After our midnight cruise we randomly ended up in Tallinn. We had no idea we were going there until about 11pm the night before but... welcome to Estonia!
I'm in Finland in the Arland Islands right now and we were meant to head to Helsinki tonight
but the weather's really bad and we just found out that we can't go there so instead we're being
rerouted to Tallinn, Estonia and I just mentioned on my Instagram today my new goal for the next
three years which is to get to a hundred countries before I'm 30. How random and amazing is it that
the day I mentioned that I'm going to a new country that was completely unplanned
which we had no idea was going to happen so a bit of misfortune that ended up in fortune
and we're heading to Estonia. Proper cruise! Let's go to Estonia!
All right next stop Tallinn.
Yesterday we had no idea this was happening and today we're in a new country.
It's cold, it's cold.
Welcome to Estonia, country 59. We only have a couple of hours here. We have a ferry booked
on to Helsinki because we need to be there tonight so we have about two hours to walk around Tallinn
and see as much as we can. My face is I think freezing. It's like one of those
treatments you get like very expensive treatments with cold you know. Where they freeze your face.
How was the boat for you? Oh my god when I think that we're gonna be on a second boat
oh my god it feels so good to be on land. Yeah it was rocky seas last night like it was up and down
and you could feel the waves hitting against the ship it was like you were crashing into something
and that was why our other boat was cancelled because the sea was so choppy but this one
managed to go but did not make for a nice journey.
Well this is pretty. The port is right by the old town and we've only just got to the entrance of
it now but there's loads of pastel colors it feels a bit like a toy town already everything's really
clean and well put together. Well we made it to the square. Another crystal square again.
This is Market Square one of the main squares in Tallinn and it is very cold. I was saying in the
last videos that it was cold in Finland but here today it's like minus five so you can feel it.
I felt like this morning on the ship when I went to the deck it was incredibly cold and
that hasn't changed. We only have about an hour left so all we're doing really
in this video is walking through and seeing the buildings.
We're on a mission to get to a viewpoint.
First impressions this city seems really
pretty. Every corner we turn, we're not walking with any agenda, but every corner we turn
there's another really nice looking building.
I'm just running around having a look as quick as we can. I think we have to head back to the ship
in about 30 minutes already but yeah really pretty place. I think I'd like to come back here in the
summer. This was our aim. We were following the directions of Anna, another blogger here,
and we were trying to make it to a viewpoint.
Well this is what we were aiming for. We just raced up the hill and now
we've got this view over the city. It seems like all the streets are empty right now
because it's so cold but it does give us a really good view.
Mission successful. Now we need to slowly make our way back to the ship. Let's go back to the ship.
Get to the chopper!
We made it to the ship and now it's just two hours to Helsinki. If you're wondering by the way that's
not the way I would prefer to see a city or a country. I'd much rather spend a longer time
there and see more of it and that's what I've done mostly in the past but since we had the
opportunity to I thought why not let's get out and see it for a couple of hours and add it to
the list. I'll definitely go back there in the future. I wanted to go to Estonia and the Baltic
areas before anyway so I'd like to get back and see this part of the world more but for now
Estonia done. Not done really. Tallinn seen a little bit of. Next stop Helsinki.
And finally we're back to Helsinki.
We are now in Helsinki and it's snowing. It's minus six and we're heading to the hotel now
and later on to meet the other vloggers. Please let us on. Open the doors you evil man.
Maybe in the next one.
Yes six as well.
Now this is more what I expected for Helsinki in January.
It's like a blizzard. I feel like I need sunglasses on. Barely see going forwards. So snowy.
Come on let's get inside. Okay here we go. Home sweet home.
Oh why hello. I didn't see you there. We just got to the hotel, checked in and we're here for the
Completely unexpectedly. And the introduction to Helsinki was blizzards of snow. I'll finish
it there and you'll see the next video back in Helsinki. Thank you again for watching and this
is my life.
