Antonio Tarsia
(Capodistria [now Koper], 28 July 1643 - Capodistria [now Koper], 20 October 1722)
Italian composer. Tarsia was born in Capodistria. On 18 May 1662 he was appointed organist and choirmaster in Koper Cathedral, a post he held until 1710. He was the major composer of the early Baroque in Ljubljana and left a large amount of Latin sacred compositions. He died in Capodistria, Italy (now Slovenia). #ClassicalMusic
