Plafond du Salon d'Hercule // Hercules room's ceiling

A deux pas de la Chapelle royale, le Salon d'Hercule présente un magnifique plafond peint, représentant l'Apothéose d'Hercule, scène mythologique où le héros Hercule rejoint l'Olympe. Réalisé par François Lemoyne, ce plafond est aujourd'hui considéré comme l'un des chefs d'œuvre du château de Versailles.

🌍 Not so far from the Royal Chapel, the Hercules Room presents a magnificent painted ceiling, representing the Apotheosis of Hercules. Created by François Lemoyne, this ceiling is today considered one of the masterpieces of the Palace of Versailles.
