SpaceX’s insane Steel Deluge Plate arrived, Mystery Dome section moved, and Dragon splashdown...

SpaceX is getting ready for the second orbital Starship flight!
Last night, they rolled out their massive water-cooled steel deluge plate to the launch pad.
This thing is a beast!
It’s so big, it had to be transported on a special vehicle.
The whole thing was moving at a whopping 1 mile/hour!
As the deluge plate was making its way to the launch pad, a PA announcement warned SpaceX employees to move their cars.
Apparently, the “pancake transport” was blocking the way!
The deluge plate is basically a giant steel showerhead.
It’s made of two layers of thick plate steel that are perforated on the upper side.
The water pressure coming out of the deluge plate has to exceed the pressure that the engines’ thrust is exerting on the steel plate on the vehicle launch stand.
