On the road of choosing a career full of obstacles,
here are the fatal mistakes you need to avoid.
The first mistake is to prioritize the school over the career.
I have seen many of my friends make this mistake,
and this mistake is often found in people with good grades.
Why is that?
Because those who have good grades have long built an image of their family.
So when choosing a school,
you also want to choose a prestigious school or a good school.
When you enter a prestigious school,
your friends, teachers, and relatives will admire you.
Studying in A or B majors is no different from the eyes of those around you.
For example, you want to study in the IT field of Bach Khoa,
but because this field has too high scores,
you only have enough points to pass other fields.
Instead of studying IT in another school,
you decide to study in Bach Khoa in which field you have enough points.
Then you will be able to study in a prestigious and well-funded school.
On the other hand, you are not allowed to study the field you like the most or the most suitable.
And when you go to work, you will have a lot of problems in deciding your career path.
You don't have enough passion for your job.
If you are lucky, it still has a certain compatibility,
and you can continue to develop and build your passion.
And in worse cases, you have to change to another field and start over.
Mistake number 2 is to study in any field.
This mistake is easy for everyone,
especially those who have no career path,
so now there is only one way to study in which field,
which field, which field, or which field.
So you are very likely to fall into the case of studying in the wrong field.
If in the first or second year, you find out early that you are in the wrong field,
it is still better than when you graduate,
you go to work, you just found out.
Some of you think that is normal,
but some of you also fall into a negative mental state.
In addition to not being understood by your family,
it will lead to a bad phase in your life.
The right solution is that you have to choose your field first,
and then consider which field you have to take in that field,
and which subjects you have to take in that field.
I just started to practice,
that's the right mindset in choosing your field and going to college.
Mistake number 3 is being affected too much by others.
This also depends on the personality of each person.
There will be friends, first of all, who are very important to the opinion of the family,
very afraid of sad parents, so they are easily affected by those around them.
Secondly, I don't have a clear opinion,
I don't know what I like, what I am suitable for,
so when relatives see me confused,
see that I have not had a choice,
they will give a lot of opinions and will be more decisive
in wanting me to study a certain field according to their wishes.
All parents think that they are responsible for guiding and directing their children's careers.
However, these are just opinions for you to refer to,
it is not oppression.
If you are an observer,
you can analyze and explain clearly to everyone around you,
they will no longer give too many opinions or advice to you.
On the contrary, if you are easily affected, easily swayed,
it will make everyone around you less confident
and they will want to have a deeper impact on your choice.
Of course, the opinions of others will be very subjective,
those are the professions they like,
but it is not a profession that is truly suitable for you,
and you will very easily fall into the case of learning the wrong field.
I have made a video explaining very carefully about learning the wrong field.
If you want to know the bad things you have to endure when learning a certain field,
you can watch that video.
The fourth mistake is that I spend too little time to learn about the professions.
I have also experienced a period like you, so I still understand.
The pressure of school is very high in the 12th grade.
First, the school must ensure that you graduate,
and then hope that the school has a high university admission rate.
As for which field you study, which school,
whether it is suitable for you or not,
it is not the primary concern of the teachers.
Therefore, I also have very little time to choose a profession,
while there are too many professions to choose from.
In a short time, you will not be able to understand
in-depth about the fields and jobs I will do in the future.
Most of you have already enrolled in university,
but you still can't imagine what you will do in the future.
But you have to understand that I study at university
so that later I have a job that suits my field of study.
But you can't imagine what you will do in the future,
how you are doing a job that you don't know what to do.
From then on, there is no way to study,
there is no table for parents to hang on the wall.
Not to mention, I am the same.
I have already enrolled in university, but I don't know what my future job is.
It's just a vague imagination in my head,
and it's not realistic.
That's why it took me a long time
to find out and direct my career.
Not to mention, when I look for a job,
there will be professions that require you to be talented,
but talents like drawing, for example,
require you to spend 6 months to 2 years to practice.
So I missed some opportunities.
So how long does it take to find out?
Actually, from the 10th grade,
you have to start asking questions about your strengths and weaknesses,
about your hobbies.
If you choose the professions that require you to be talented,
from the 11th grade or the latest,
at the beginning of the 12th grade, you have to practice.
It will ensure that you have enough skills
to be able to enter any school you want.
It will only take a year to find out,
but you accidentally missed some opportunities,
as I just said.
And the cases that come close to home,
only 1-2 months to find out,
you will definitely not have enough time
to understand the professions
that lead to the choice of talents.
And the choice of talents is more unfortunate.
This is due to the fact that you have enough skills,
learn that profession,
or are easily affected by people around you.
Number 5 is too much money.
When people around you give you advice
to learn a certain profession,
most of the reasons that people give
is that the profession makes a lot of money.
When you don't understand your strengths and weaknesses,
you don't know which profession suits you.
Of course, you will choose a profession that makes a lot of money,
as others advise.
In fact, the professions that everyone thinks
will make a lot of money,
are not sure that they will make a lot of money.
For example, when it comes to financial banking,
everyone thinks about money.
However, how to make a living,
you have to struggle to find out,
then you will know the truth.
You have to struggle to google,
struggle to ask others,
then you will know what it is like.
Number 2, if you don't have enough passion,
don't have enough suitability,
don't have enough talent,
then even if you have as much as you can,
you won't make as much money as you think.
For example, the IT industry is always very high,
but if you are not good enough,
you don't have enough passion,
you don't have enough motivation
to be able to work to the full,
then your income is normal,
and you don't even have fun at work.
And then there will come a time
when you ask yourself questions like
what I was born to do,
what does this life mean to me?
It's called a life crisis.
The answer to this problem
is the Japanese idea of Ikigai.
When you choose a career,
you still care about 4 factors.
The first is that you can make money.
The second is that you are good at it.
The third is that you like it.
And finally, that's what the world needs.
Of course, a high-end university
is not something the world needs
to train.
If not, what do people train for?
Right?
And what you like or what you are good at
comes from within yourself.
You have to understand yourself
about your strengths and weaknesses.
With enough experience,
you can know what you like
or what you are good at.
Also because you don't have enough time
to find out,
so you can't conclude
what you like or what you are good at.
And you just know
which field makes a lot of money.
Ikigai, when translated into Vietnamese,
means living.
When you just do it for money,
you understand that you don't have a living.
Every job is very stressful.
Sometimes money doesn't give you
enough motivation to go to work every day.
You still feel good about yourself.
You still have the energy from your passion.
And you also need to have a good income.
In addition, it creates an overwhelming
motivation for you to develop
and feel that your life is meaningful.
And you can rest assured that
no matter what job you do,
if you do well,
you will receive a decent income.
And if you just focus on the job
that you think you will have a good income,
but you don't have enough ability
or you are not suitable,
it will not bring you a good result.
So that's 5 mistakes
that I'm sure everyone will get at least one.
Many people will get it all year round.
Not because you are unlucky,
but because it is too popular.
You just need to google
to find information about Vietnam
with a high rate of graduates
and job vacancies.
And even if you are good or bad,
if you can solve this problem,
spend more time to understand yourself
and your strengths and weaknesses
will help you find your direction in life.
