Quinton Aaron -- the man who played Michael Oher in "The Blind Side" -- is furious with those clamoring for Sandra Bullock to lose her Oscar over the new Oher drama ... telling TMZ Sports the actress has absolutely nothing to do with any of it.
Honestly, I don't know what to think.
It's news to me, you know what I mean?
I found out like the rest of everyone else.
Unfortunately, it's not a good turn of events.
This movie inspired so many people,
changed people's lives, mine included.
I feel for everyone involved, you know what I mean?
Not taking sides, I love Michael, I love the Toohey family.
I don't know, in the end,
I haven't been in communication with them
since the movie, honestly.
So I'm not sure what to make of what's going on.
It's just, it's unfortunate.
Most of what we could do is offer our prayers
and hopefully they resolve what they're going through.
In the process, the prep for the movie,
how much did you talk to the family and or Michael
about the story?
Well, I mean, I'm kind of iffy to really say now
about the movie in a sense because of the strike,
you know what I mean?
I really don't wanna talk about a project
that's a part of that.
But as far as getting to know the family,
I did speak to some of them back around that timeframe,
throw in the drag.
But I didn't meet Michael until a few years later.
It was, we were doing an autograph signing event
up in Chicago back in 2013, I think.
But I mean, I got a good sense from all of them.
They were real cool to me.
You mentioned this film inspired people.
I mean, it was Academy Award nominated
and Sandra won an Oscar for it.
Does it stain a big project that you've done in your career?
Do you look at it like that?
Obviously you have nothing to do with the story,
whatever is the truth or not.
I don't think it does.
I just think this is between them.
You know, and as unfortunate as it is,
I think it's just, I offer up my support,
you know, and prayers for all parties involved.
Like I said, I'm biased in the sense,
I don't know what the story is.
You know, this is just coming out.
We're just seeing this.
So, you know, there's gonna be rebuttals.
There's gonna be two sides or whatever,
but I just hope that everything works out for the best.
You know?
Social media days, everybody has a voice.
Fans have a voice on Twitter, or I guess we call it X now.
There are people who are actually saying
that Sandra Bullock should have to relinquish
her Academy Award for this.
To that you say?
I really feel like, you know,
we live in a society today where people are so hellbent
on pointing blame on people.
And to make a statement like that doesn't make any sense.
Sandra Bullock didn't have anything to do
with the real story that we're reading, you know,
as of right now, how, you know,
that's like if to say that she slapped Leigh-Anne,
so she should give her Oscar back.
You know, no pun intended to the Oscar thing that happened.
I'm just using that as a pun,
but like, I think people just need to chill out, relax,
and let the families involved handle whatever's going on.
And just, I guess, enjoy the show,
because it's out there for everyone to see.
But saying stuff like she need to relinquish her title
doesn't make any sense, you know?
So she did a brilliant performance, you know,
and that shouldn't be tarnished for, you know,
something that had nothing to do with her.
