We're also going to keep you up to date with all the transfer news and we have
big news into us right now. West Ham chairman David Sullivan
says Declan Rice has played his last game for the club
and thinks offers for the midfielder may start to come in
from today. But when asked by Talk Sport if the Europa Conference League final
victory against Fiorentina was Rice's last game for West Ham he said
I think it has to be. We promised him he could go. He set his heart on going.
And Sullivan also added we offered him £200,000 a week
18 months ago. He turned it down. Sullivan said no offers had been
received for Rice but he thinks they will come in soon. And when asked if
West Ham had received an offer for the player Sullivan said no
but I think the offers will start to come today. There are three or four
clubs who've shown interest but out of respect for West Ham while
we're still playing you don't make offers for players. That's
not the way decent clubs do things. So after
celebrating silverware last night for West Ham it looks like
that was Declan Rice's last game for the club. He was spoken to at
length of course. Every interview that he did speaking to the press after the
game he said oh I've still got two years left on my contract. I don't
want to be disrespectful. He didn't confirm whether he would be
staying. He also didn't say about whether he'd be leaving. He just
said I keep giving a bit of a standard answer in that he just
wanted to celebrate, be with his teammates and really soak up the
atmosphere of course out in Prague. So David Sullivan says
Declan Rice he believes has played his last game for the club
and thinks the offers for the midfielder may start to come in from
today. This was him speaking a little earlier on talk sport.
