We have really seen the full effect of that combo here for San Miguel.
How is it that Nebra is used to playing undrafted players?
Raymond Azilan was undrafted.
Perez, pull-up jumper, too strong for CJ.
The pitch to Maya, he gets an open look, an easy jab.
And he fits the role that coach Tim Cohn and assistant coach Richard Bonasario have in mind for him.
Here's a transition attack, Jericho Cruz.
Cruz, Perez, and Romeo, all lethal in the open court.
If they run, they're going to be able to stop a back from Devens.
Part of me actually kind of feels that he doesn't need to use his challenge in San Miguel.
But CJ says, okay, let me just get two points anyway.
Good tap from Pesumal.
Nebra got the ball, Pinto pushing him.
Raymond Azilan, wide open.
He's got that shot, he's got that shot, and he made it.
You know, I also think...
Oh, that was a great slip.
But it didn't go in.
Brunquial on the second try, he mops up his own mess.
JD, Jared Dillinger, to play a lot of minutes in this game.
I was actually excited.
I'm excited for that.
And he was so excited as Cruz takes it strong to the basket.
That's true.
Because even Salcedo, when he was playing for Arellano back in college, he was a natural forward.
Not exactly a center.
But they gotta stop the inside presence of San Miguel.
Perez bumping into Pinto.
They call a charge on CJ.
Even if he's got a big upper body, he still maintains a lot of tremendous speed.
They've been stuck at eight points.
Pinto, do you want to do it?
Nards.
That ball's stolen away.
CJ, forward pitch to Romeo.
Terrence blocked by Pinto.
But Brunquial with an offensive rebound at two points.
No one in there to stop him from scoring close to the basket.
Now Motautuwa sitting down, Noy Baklao getting some burn here.
Someone's gotta be a main threat on offense.
How about Brunquial?
The patience underneath.
Inaurin has played a lot already in the PBA T-League and the PBA 3X3.
Gumaru from downtown.
Donna Gomez, but Mariano's in the right place at the right time.
10-point lead for San Miguel at the end of the first 12 minutes.
And that's what you like to see.
Oh, what a pass, Nadine.
Area where you will ask your players to be more coordinated.
Nice soft shot.
Bulanadi running into trouble.
Here's Cruz, the problem solver.
And he gets two points off the glass.
Aguilar is playing the inside for Paracainebra.
And he's not a threat.
He's not an offensive threat.
And what you want from your big guy is for him to be a threat.
To invite the double team.
Surprisingly, scored 20 points.
And even he was surprised in that game.
But maybe with what he's showing here in the PBA, we won't be too surprised.
Approaching the 7-minute mark of the second cruise.
Adds to the lead of SMB.
I think it's important for San Miguel, or rather Paracainebra,
to start scoring from the outside.
Give a chance for that outside shot to fall inside.
There you go.
Lands back in the hands of Binto.
Aurin will take another three.
And will find a part of the net.
Oh, no.
Kim Aurin.
He actually told Paracainebra to the championship.
Ball faked on by Bulanadi.
Good ball fake.
And Alin puts it home.
And once clear, they should be fit to play about two weeks after the 15th.
Back to you, Judd and Bill.
Thank you so much, Bella.
As you see, what a gorgeous move from CJ Perez.
Not able to control the offensive boards.
Do you expect the face of San Miguel to speed up every time
Romeo and Perez are on the court?
He was a third-round draft pick of Mahindra in 2015.
33 years old, trying to make a comeback in the PBA.
CJ Perez has been amazing.
Vic Manuel and Jackson Corpus, the PSP Jimmers in the PBA D-League.
They are sitting on that bench.
Oh, that's right. Yes, in the D-League.
He's a little bit nervous here, playing in his first PBA game on a 5-on-5 level.
Perez to the block from behind.
Aurin getting the block.
It's 2-on-1.
And Aurin is going to score these double figures.
Last shot time.
Oh, what a shot!
That's a circus shot.
It's an 18-point lead for San Miguel at the end of the first half.
Only a second remaining.
Pinto, he recovers the basketball.
There's the touch, and there's the shot.
He makes one or two.
He can continue.
And good recognition on the part of Nards Pinto.
Yung Ginebra was only 27% from the field.
