Boeing's F/A-18E/and F/A-18F Super Hornets is becoming outdated, and while the Navy has ordered some new BlockIII Super Hornets, the production line for the aircraft is shutting down, it will stop in 2025.

When 25 U.S. military companies visited Taiwan in early May, it was reported that they were selling the Hornet fighter to Taiwan.
