What's up my people! Today I'm going to show you how to do this super simple,
light animation in Procreate. Let's go ahead and get started. First things first,
we got to open up our image. So go to photo in the top right hand corner,
navigate your image in your photo library, and it should pop up right in your artboard.
Next, I like to turn on the animation assist. So go to the wrench tool,
go to canvas, and then turn on the animation assist button.
Now, in the new window at the bottom of your screen, press on the photo and set it as the
background. This will keep the image in the background during the entire animation.
Alright, so this is going to be super simple. Add a new frame, and then in your brush panel,
we're going to scroll down to the luminance brush group and choose the flare brush.
This brush is perfect for light effects, and we're going to make these lights twinkle.
Next, we're going to select the color of one of the lights, and then simply add a flare to the
middle of some of the lights. Notice that I didn't add a flare to all of the lights. That's because
we're going to add a new frame, select a color of another light, and then add a flare to the
rest of the lights on this next frame. Alright, so let's see what our animation looks like so far.
Press play in the bottom left corner, and oh my gosh, to change the speed, just go to settings
and knock down the frames per second. This looks much better, and that's basically it guys. To save
this out, go to the wrench tool, go to share, and then press animated gif. You may have to
adjust the frames per second again if you want it to go faster or slower, but besides that,
just press export. From here, just choose where you want to save your image. I usually just press
save image, and it should drop it right into my image library, just like that. Add those twinkling
lights. I hope you guys learned something from this video, and until next time, peace out.