They're looking to improve on that.
A miss for Gray.
Aguilar underneath.
Deep corner.
Three-point shot not there.
Again, San Miguel is playing fast.
Cruz.
That was crazy.
Mariano, covering Tautua.
Romeo underneath.
Great pass by Big Mo.
That's absolutely correct.
And, Dadeen, if there's one thing we can say,
they made a good effort on the rebounding end.
Mariano to Gray.
And that was a fantastic find for Aljon.
He's the first guy to become the scoring champion in his first two years in the PBA.
It looks like Ginebra has been able to get some baskets because of their passing.
Oh, that was sudden.
San Miguel's lead is 18.
Romeo with a steal.
He got it.
And he's going to score with the left hand.
Terrence Romeo.
Here we go.
But, you know, I don't think they're going to call that anymore because San Miguel scored.
It was a different play, though.
It was already to Ginebra.
Romeo got the steal.
But, anyway, the play will continue.
And I have to comment.
Terrence Romeo is all business in this game.
Oh, lack of chemistry.
And he's an easy two points.
Oh, Gray with the major erasure.
You know, the coach always has his way with words.
Really struggling from outside.
And that's a shot they need to make against a big team like San Miguel.
Yeah, San Miguel isn't knocking down their three-pointers either.
Look who's back on the floor for Ginebra and Nadine.
It's Aurin.
Redeployed.
Once he steps on the court, he's going to go 100%.
That's what he's shown here.
Aguilar.
Beautiful move.
Now getting some burn here for San Miguel Beer.
His first stint here in the PBA on tour.
Oh, what a shot!
Talk about a shot maker.
That's marvellous for you.
Aurin, the kick out.
Dillinger had his foot on the line.
Still a bucket for J.D.
He's not going to miss.
When his three finally went in, it wasn't counted.
Oh, great pass!
Aurin spotting Salcedo.
Dance class has begun.
Terrence Romeo taking it to the cup!
San Miguel up by 19 big points, heading into the final frame.
It's a 19 point lead for SFB.
Baklao met by Salcedo.
It was hard for Cruz.
Spots Romeo.
Terrence scores again.
13 points for Terrence.
Using his speed to find the opening.
But earlier, you saw San Miguel running the pick and roll with Noy Baklao.
But Noy just doesn't have the speed to be able to roll quickly to the basket.
I would expect that maybe the pool will be announced on Tuesday.
Look at Romeo.
Get rid of the defense.
Terrence Romeo.
Let's remember what Terrence Romeo had to go through.
He was injured after his injury.
That hamstring has been very painful.
And he's finally recovered from that.
So it's great news here for Terrence Romeo fans.
Mariano.
One hander.
One hander is good.
And again, look at this lineup on the floor for Parangay Nebra.
No center.
It's actually Rob Salcedo playing the center position.
And Kim Aurin now with 12 points.
A little more side stuff for Parangay Nebra.
With a re-entry of Raymond Aguilar.
Oh, Romeo coming out of nowhere.
For the steal.
And he will score easily.
I mean to show that he's back.
And he's back in a big way.
Here's an open shot.
Aguilar has that.
Rodney Brondial.
There's the pick and roll.
He had to bail out.
And Aurin is going to score easily.
And that's 14 points now.
And then if you bring in Junmar Fajardo in the mix.
Wow.
Aguilar, if there's one thing he does well, it's position himself.
That's no good.
But Brondial almost had it.
That's a pick by Faundo.
And it's going to be another two points here.
And this time, a dunk coming from Kim Aurin.
Well, he has given us a lot to talk about.
But here's Raymond Aguilar who hits another one.
And his teammates are finding him.
So this is a 14-point lead.
Here's Terrence Romeo knocking it down once again.
Remember the first shot by Creda Dee in the third quarter.
Her thrust went in.
And we thought, okay, he's about to get going.
But it has slowed down again after that.
Checking into the game for the first time.
He's going to replace Kim Aurin.
Well, he was a third-round draft choice.
Oh, that's huge!
Last year.
28 years old.
He's a fella from San Jose, California.
Great setup.
Española from the corner.
That's a three.
And the pyramid.
Take a 12-point win, 90-78.
Very impressive showing for San Miguel.
