You can't stop this!
What's going on, everybody?
It's Andrew from the Fun Bros.
I'm here in Venice Beach,
and I'm here to talk to people about the Asian squat.
And hopefully, I could even convince some people
to join the Asian squat movement.
But hold up.
What is the Asian squat?
The Asian squat, also known as the Eastern squat or yoga squat,
is when you have both of your feet flat on the ground
and your butt is pointed down, almost touching your heels.
It's pretty similar to the way people are taught to squat
when weightlifting because of its stability,
and it's less strenuous on your knees.
The Asian squat is also said to be a more healthier way
because it relaxes the puborectalis muscle,
allowing the anorectal angle to straighten
and the bowel to empty completely.
Pretty much, it just aligns everything better.
For the first-timers, it can be a little bit hard,
but when practiced, it's known to be the best way to squat.
Asian squat!
Yeah, there we go.
She got it. He got it.
Hey, did anybody ever tell you you kind of look like rice gum?
Yeah. Wow.
Shout-out to rice gum. Shout-out to Asian squatting.
Have you ever heard of the Asian squat?
Just right now.
No, nah.
Nuh-uh.
No.
I don't know.
Let's see what it is.
No.
Never.
Yes! I was just showing them yesterday!
Hell yeah, I heard of it.
Yeah.
Yes.
I think so.
Maybe.
Nah.
Is it because you're Asian?
Is it also just how, like, your family squat?
Both.
I think so.
Like, with my grandparents, like, I just saw it,
and it just, I don't know.
I feel like it's just, like, an instinct.
Carlos wants to talk to him.
What do you guys say, Carlos?
Say something.
What's the Asian squat?
I don't know, like, knees tucked or something?
Okay, so you have to bend down,
but the heels cannot come up.
They have to stay down.
Where you put your feet on the ground, all the way.
Squatting with your feet flat on the ground.
Can you do the Asian squat?
Like this.
Okay, so your heel is off the ground.
What if you did both feet flat,
and you just rested, like this?
I guess, yeah.
Oh!
Y'all, I'm right there with you guys.
Oh, do you have to put your hands together?
You don't have to, but it's a plus.
Even more Asian.
Plus Asian points if you put your hands together.
Cover my chonies.
Oh, God.
Like that, exactly.
You do it.
Like this?
Yeah.
All right, all right, all right.
Cool.
Okay, the Asian squat.
I feel like you're not relaxed enough.
You gotta relax.
Yeah, there we go.
I'm down, I'm down.
There we go.
Nice.
And you just relax.
You kind of lean forward.
Pass the cigarette along.
Pass the bowl of rice.
Pass the dice, whatever it is.
Cards.
Wait, and you're supposed to poop like that?
Exactly.
Did you know a lot of people, though, when they do squat,
they usually squat on the balls of their feet?
That's not good.
That's not good form.
That's a bad squat.
Why is it better than the other way?
It loosens up all the muscles in the sphincter, you know?
Otherwise, you're fighting to get it out,
and that's how you get hemorrhoids.
It helps loosen kind of your body,
and it feels really good.
You can stay in it for as long as you need.
Well, it's supposed to relieve the stress on your back,
and it makes you more solid.
I think at first, when people start to do it,
it's a little bit stressful, but when you get used to it,
you can do it for a longer amount of time.
A lot of people have been doing this for centuries
in the Eastern world.
In the Western world, we've been taught to sit in chairs,
but it's actually not as good for the bowel movement.
Agreed.
And the back.
I'm glad that athletes agree.
100%.
Can I test your stability?
See, look at that.
Cannot be moved.
Try to push me over.
Look at this.
You can't get me.
I'm solid.
I'm rock solid.
Hold on.
Go.
Try to.
Look at my center of gravity.
I'm too low.
You can't.
Stop this.
You can't.
Pretty solid.
You can't move me.
Oh, look.
Your dog's doing it, too.
You like the Asian squat, Carlos?
Oh.
No.
Officially, you could do the Asian squat.
Ha ha ha.
You're just a rookie still.
Thank you.
You're not a master yet, but I appreciate it.
Asian squat movement.
What if I told you that there's actually a lot of health
benefits to squatting like this?
I'd believe it.
What if I told you it's actually easier
to poop when you squat?
That's awesome, bro.
Some trippy stuff.
I do it every day.
Where's my life?
We can poop easier.
That's cool for him.
He stay constipated.
No, I don't.
Hey, you have a pooping little squat thingy.
You know what I'm talking about?
You ever seen that?
Is it safe to say that you guys are part of the Asian squat
movement now?
Yeah.
Of course.
You can hold that home and take a s**t now.
Yeah.
Of course.
I'll bring it to Wisconsin.
I'll represent.
I'm not sure about doing it for the bathroom,
but maybe just to hang out every now and then.
Absolutely.
I've been a part of it.
The Asian squat movement.
The Asian squat.
Asian squat movement.
All right, everybody.
Thank you so much for watching that video.
My only question for those watching out there
is, can you do the Asian squat?
The Asian squat's all I want.
I don't know what we're doing.
We're sitting at Venice Beach doing the Asian squat.
It's better for when you poop.
It's really good for your bowel movements.
When you're sitting on the pot, it's the Asian squat.
