I've been wanting to redo these chairs for probably 9 months and I'm happy to finally get started. It was really easy once I chose the fabric. Choosing fabric is not my jam at all. But I think I chose a pretty safe pattern.
I hope you enjoyed the video. See ya tomorrow!
Okay, we are on our way out the door. We're gonna go get some fabric for the kitchen chairs that I have.
We got them on Facebook for like a hundred dollars. We got my whole table and all the
chairs for a hundred dollars and it was awesome. Are you okay, buddy? Oh, it's okay. I'll help you.
We're gonna go to Joanne's Fabric and try and get some fabric. It's gonna be my next project. Yay!
Here we are. We're at Joanne's. You ready to go look for some fabric?
It is bright out here. Okay, now you can walk. Yeah, it is.
No, you're gonna walk because you're a big boy. Okay, I don't know like anything about fabrics
really. I know the names of some of them but like I don't really know what would be good
for my chairs. I'm thinking kind of like maybe like a canvas-y feel. So many choices. Okay, so I
think I found what I needed. Something along these lines. This is like outdoor fabric and then this
is duck canvas so I think that's kind of what I want. I wanted like a thicker material to go on
my seats obviously because we use them a lot but these are expensive but they're 40% off.
Do I want like more flowery? That one's kind of cute. I know that I want something big.
It's like a big print. I kind of like this one. I have to choose something because I'm so sick
of these chairs. I have to get them done like today. Do I want to go gray? Do I want to go bold?
Maybe some green? Maybe like geometric patterns? Should I do beige? I don't think I want to go here.
Kind of like something like this. I always want to go bright but I'm not brave enough.
I could seriously stand here all day and look at this fabric. I'm terrible at deciding.
My house is very gray so I like that but my chairs are not white. They're like an off-white
cream color so. So I thought this would be good. I like this pattern and yeah. I don't know. I could
I could seriously stand here all day and try and decide but I'm the worst at making these types of
decisions and I just don't I don't have quite the eye for fabrics and things like that so
I'm just gonna go with it. I think it's not good. Plus you can't beat the $6.99 a yard price.
Disclaimer. I don't know anything about building things but it's like just a stapler right? Like
don't point it at people's faces. I mean it's really hard to like push this thing down so I
don't feel like I can do anything too terrible. Like keep your finger like don't put it on top
of your hand. There's like some rules to keep obviously but I mean how hard can it be?
You guys I did it! This is an example of the new chair and this is an example of the old chair.
They have this like plasticky stuff on top to protect it and I don't have that. I'm gonna get
some like other protector stuff but I don't know. I think I like it. So you might want to say Tara
those chairs look fine. Why did you need to reupholster them? I'll tell you why. Well first
of all I didn't really like the pattern on that chair and second of all a lot of them have
this top plastic part are is ripping. So like poor Porter this is his chair that he sits on.
He's like scraping his knees on these all the time. Anyway so that's why I wanted to replace them.
Feels good. It feels really really good. I love it so much. I'm so happy. I can't wait to get to
all of these chairs. That's gonna take forever and definitely not happening today so this is
the end of the vlog. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye!
