Skydrone Part 2 The Video and Epilogue my First 2 drones end in Good News.
Hi everyone, this is like Part 2 of my Skyquad drone video, in which we lost 2 new drones in 2 days. The very first one went too high and the wind took it, and we lost it in the woods, searched for 2 hours and gave up, and the second one, the very next day, we practiced for a while, then again we were going too high, we were trying to test the camera, and get some interesting footage, but again a gust of wind above the tree line blew the drone into the top of another tree . We could see it, and tried to launch it from the tree top, but the propellers were stuck in the pine branches and the motors stripped the gears. After about an hour, using a ladder and an aluminum pole, we got the drone down to the ground, but 3 motors were stripped, and it was unrepairable.
This is where the story gets good, I emailed SkyQuad support and explained what happened and they kindly are sending me 2 free replacement drones. How's that for good customer support. I told them exactly what happened, and we are trying to learn how to fly drones for fun, and we really were not interested in the camera etc, so they are very good company to deal with. Thanks to the people at SkyQuad for their great customer support.
