SpaceX is taking things one step back, but surely two steps forward!
Yesterday, SpaceX was actually one step closer to the next flight of Starship when it lifted Ship 25 off of the Super Heavy booster 9 and lowered the upper stage to the ground.
The whole process took place in less than 1 hour starting at 8 AM and finishing up around 9 Am CDT.
Bravo to the launch and catch tower!
According to Kathy Leuders announcement, this is the final step of the mission. One crucial task is configuring the flight termination system. The team will once again meticulously inspect the vehicle right up until the moment of launch.
She didn’t declare SpaceX would be finished two weeks in advance; but instead, each engineer responsible for their respective areas will continue to review all of the issue tickets. They're constantly exploring any additional measures to maximize the success of both the vehicle and the mission.
