(Serie A 2023/2024): Highlights Cagliari - Inter Milan

Launched in by Dumfries, too high for Thuram, but this is Lautaro Martinez, inches away from yet another goal and yet another one against Cagliari. Couldn't have struck it any sweeter on his weaker side. Thuram and now this is Dumfries. Inter do have the lead. Denzel Dumfries latching onto a Thuram through ball and having struck the post through Lautaro Martinez. It's the Dutchman who delivers for Simoni and Zaghi. Now Nandes, he could be in here for the leveller. Nandes! What a challenge that is from Chalonolu to take it behind for a corner. Good layoff that by Thuram. Has Di Marco got the pace he has? And he's found Lautaro Martinez. It's fabulous again. He seems to have all the time in the world. And Inter's captain has started the season in fabulous form. Two against Monza and Inter's second here. It's now nine in as many games against Cagliari. Nandes takes it. Augello steadies himself. Well struck. Paoloazzi for Luvumbu, trying to roll away from Darmian. Brilliant feat was he caught. Michael Fabri unmoved. No penalty. Cagliari convinced they should have one here. Nandes, Dos Sena couldn't climb high enough. Paoloazzi and now Suleymane. Soma was unmoved. He wasn't sure. Quadrado back for Chalonolu and it very nearly produced the third which would have made absolutely sure of all three points. Makumbu. What a ball too to find Zito Luvumbu. Luvumbu and what a chance here for Paoloazzi. And yet he didn't really connect. Soma did well nonetheless. It's an ominously good start to the season for Inter. Simone and Zaghi's men have two wins from two without conceding. A pair of 2-0 wins to begin the season for Inter.
