in town, he moved into a studio apartment.
And while there's not any information out there about this unit, based upon old social
media images and clips, it looks like it was the perfect spot for a young man in his 20s.
Comprised of an open concept living area and kitchen with brick walls and industrial ceilings,
Travis had plenty of options at his fingertips, whether it involved shooting some pool, slam
dunking a basketball, checking out a movie on his entertainment center, or using his
galley kitchen to cook himself up a high protein meal.
But after teaming up with Patrick Mahomes and leading the Chiefs to a 2019 Super Bowl
victory, Travis decided to put down some roots in Kansas City for good, by purchasing a brand
new home for $995,000.
Travis' stunning customized estate is situated in the very luxurious Briarcliff West Community.
Originally built in 1994, Travis' home underwent a massive renovation back in 2007, when the
entire main floor and upper level were redone with additional features such as travertine
tiles, new lighting, updated appliances, and granite countertops.
In addition to owning a home with an eat-in kitchen, Travis' 10,000 square foot residence
also boasts a charming formal dining space located directly in the center of the home.
Elsewhere, the property offers five full bathrooms as well as two half baths and seven bedrooms.
The most noteworthy of all is, of course, the master suite, which in addition to a sitting
area, also features a private balcony from which to enjoy the Kansas City scenery.
As for the primary bathroom, it provides ample storage space, double vanity sinks, an extra
large soaking tub, and even a separate steam shower.
Other exclusive amenities are said to include a wet bar kitchenette on the second level,
a recreation room, gym, and a wine storage space with a built-in bar.
But of course, if you'd rather spend your time outside, there's options for that as
well.
Not only does Travis' deck sport breathtaking views of the surrounding treetops, it also
makes for the perfect alfresco dining spot.
There's even a large swimming pool out back accompanied by a gazebo, and all those trees
ensure Travis has as much privacy as he could possibly want.
As gorgeous as this home is, it's not the only spot that Travis lays his head down when
spending the night in Kansas City.
To take a look at his second home, we're going to have to head downtown.
According to the New York Post, Travis Kelsey will sometimes choose to shack up in a luxury
condominium in downtown Kansas City rather than head back to the suburbs.
Built in 2015 and located at one light luxury in the Power and Light District, Travis' apartment
building features 25 stories of living space.
Situated in the heart of Kansas City, the major selling point about this address is
its location, which is prime for visiting local restaurants, shops, concerts, and nightclubs.
In fact, the building even provides direct access to the local grocery store.
Photos of Travis' actual interior aren't widely available, but the condo has provided
model images to give prospective tenants an idea of just how nice it is to live here.
For instance, the main living space provides floor-to-ceiling windows along the entire
outside wall to provide spectacular views of the downtown skyline.
Other features include cement ceilings, hardwood flooring, and white walls that provide the
perfect canvas to allow for a renter to add their own personal touch.
As for the kitchen, it might be tiny, but it provides all the necessary space and tools
for a bachelor like Travis to get by, including a small kitchen island where he can enjoy
the occasional meal when he's not dining out downtown.
Elsewhere, you'll find a dining area surrounded by warm wooden columns and a series of wine
racks built into the wall themselves.
And if that's not decadent enough for you, Travis' unit also includes access to a
fireside lounge that functions as a home theater, and he can head upstairs to the rooftop to
partake in the panoramic views of the city or take a dip in the amazing pool.
The New York Post believes Travis has lived here since 2018, although details on whether
or not he still calls this apartment home are kind of vague.
If you're interested in checking the place out for yourself, just know that units can
range in prices anywhere from $1,500 to $3,400 a month.
Alright folks, that is gonna bring this latest edition of House Tour to a close.
Thank you so much for watching, and before you head out, consider answering the following
question.
Would dating one of the most famous people on the planet be more trouble than it's worth?
You already know I'm asking that because of Travis' relationship with none other
than Taylor Swift.
So let me know down below if you'd approach a star of her caliber cautiously, or if you
maybe think it's meant to be.
Let me know in the comments down below.

My name is Kara and if you'd like to check out another celebrity home before you leave,
keep watching because next we're gonna go inside the homes of Sean Strickland.
Thanks again for watching, and I'll see you next time.
Bye!
In September 2023, Sean Strickland accomplished the nearly unthinkable.
He stunned Nigerian-born New Zealander Israel Adesanya to claim the middleweight title by
unanimous decision in the main events of UFC 293.
At the age of 32, Sean's career has largely been successful, with a 28-5 record in
mixed martial arts bouts.
But this is only the second championship he's ever won, following five successful
defenses of the King of the Cage middleweight title.
Despite now having one of the most shocking wins in UFC history tied to his name,
Strickland is anything but showy.
At least, not when it comes to his personal life.
Way back when, in his youth, Strickland claimed he used to be a skinhead and led a childhood
full of hate, following in his grandfather's less-than-noble footsteps.
Things might've been even worse with his parents.
In fact, Sean can remember sleeping in his mother's room many nights of his childhood
because he was afraid his father might come in and harm her.
As you can no doubt assume from those stories,
Sean's home life as a kid was frightening to say the least.
In the 9th grade, he was even expelled from school for perpetrating a hate crime,
which is what led his mother signing him up for MMA classes at the age of 14.
All that anger and resentment fueled his passion for training.
