Highlights: VfB Stuttgart - Frankfurt | Semi Final | DFB-POKAL

The business end of the DFB-Pokal, one step from Berlin. The sheer spectacle of the Stuttgart fans, breathtaking. The Cannstatterkurve, a picture. In opposition, noted knockout experts, five-time winners Eintracht Frankfurt, for whom Rondal Colamorni returns as a starter. A 20-goal season so far. Cyril Guirassi leads the line for the home side. He scored in two of his three cup ties in Stuttgart's surge to this year's semi-finals. Wins over lower league teams in every single round so far for Stuttgart. Here's Waldemar Anton. Anton's pass. Chaser now for Josef Wagnermann. Wagnermann, Thiago Tomáš. Tomáš with the shot! It has taken 19 minutes for the opening goal and Thiago Tomáš has Stuttgart's fans in absolute raptures. Anton's ball here to unleash Wagnermann, who was a semi-final loser a year ago with Hamburg, his former club. But this finish by Thiago Tomáš is simply devastating. Kevin Trapp had no answer. Advantage Stuttgart. Frankfurt's recent league form appalling. A run of nine winless games in the Bundesliga. Here's Christopher Lentz. In towards Kolomwani. Warder. Got the cross in. They're headed down here for Kamada. And the ball held well in the Stuttgart goal. This is the goalkeeper's first major piece of work so far tonight for Stuttgart. It really has been a new coach bounce for Sebastian Hoeneß. Stuttgart unbeaten in his five games in charge so far. Here's Silas on the move. Silas now to find Wagnermann in space. It's Wagnermann. On he goes. Took on the shot. It breaks here for Thiago Tomáš. What a chance for 2-0 for Stuttgart. And for 2 for Thiago Tomáš. The ball spilled here by Trapp. It fell for Tomáš. But the angle was prohibitive. I think he has maybe here more time than he realizes to control the finish. Two former national coaches, Rudi Fuller and Joachim Loeb, absolutely loving this so far. Truly all the fun of the fair. Mokoto Hasebe. On to Buta. Buta in beyond Ndika. That's Gina Mbimbe. Mario Götze. Deflected cross here towards Kamada. Forced away by Stuttgart. Retrieved here by Lentz. Lentz crosses. He comes here for Colomuani. Ndika! Bludgeon Frankfurt level after six second-half minutes. It is just the second-half start they wanted, they craved. And now they have. Rondel Colomuani back in the team tonight. He a goalmaker for Evan Ndika to level the cup tie. Only Ndika's second goal of the season in all competitions. It is timely. 2-4. Here, Mokoto Hasebe at 39, still magisterial for Frankfurt. Hasebe. On for Kamada. Anton's challenge was not the strongest. Daiichi Kamada in full flow. Kamada! Ten minutes into the second half. Comeback complete. Kamada's fourth goal of a momentous cup run. Made by Hasebe, who becomes the oldest assist provider since records began in the competition. The shot just too hot for goalkeeper Bredlow. The home fans still believe in their team. Lentz on the dead ball for Frankfurt. Can they put the tighter bed here? Lentz and Goertz are the plans A and B on this. It's in by Lentz. There's Tuter. Colomuani! And he will know, given his form, given his season, that was, by his standards, a really good chance. Made by Tuter's header. Onside, but over the bar. It remains a slender lead, but a lead nonetheless for Frankfurt. On the free kick here, Borna-Sosa. Sosa's set piece sent in towards Endor. Koulibaly into the mix. Blocked away near the break is Kamada's. On his own here for Frankfurt. Kamada still with him here. Colomuani! Taken down by Bredlow. The penalty. Yellow card here for the goalkeeper, surely. And a spot kick to maybe seal the cup tie for Eintracht Frankfurt. It is Colomuani against Bredlow. A battle Colomuani was never going to lose. On now to six cup goals in his maiden Frankfurt season. The top scorer in this season's competition. Has there ever been a better free transfer in German football? Borna-Sosa to play now just seven more minutes. It's Silas. Atakan Karazor. On to Enzo Mio. And Mio's shot! And they're back in this. Enzo Mio there, quarterfinal match winner. Has he now launched tonight's late rescue mission for Stuttgart? But is Silas here onside? A player who is maybe in the line of sight of goalkeeper Kevin Trapp. And the answer is he is onside. And this goal stands to make it 3-2. There is too a big deflection here off Makoto Hasebe to deceive the goalkeeper further. But they are back in this game with seven to play. Here's Borna-Sosa. Touch was heavy and so too was the challenge on Buta. And Borna-Sosa booked earlier. We'll see from Daniel Schlager a second yellow card. And he now is sent off on 85 minutes. A hammer blow to their comeback hopes. Is there one more chance? Milo's corner helped on by Koulibaly. Ito back in. Oh, they claim a hand! Loud appeals. Well, for now, play goes on. The shot by Furyk is blocked. Well, Stuttgart here are certain. There was a handball in there by Buta as he was challenging with Girassi. It is being checked by referee Daniel Schlager. It is a really hard one to call this. Deep in added time. No penalty. The highest of drama at such a crucial point in the match. No penalty. A huge let off for Oliver Glasner and Eintracht Frankfurt. The end of the road for Stuttgart who finally lose under Sebastian Hoeneß's coaching. But this really hurts. It's Frankfurt who prove in the cup for matters little. Oliver Glasner's Eagles diving headlong all the way to Berlin. And a ninth final appearance.
