Zooey Deschanel and "Property Brothers" star Jonathan Scott are engaged after dating four years. They announced the news with a joint Instagram post.
Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are engaged.
According to People, Deschanel and Scott
took a family trip to Scotland,
and it was there where Scott popped the question.
The couple posted a photo to their Instagram accounts
to announce the news.
The caption, forever starts now.
Deschanel's children, Elsie and Charlie,
whom she shares with ex-husband Jacob Pachenik,
also partook in the engagement.
A rep for Scott confirmed the news to USA Today.
Scott and Deschanel dated for years.
Zooey marked that occasion earlier this month on Instagram,
writing, quote, I love him more every day.
They met in August of 2019 while filming
a siblings episode of Carpool Karaoke.
Jonathan was joined by his twin brother
and HGTV Property Brothers co-star, Drew.
Zooey brought along her sister, Emily.

That sounds just like Jonathan.
And it seems the two have been head over heels ever since.
Deschanel gushed to us in 2021
while promoting the celebrity dating game
that she had, quote, the best boyfriend in the world.
At the time, Scott joked that he and Deschanel

that she was the show's host, not a contestant.
Now they can both be contestants together in the game of life.
