Skidoo 1980 Everest 500 Barn Find Rebuild and test . This was my old 1980 Snowmobile or SLED as they call them today. It was in our old family barn for 26 years and I was ready to send it to the dump , but decided to try and get the old sled going. It took a lot of work, the cab was smashed and I didn't include that i the video, because it took a lot of work and didn't think to record it. Also forgot the record the engine fix, it was seized, but a bit of oil on the cylinders and ti came free after an hour or so..I was surprised how easy it started , and I also forgot to record that too. Just 4 pulls of the ripcord and it was running like a top. Since I got it fixed , I had to order new coils as one of them died , so i decided to replace both of them. Also, there were bushings in the clutch that were worn out, and i replaced them too , and the headlight and tail light assemblies . I also installed a new drive belt Total reconstruction costs were around 600 dollars. I would like to sell it but my wife wants me to keep it for our son, he loves it and in case you didn;t notice, I had to buy a new helmet ! Thanks for watching.
