Now it wasn't the result Manchester United fans wanted. A 1-0 defeat to sixth place Brighton
makes the race for Champions League qualification all the more exciting as the season comes to a
close. Manager Eric Ten Haak says it is vital that a club of United's stature finish in the top four.
We need to be there in the Champions League and we want to be there because we want to challenge
with the best teams in the world. So we do everything that's in our power to get that done.
It's a battle because in the Premier League many teams, clubs are competing for it and
they have the power to fight for that as well. But we want to be there and we do everything
to get there. Well last night's defeat means that United haven't won a single away game against
teams competing for European football. The draw against Tottenham last week is the only occasion
where they haven't lost. Every time in the season when we had a defeat and we bounce back so I count
on my players, I count on my team we have to do it again and so there's no time to stay in this.
So in one hour we go to the game for West Ham United and all focus on that and we prepare them,
we make a good plan, the players have to take responsibility
and they will do. I count on them and they have to do it and they can do it because
we have the evidence in the season every time when we had disappointments they bounce back.