And as he became adept at defending himself,
Sean learned from people of all different types and races,
which led him to abandoning his original mindset.
Sean turned professional at 17 years old and made his debut in 2008 for King of the Cage,
where he remained undefeated.
Six years later, the UFC signed him to a contract,
where he compiled a 14-5 record over the next decade on his way
to earning a middleweight title shot against Israel Adesanya in September 2023.
You're probably thinking to yourself,
that's an awful long time for a pretty successful fighter to go without a title shot.
But don't forget that in 2018, Sean nearly lost his life and two years of his career,
following a devastating motorcycle accident in LA.
He suffered numerous injuries and even required knee surgery,
waiting over 18 months before he could return to the octagon.
But after a couple of years spent back in the UFC,
Sean suddenly found himself earning an opportunity he didn't expect.
When Drikos Duplassi dropped out of his middleweight championship bout with a foot injury,
the challenge to face one of the industry's top combatants,
Adesanya, otherwise known as the Stylebender, fell onto Sean.
Strickland was a huge underdog coming into the fight.
According to CBS Sports, Israel was the 7-1 betting favorite heading into the bout.
But the fighter, who was expected to be nothing more than a speed bump,
suddenly became much more than that early on in the match,
when he floored the champ in the first round and set the tone for what was to come.
As Israel withdrew further and further into himself,
Strickland sensed the moment was at hand and in the final minute,
delivered a flurry of punches and kicks, which helped ensure the decision would go his way.
Now, Sean Strickland is something he honestly never thought he would be,
the UFC middleweight champ.
But if you think that's going to change the way this guy lives his life, well, think again.
Sean Strickland has never exactly lived what you might call a charmed life.
His childhood was rough and the majority of his adult years have been spent in the gym.
He never exactly prioritized his home life,
not even after compiling a fairly compelling record in the UFC.
Back in January 2022,
Sean took the step of inviting his fans into his apartment in Las Vegas to take a look around,
and it was unlike any other house tour you've seen.
All right, you guys asked a tour of where I live.
Now, I don't want to make you feel bad about your life.
You gotta understand, I make a decent amount of money, so.
Sean Strickland doesn't live a life of luxury, and going by this tour,
he's pretty content owning very little of anything at all.
Next to this table where he keeps his motorcycle helmet is Sean's guitar.
He's owned this object since he was a kid, hoping it would get him noticed by girls,
but he's never even learned how to play it.
Instead, he found other more inventive ways to put it to use on his father.
Hanging a few feet away from the guitar in the middle of his living room is the
one thing that gets the most use in the entire home.
Sean's punching bag.
In terms of furnishings, Sean has a solid gray couch that looks like it's perfectly
comfortable, even if it is previously owned.
Rather than decorate the rest of his living room, the man has decided to set up a drill
press in the far corner, just in case the need to construct something by hand should
suddenly strike him in the middle of the night.
Opposite the drill is Sean's kitchen.
It boasts light wood cabinets, granite countertops, a built-in dishwasher, and a missing drawer.
Sean's decorative item here of choice is firearms.
A lot of them.
Considering everything I've shown you up to this point, I'm sure you're all curious
as to what kind of state his bathroom's in.
Well, that's not too bad.
In fact, it might even be the cleanest spot in Sean's apartment.
But even with that being the case, it's still apparently got a faulty toilet that
doesn't flush unless you reach into the tank and pull out the valve.
Not very convenient.
Last but not least, we have Sean's bedroom.
If you were expecting anything more than a mattress lying on a carpeted floor, I don't
know what to tell you.
At least it looks like he's got himself a walk-in closet, but considering everything
else we've seen here, I doubt Sean has many fits.
In fact, all I can see inside the dark recesses of that space are empty hangers.
Well, there you have it.
Sean Strickland's Las Vegas Apartments.
After winning the biggest fight of his career, though, Sean has received the biggest payday
of his life, with estimates suggesting he earned as much as $1.5 million, doubling his
previously estimated net worth in one fight.
Is Sean gonna spend some of his purse on a new home?
He might.
Then again, he also might spend some of it updating his run-down yacht.
Dig deep enough into Sean Strickland's social media accounts and you'll find another
home tour of sorts.
Well, an up-close-and-intimate look into his prized yacht.
Okay, like everything else in Sean's life, this 1992 sailboat is a little run-down.
But Sean is nothing if not frugal, and he managed to make this thing last for a while.
He even installed a toilet seat below deck just in case of emergencies.
Opposite that is Sean's sleeping quarters, and much like back home at his apartment,
he has no problem using nothing more than a mattress to sleep on.
It might not look like much, but whenever Sean was back home on the West Coast, he would
take this sailboat out onto open water and unwind by swimming with the fishes.
Literally.
Unfortunately, his love affair with sailing would come to an end in summer 2023, when
his prized possession finally gave up the ghost, started taking on water, and wound
up landlocked.
A couple of days later, Sean would abandon the vessel on the side of the road.
First, he'd salvage everything worth saving.
Eventually, the police would show up as well, but they didn't seem to be all that concerned
about Sean's dumping hazard.
So, if you happen to be somewhere in the California area and drive past this baby sitting out
there on the side road, feel free to claim it for yourself.
Alright everyone, that's gonna bring the Sean Strickland house tour to a close.
Thank you so much for watching, and before you head out, consider answering the following
question.
