A 100-year-old House Gets A Beachy Update
“Our clients live in the beaches neighbourhood of Toronto and wanted a Modern Farmhouse-meets-Beachy vibe at home”, says Maggie Burley, Interior Designer at Two Birds Design. To achieve an open and airy ambience, they removed interior walls and designed an open-concept kitchen in the centre of the house. The homeowners have young children, so kid-friendly design elements like shiplap walls and wood-look slate are ideal for high-traffic areas. Wait until you see the clever placement of the kitchen banquette and the spacious ensuite upstairs.
