The Magdeburg Water Bridge is a navigable aqueduct in central Germany that connects the Elbe-Havel Canal to the Mittelland Canal. It is located in Magdeburg, the capital city of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt.

The Magdeburg Water Bridge is a remarkable engineering achievement, as it spans over the River Elbe and is 918 meters (3,012 feet) long, making it the longest navigable aqueduct in the world. The bridge has a width of 34 meters (111 feet) and a height of 23 meters (75 feet), and it took six years to construct, from 1997 to 2003.

Before the water bridge was built, ships had to travel around 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) through a series of locks to travel from the Elbe-Havel Canal to the Mittelland Canal. The water bridge eliminated the need for this detour and reduced the travel time for ships from several hours to just a few minutes.

The water bridge has become a popular tourist attraction in Magdeburg, and visitors can walk or cycle along the bridge to enjoy the scenic views of the Elbe River and the surrounding area. It is also an important part of the European waterway network, facilitating the transportation of goods between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.
