It may well be the most famous chapel in the world. Commissioned by pope Sixtus IV and decorated by two generations of artists. In this video, I tell you the story of the beginning of the chapel. How it was built and explain the stories told by the fresco's on the walls. In part two of this series we will get to the ceiling by Michelangelo. In the third, I will tell you all about the Last Judgement.
